Hi Frazzle and everyone! I had to come check out your new board and say hello. Like many of you, I started out on the PFTSOB board, GS, then moved on to some of the other boards that started as offshoots of these.

I am excited to have a place to visit that offers intelligent, respectful discussions with smart women who have varied interests and are here to support each other.

Firecracker invited me over here from the Idol Forums. I love the idea of a forum where we can discuss anyone, where it isn't limited to only one of our 'loves'! If you want pics of JD/INXS, I'm the supplier! I'll rely on Firecracker to keep me up to date on Clay!

Okay, introductions: so, I am austin a/k/a Rikelle, and I started a very long time ago on americanidol.com. I was only there a short while until I discovered the BB. I became pretty involved in the fandom because of my sending my brother, Neill, out to take pix of C. I've also spent a little time on GS, and still have to read there. I also LOVE to read Television Without Pity but don't post there; too intimidating. I follow AI, Ugly Betty, and Top Design over there.

I live just outside of Austin, Texas; have for 11 years. Moved here from South Florida. Born in New York City, (Queens), moved to Miami when I was 10.

I've been married for almost 17 years, and have a boy, 11, and a girl almost 8. And I just turned 49 (yikes - I have a 7-year-old!) We went thru infertility which is why I was having kids in my 40s.

I used to work as a legal assistant, but haven't really been employed in about 12 years. Although I should be because we could definitely use the money and I tend to get into trouble when I'm not busy. I have done a LOT of volunteer work over the years. And I play tennis. And I write. And I'm on the computer a LOT. And I go out to hear music. And I try to help my single young friends with their love lives. And I'm thinking about going back to school. I keep busy. I also have fibromyalgia, which luckily doesn't slow me down too much, but I do get tired quite easily and it can be painful. Although some of it may just be from being by age.

You sound like a very interesting person Austin! Having young kids will keep you young! I know nothing of the condition you mention having. I will have to read up on it. Glad it does not cause you too much trouble.

Well, I will do a little intro then, but I think most people know here know a lot about me.

I live in a very small town in Illinois. We built our home 6 years ago. I have been married for 20 years this July. We have two boys, 18 and 16. They are just the bestest! And Smart! And Talented!

I run a daycare out of my home. We finished the basement to look like a pre-school. I have done this for 14 years. I cureently have 10 daycare children but they do not all come the same days and times. I will have 12 come summer. It is a lot of fun!

My current hobbies are dolls and learning to make jewelry.

I love the internet! I started on it when Clay was on AI, but GS was the first site I had the nerve to post at. Now I don't shut-up ! I left GS simply because I was only in the OT threads and then felt it was time to move on. I met most of the fine ladies here thru Con/JD fandom so I will always be greatful for that.

Other than that I am not all that interesting . Just a pretty normal person leading a pretty normal life.
