When is your birthday Firecracker? Mine was 3 weeks ago during the SXSW Festival in Austin. So I went out 3 nights in a row. And some days too! Fun.

Happy Belated Birthday Austin! Sounds like you had an amazing time!

My birthday is April 10th!

My birthday was a lot of fun. Warning: a little bit of Constantine content ahead. I (and some of my Texas friends who I met on the BB), had never seen the FA band before. They were playing with Danielia Cotton at SXSW. Also the day before, Jim Boggia (who we had seen with C in Dallas), was playing a solo set. So we went to both and had a great time.

Jim was really sweet to us before and after his set, once we convinced him (I hope) that we weren't crazy.

The next day at D. Cotton's set, Jim walked in the club, said "hi" to us and hung out with my friend chatting for the whole show. After the set, we introduced ourselves to Winston (love him), Marc and Clancy. BTW, they and Danielia were GREAT. Marc and Clancy walked out of the club and then Winston looked at us (and some other people that they knew), waved his arms and said, "Let's go!" Which was really nice of him.

We then walked around SXSW with them for a couple hours - we also went to see another set at the top of a hotel. The guys were very funny, very down-to-earth and not arrogant. It was NOT like being with C for the most part. They were singing "We Are the World" and arguing over who sang which part. They were sweethearts pretty much. Marc kept pretending to walk into poles. People stopped Clancy a couple times (he has a red mohawk) to get their picture taken with him and he was very cool about it.

I would go see them playing again anytime. EVEN if C is with them!
