At the bottom of the homepage screen do you see a chatboard? I think you have to specifically log in to it, even if you are already logged in to the board.
I like to use chat to get things done...for instance, say, I am spending 10 mins washing dishes...and then do it and come back to YAY you did it.
Or half hour writing a scene from Ugly Betty (I am going to try to do spec scripts for Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy). SPec scripts do not get you jobs on the shows you've written, but are used as samples for jobs on other shows.
