I bet parton is just figuring out what to sell her for. That is kind of weird she had not established a price yet...but I guess if it was just a feeler, now she has to make a decision. Wolf sounds like she will be hard to find.
I bet you could have mEda make her a black cape similar to the one she came with and you may be able to find a cute corset dress somewhere to go with it.

If the diameter of the head is 6-7 inches around then she would take a 6-7 wig.

Yes, bill is going to bring top dollar Twisted Evil ...I can feel it! And he should. He is an amazing doll.

Isis's head measures 7 in.

Well, she was asking $75 with shipping for a different Hestia in the wolf's wig, along with a different outfit and a hat and stand, box and card. I asked her which Hestia it was since I knew the hair was Wolf's but not the face. So she told me which one it was (white nun Service 2) and that she had swapped wigs with the two dolls. She said BUT, if I was more interested in Wolf then Ribon 2 she would probably sell her to me nude. I said I was interested. She asked which wig I wanted. After viewing the wigs I went with the stock wig. I said I only wanted the nude doll. I didn't want the outfit or card or hat etc. So I asked what she wanted for just the nude doll - since I wouldn't be getting any of the other items in the $75 deal I assumed this would lower the price. So I asked her what she wanted for just the nude doll. Then I never heard back. If she changed her mind I don't know why she didn't just PM and tell me. Maybe these younger gals get embarrassed or something. Or think I would be mad scratch . I can't imagine it would take 9 hours to come up with her price Razz Maybe she had a hot date! I feel for her. She is selling off dolls and stuff because she was laid off and needs to pay some bills. It has to be hard to part with your dolls if you don't really want to.

At this point I don't care about a cape. The Hestias are just so cool that I want one to rewig and dress up in all sorts of outfits. I just fear I won't get one for that purpose. Parton said that JP has definitely dropped the line and haven't made any for months. She says Shana has Service 1, 2 and 3, but doesn't advertise them and Parton doesn't know what she wants for them. But Shana never got 4,5 or 6. Parton also said she is so surprised how few of them show up on ebay. Come on people - sell your Hestias!! Laughing

I cannot wait until the last day of the Bill sale! I bet there is a mad bidding frenzy at the end!!! Cha ching !!

So Parton has 2 Hestias she is thinking of selling? I'm surprized she does'nt advertise on Ebay or Flickr if she really wants to sell them for top dollar. Requiem's site really does'nt get that much action from what I can tell, and everyone wants a rock bottom deal. One thing I have also noticed about the Pullip/Taeyang market is that there is not the same amount of interest in used stock clothing items that there used to be. I tried to sell my Cornice and Suiseiseki stock outfits which are both very cool and got absolutely no interest at Requiem. I am actually glad I kept them both though. Mal may use some of the pieces sometime. I have'nt looked on Ebay lately to see if Pullip stock outfits are still selling for 30-40.00+ for popular ones like they used to. To me, that isn't a bad price if you get shoes and a nice, well made full outfit. You have to pay through the nose to just buy a decent dress these days. Rolling Eyes I have been rather pleasantly surprized that really well made BJD clothing isn't that much more than the Pullip/Taeyang stuff.

Oh, I forgot to ask you about isis and Rhian's shoes...are they cool?

Bill's auction is already up to $305.00! Shocked Shocked Shocked cheers Twisted Evil

PostSubject: Re: Dolls   Dolls - Page 34 Icon_minitimeThu Jan 31, 2008 8:50 am

Yay for the auction going so well!!

The sisters have high heels that are a thicker sturdier type with little painted on "diamonds" and a strap. Isis has blue heels and Rhian has burgundy. They stay on really well.

Parton really just wants to sell one of her remaining Hestias. She wanted to sell the Ribon (white nun) from Service 2 but with the red wig from Wolf. When I PMed her about it I told her I really was looking for a Wolf and did she know where I could get one. She said she had her (she just swapped wigs with the one she wanted to sell) but that she was fine with selling me Wolf instead. She just wanted me to decide which wig I wanted her in. After she sent me pix yesterday morning I told her I wanted Wolf in her red stock wig. She said she was cool with that. Then I said "Great! how much do you want for her nude and with the red wig?" That was the end of it then. I feel like PMing her just to ask "Hey, did you change your mind?" Then I can move on and keep looking around until something shows up. I just assumed she would lower the price from her original offer because I said I didn't need any of the clothes, cards, shoes or hats she was offering with the other doll. I really just wanted the doll nude and at the lower price. She could still sell the clothes etc. along with all the other outfits she is trying to sell. The thing is I would actually be cool with either doll. I just want a nude Hestia to play dress-up, wig-up with, especially since just this morning I got an email with another super JPOP wig offer full of great deals on 6/7 wigs $10, $12, $13 ones that I really liked! Maybe I'll ask her if she would rather I buy the other one? Maybe she isn't sure she wants to part with Wolf.

I remember when stock used to sell so fast on PS that I would miss out on some I want. I think a lot of collectors now are creating their own, using Sugar Mag outfits, mix and matching, etc. The only whole stock outfits I have bought from anybody is for the boys. Butler's, MJ's and Timulus's. None for my girls. I was tempted, but with all the Barbie clothes that fit, Sugar Mag, etc., there are just so many more options for the girls. I think that has hurt some with the stock sales.

Cool that Mal gets to wear some of the pieces!!

Gotta run. 6 little ones today and Isabelle's party!!!

So no word yet from Parton eh? With these things you just never know. I would be tempted to blow her off though because I don't like dealing with rude people. No matter how much I like the doll. There will be other chances that come up for you...knowing what a fantastic super shopper you are! *wink*

If it is a J-Pop wig you want to get for your Hestia I would go up a size. Their wigs run small for my BJD's.

Hey, again, I did not get the jPOP sale info! Would you mind posting the wigs they are offering here? *bats eyelashes*

No word from her yet. I even sent her a PM asking her to let me know today if she changed her mind about selling Wolf to me. She hasn't read the PM yet. Yes, I can be a super, duper shopper, but the dolls being virtually impossible to find puts one big damper on it let me tell you. I found a site tonight that has most all of them listed as discontinued and not being sold anywhere. I am so bummed about that.

I will get you the link to the sale. Be right back!

Well, I would go up a to a size 7-8 anyway if you are considering a JPOP wig for a Hestia down the road. I'm sure JPOP will have more good wig sales. She does seem to do it on a regular basis.

I really like that pink style wig , but the price will still be 24.00 with shipping so it is not that great of a deal. I already have two wigs that may work for the new girl and she comes with one too. So I will be good and pass! I like to get wigs when they are 15.00 or less. Now that is a good deal!

I'm happy if they are under $20 shipped. Over $20 just seems too much. OK, I will get a 7/8 if I get one. No word from Parton yet. She hasn't even gone to Requiem today. I hope she is OK.

We have been having quite the snowstorm tonight. We could get 12 inches by morning Mad Another snow day. Daycare kids messing with my plans for the day. I was suppose to run some errands and take care of my dad. Oh well. Winter just sucks!!

Eric got a new job. He gave notice at White Castle tonight and is starting up at the new Pizza place close to our house! He is excited!

TTY tomorrow!

Good morning!

Well, as expected - no school Crying or Very sad I was looking forward to spending a few hours with my dad this morning and running some errands for Justin's little birthday get together tomorrow. Plus I was suppose to make a deposit at my dad's bank and get them some groceries for the weekend. Eric will have to do that for them later today after he snow-blows the driveway. What a mess. We got about 8 inches so far with more snow this morning. It's foggy right now too.

Parton still hasn't been to Requiem or read the PM. I suppose if I can't get a nude Hestia I could just redress my sisters. At this point though I just can't imagine doing that. They are so perfect in their stock.

Hope you have a great day! Talk to you later.

ETA: Well, no daycare kids are coming. It is snowing like mad and people are just staying home. Even Rob is trying to work out of his home office today and not hit any customer sites. I hope it stops soon though. There is just soooo much snow out there to deal with! I still think I will skip going anywhere until much later today when they have a chance to clear the roads and parking lots. Eric is off from school and work, but Justin needs to get to work at 6:00 PM and his poor little Saturn is buried in the driveway!

We will be talking to my dad this weekend about Eric buying his SUV. Eric has decided he doesn't want to wait to buy his own car. So if my dad isn't emotionally ready to give up his SUV then we will have to go car shopping for Eric. Right now he drives my big van to work and school, but we told him he cannot drive that $45,000 vehicle for pizza deliveries. He chose to take this new job without consulting us, so now he has to come up with his own vehicle for it. As you know we plan to turn the big van in in the summer and we want it to stay in perfect condition. He worked it out with Justin that he will use the Saturn until he gets his own car and Justin can take the big van to his job, since driving is not part of his job.

*gulp* Wolf is now in a tie for which Hestia I like the best-except for the eyebrows... Wink ! I really like her in the red wig too! And her eyes and smokey make-up rock! I really think passing on her stock would be a shame...it is so beautiful and unique, plus it suits her character perfectly. However, not as much as with Isis and Rhian that their stock seems like such an integral part of their characters and you would never want to take her out of it. I am also sad these dolls are no longer being made. I would have thought about getting one or two...But, I doubt I will now being that they getting harder and harder to find.

It is good that eric found another job, but driving his own rig to deliver pizza's is sure going to put a lot of wear and tear on a rig that the job won't pay for...just a thought. I hear ya though, that he made that decision on his own, and with kids his age you have to let them make some of their own decisions and mistakes...

Man I am glad we don't get anywhere near as much snow as you do. That sounds like how Colorado winters are. That is too much for me. May the force be with you today! I hope you are able to get out and get your errands done!

Trust me, it's not about passing on her stock. It's about how she is not out there to buy new in her stock and Parton said she was not selling her stock. She keeps the Hestia stock for her Pullips. That pic up above I found on a toy site that was selling her but is out of stock. Lord I wish Parton would get back to me! I'm about ready to sell a kidney for Wolf! Razz Yeah, what was JP thinking when they came up with those eyebrows!! geek

See, that is the thing about my sisters. I don't think I could ever take them out of their gorgeous stocks. I do need to go a hunt for a tattoo though. I think all the Hestias have them.

Yes, this winter feels like we live in Colorado - only we do not get to enjoy the mountain views!!!

Fortunately Eric would only be delivering pizza in our little town, but yes - we told him about the miles and gas he would be having to pay for. They don't get much of an hourly wage either - $5. They make most of their money on tips. There are a LOT of rich people in Sugar Grove though Twisted Evil Hopefully they eat pizza!!! But he has good friends that work there and they say if they deliver on Friday and Saturday nights they make a LOT in tips. More than Eric makes in a weekend at White Castle.

I wonder what Parton is doing. I know you really want a shot at the doll, but as the days go on without contact, the rudeness of not getting back to you when starting a dialog with a possible buyer intensifies. If she is so not customer service oriented now, what will she do after she has your money? Maybe she is rethinking things, but still that is not an excuse for not letting you know where things stand. There are some red flags here for sure. Shocked

I hope it works out well for Eric. Tips do make a huge difference when you work in food service. Plus, you get to get the heck out of the kitchen and away from behind the counter! cheers

Yes, Eric would rather be driving around playing his CDs than flipping burgers and making fries! He really is excited!

If Parton was just not answering my last PM I would be put out, but she has not been to Requiem to check the PM I last sent - which I edited today. I know she is trying to find a job or maybe she is sick or something. The only reason I would still consider going with her is because she has outstanding feedback at PS. She's a heavy poster there and all of her sales feedback is as good as it gets - very fast shipping and excellent packaging. Trust me, I never bought anything from anyone on PS who didn't have a lot of good feedback. I have even become extra picky about Ebay and Amazon. I pretty much now only go with people with over 99% positive. If I see even a few "never got the item" I skip them.

Just talked to my mom and my dad is not doing well at all. That sore on his right stump opened up again. His blood pressure is low, still no urinating, extremely weak, refusing to eat and wants to be left alone. My mom was crying her eyes out on the phone because the Hospice nurse told her he is showing all the signs of "giving up and shutting down" Crying or Very sad My mom said to me "I know I shouldn't expect miracles" and I said "I feel like we already have had some miracles. So far we have had him 6 weeks longer than any of the docs or nurses thought we would". I really do feel that was like a special little miracle for us!

We will be running things over tomorrow. It has taken forever for the plows to get out here. Our cul-de-sac (which they do last in this town) wasn't plowed until 3:00 PM. Eric did get the items they needed a little while ago. The boys will be leaving for work later and Rob and I are here with the plumber who finally got here about 10 mins. ago. He is running behind today due to backs up. Hopefully it is just the thermo-cupler needing replacement and we will have hot water tonight!!!! I tell you you take hot water for granted until you don't have it!! I am NOT a cold shower person affraid . Anyway, I have talked to my mom 4 times today. She said he is just in a really bad way emotionally right now. He wants out of that bed SO BAD! So when we go tomorrow Rob and Eric will try to get him in his wheelchair. My mom says he wants to get in the wheelchair so badly, but we really don't know if he will fit in it. The water retention is soooo bad that he is just huge around the middle.

We did talk to him about Eric buying his SUV and he said yes. So next week Eric will be buying my dad's Blazer. It is a wonderful vehicle. My dad got it with the works 4 years ago. It is the reason I want one when we get rid of our conversion van. I am happy Eric decided to get my dad's SUV instead of something cheaper. It will be a good vehicle for driving to Northern his junior and senior year. So Justin bought dad's Saturn and Eric bought dad's SUV Very Happy Keeping my dad alive and with us in the driveway!!

So maybe tomorrow if we can get him in the wheelchair his spirits will get better. Honestly, I think when the sore on the right stump opened up again he just lost all hope. I think he was thinking maybe if it was all healed he could get his leg and get around. That the healing meant things were better than the docs thought. Now that this sore has opened for the second time since early December he knows it will never heal. It is one more thing to deal with again. To worry about again. Sometimes when I am there talking to him he talks like he is just sick and will get better someday. I just let him think that. He knows his heart is weak but I don't think he knows for sure how bad it is - or he has blocked that info out. Neither my mom nor I have said to his face he only has 10% power.

Well, that was quick! It was the thermo-cupler and he fixed it all ready! BUT, he says we have a drip from the roof down a pipe and we should have a heating and cooling guy come out and look at it as it could cause problems. Lord the money just bleeds out of this house Rolling Eyes At least it was only $212 for the plumber. That's pretty good I think!

Oh well, Parton is alive and well and posting at PS. I guess she is just avoiding my PM scratch I can't believe she would purposely not read it. She could have read it and just told me "I've decided not to sell her". I mean how hard is that? I guess some people just don't act the way I would expect them to. I am disappointed though. Especially since JP has revealed a new line of dolls and some of them are wearing stock outfits that were on Hestia prototypes. Feels like salt in the wound Crying or Very sad Well, at least I have two gorgeous Hestias that I just adore! But Parton - I gave up my Clay Aiken Fan Club membership to buy her!!!! Pix of JP's new BJDs and BJD pets. I wonder what they will go for?? I wonder what size they will be? If the will come in stock outfits, etc. If so, I already want the second to last girl in the long lacy dress! This could be exciting for me! JP clearly plans to own me for the rest of my life Laughing These are not the dolls that have some of the Hestia outfits on. My guess is that's what she was hoping for. One, I didn't want that Ribon and two why would I pay $75 for a used Ribon with a different wig and no stock when there is a guy on ebay selling her NRFB for $90 shipped? Rolling Eyes

Eeeek! I love the new JP BJD's and pets too! Too bad there is not a closer photo of the dolls... I wonder what size they are....and what the *cough, cough* price will be! I also am wanting to see more of the victorian lady that is second to the last. I hope they deviate from making just one face mold and then making minor changes to change the personality. I think they need to have more variety in their molds.

Yes, I think Parton was waiting to hear from the other gal to see what would transpire before getting back to you. Still is quite rude I think. Chalk it up to dealing with a teenager...or whatever she is. Some of these youngsters don't know how to deal with tough decisions and situations very well. They just don't have the business experience or people skills yet.

That is so cool Eric will buy your Dad's Blazer. He is passing down his prized possesions to his beloved grandsons. Kind of chokes me up a bit....

On a lighter note...less than 48 hours before we know the outcome of

Well, this evening just sucked. Our hot water heater pilot light went out within a few hours of being fixed Shocked I called the plumber back and he was sure it was the issue with the furnace flue and to get the heating guy out. I called the heating guy and he thinks the plumber is wrong, but he is coming out anyway. If the heating guy is right then the plumber will be back out. So tomorrow is going to be full of repair men in my life while trying to get things done for Justin's little celebration - which I have now moved to Sunday afternoon.

Add to that I did just now get a PM from Parton and yes - she has decided to sell the Ribon Hestia to the gal in Sweden and keep Wolf. So yeah, she was waiting for that to happen. She did say she has been busy with job interviews etc., but I am sure she was just waiting to see if she could get the sale she really wanted. I just wish she hadn't offered to sell Wolf to me and get my hopes up. Oh well, maybe someday someone will sell her. OR maybe the JP BJDs will turn out to be really nice and not too expensive - yeah right Razz

What are Ai dolls?

We have been having problems with the pilot light on the hot water heater all week. We thought it was a great price for the plumber - but now we may have to pay a heating guy and the plumber back out No

Yes, it is bittersweet about the Blazer. I remember how much my dad loved that SUV when he got it. He would just sit in it and look at the dashboard all excited Laughing He only got to enjoy it a little over 3 years. He hasn't even been in it since last April Crying or Very sad But Eric is really happy and I am glad he will have such a special vehicle.

Sorry the hot water heater saga is not over yet...and that Justin's celebration had to be postponed. It is his 16th bday right? At least the repair people are able to come out this weekend.

Ai dolls are kind of scary JP dolls that are babies or toddler type BJD's. Go to Frickart and you will see some of them there. They don't do much for me.

I'm glad Parton finally got back to you about what she is going to do. I can understand she was trying to cover her bases, and in the negotiation process with different people you just never know who will come through and who won't. I think she probably should have waited to offer you her wolf though until she was really sure she was in a position to sell her.

I am glad your Dad got to enjoy his dream rig for 3 years. I know it does'nt seem very long, but at least he got to break it in and enjoy it when it was brand new. I know Eric will treasure it and it will remind him of his grandpa.

Good morning!

Yes, I am glad the repairmen can come today. I just wish we didn't have to keep dealing with issues with water in this house!! You know, all the flooding issues and now the hot water heater. In the summer we had to have the blower in the furnace fixed. I mean the house and everything is only 7 years old. You'd think things we work longer than that!

OK, I think I know what the Ai dolls are. I have seen those babies at Frickart, but off course I couldn't read about them. I knew they were BJDs, just not that they were JP BJDs. I read they are plastic and not resin. They are kinda cute, but I have no desire to spend big money for a "baby" doll.

Yes, I get the position Parton was in. She really preferred to keep Wolf and sell the Ribon. But I didn't ask her to sell her, she offered to sell her to me and just asked which wig I wanted and sent me pix of her in each wig. Then once I told her which one and asked her price she disappeared on me. It just feels bad to have it offered to you and then taken away like that. I wish she just would have said she only wanted to sell the Ribon doll. I am happy things worked out they way she wanted them to. I am just a bit disappointed because I know how hard Wolf is to come by. You can't find her anywhere, you can't get on a back-order list. You just have to hope someone wants to sell her someday and you find out about it before someone else grabs her. I guess if it is meant for me to have her it will happen. Perhaps it is meant for me to have a JP BJD in the future instead. I just hate that I had the carrot dangled in front of me and then taken away you know?

Yes, my dad has actually had lots of dream cars in his life. A fancy Cadillac, an MG Midget (a childhood fantasy) a really beautiful Buick Regal, and one of the first Mini Vans. But he really was incredibly taken with this Blazer. I guess because of all the bells and whistles and the great sound system. He is selling it to Eric for $4,000, a very fair price and below blue book. He said he wishes he could just give it to him, but he wants my mom to have it in the bank for any future unexpected needs she may have when he is gone. Besides, I think it is good for Eric to have to pay for it and have a better appreciation of the real world and perhaps will take extra good care of it since he drained his savings account for it Razz I am just so happy for the boys that they each have their own car now. How cool for them! It is still going to be crazy having 5 cars here with a 3 car garage Laughing It's gonna be a lot of "Hey, move your car so I can pull out of the garage!"

Yes, everyone who was going to come today can come tomorrow. I guess that is cool because we can have the Superbowl stuff going on for the guys. It's usually guys in the family room and ladies in the kitchen at our get togethers anyway Very Happy We may venture in there during the half time show!

Justin will be 17 on the 4th! Eric 19 and Justin 17. They are always both odds or evens at the same time!

Hope you have a good day. I will be pretty darn busy today. My mom called and said for us to stop and get my dad Spagetti'Os on the way over Shocked He wants Spagetti'Os for lunch??? I haven't eaten thouse in years and years. Ever since I learned how to make the real thing! Laughing

I just found out that the JP BJDs are 57CM! That's big right? You can get an idea of the size of them in the second photo down at this site. It will not let me copy the pic. They look cool! At 57CM they are going to be costly I am sure. It will be interesting to see close-ups of their faces and stock.

Sadly, most of the pix from the doll show do not show up.
