I had a hankering for some original Herbal Essence shampoo (from the 70s). They don't make the original scent anymore and it now goes on ebay for about $60 a bottle.

Wow, I don't think I could bring myself to spend that much on shampoo

Well, I need to get to bed now. Hope to see you all sometime tomorrow. Probably when I get the baby to nap and the kindergartners on the bus.

I just want to say "Good Friday Morning" to all you lovely ladies! I hope this is the start of a beautiful weekend!! It's going to be a pretty busy weekend for me as we are having Easter dinner guests and I will be cleaning, cooking, baking and all that fun stuff. So if I am not around much Sat. and Sun. please know that I am with you all in spirit!

We will also be celebrating my birthday on Sunday and I know my boys bought me a chocolate fountain. We all wanted one of those. I thought it would be so cool to have for my son's HS graduation party. Anyway, do any of you have one of them? If so can you use any kind of chocolate to melt in it? The box is wrapped and I can't read anything on it. If you guys don't know maybe I can find some info on the net.

I ran into an old friend who runs a writing group last week. I decided to go to the group on Monday. I walk in and the place is full of candles, and dishes and dressed up people. Turns out they were having a passover dinner, and forgot to tell me not to come. SO I got to be Elija (sp?) the stranger they set a place for. The food was great.

I am celebrating the easter weekend by doing some major spring cleaning. Resurrect myself.

Thanks for the B-day wishes. It's really Tues.the 10th, but Easter is usually so close we just celebrate it together. I was born on Easter Sunday though. My mom's doc had to be called off the golf course

Before I disappear for awhile again to go bake the cakes (wish me luck on the bunny cake, I never did this kind before) I have some really exciting news. Long story short, my 18 year old spent about $60 of his birthday money (his b-day is New Year's Day) at the Alex Grey website. He is a really awesome artist that my son loves. Anyway, after waiting 6 weeks and not receiving the items I started to send emails and I filled out "tickets" on the site about the missing orders. I never got a response. I was about to file a claim with PayPal when I decided to make one last attempt at the artist site. I sent a letter explaining my son's extreme disappoint that the artist he so admires has ripped him off. WELL, next thing I know we not only have a letter back but a PHONE call! He wanted the spelling of my son's name so he could personalize the poster. Now you can order a signed poster but they are much more expensive so my son just ordered the regular poster. The artist said not to tell my son, he wanted him to be surprised. Well, he is surprised and THRILLED! Plus the artist threw in some extra stuff. We will be going out to get a special frame for the poster. My son sent off a very nice thank you email to artist. Now my day is made! Heck, my week is made! I am soooo glad I decided to write one more note to him!

Oh, he not only signed it and personalized it, he drew a little pic at the bottom! This is all done in the white framing around the actual picture.

Thanks ladies!! Yes, I am still so excited for my son. I have the cakes in the oven and then I jumped on my laptop to check Amazon for Alex Gray books. There is a wonderful book of his work called Transfiguration. I ordered the last copy at Amazon and get this - it was offered with free shipping! It was discounted and the free shipping! So now I will have one of his graduation presents. We are having a big party for him, but I also wanted something special for him to open. Too bad I couldn't have gotten the book signed - someone is selling the signed book on eBay for $265! Of course my son said he would sooner die then sell anything signed by Alex Gray. So cool for my kid!!

How did your son find out about Alex Gray?

My son's fave band is TOOL. They have been his fave band for a few years now and he has gone to see them in concert a few times. Alex Gray has done artwork for their CDs. My son has all their CDs and really liked the artwork Alex Gray did for them.

That is cool to like someone and then be exposed to other artists that way. The radio station that I've been listening to the most lately plays Tool.

Tool = Cool. Actually I haven't really listened to them yet.

The poster my son got is "Gaia". Next week I will take some pix of it and put them up. Hopefully I can capture his personalization so you can read it.

OMG! FC, I am so sorry I missed your birthday! I hope it was wonderful! You definitely deserved it. That is great you have your own chocolate fountain (no sharing with neighbors now?) I am still on my DAUGHTRY high and doing Easter stuff with my family and baby niece. I love ya girl! Congrats for getting your son the poster! That art is very cool.

You didn't miss it SB. It is tomorrow. We just celebrated it yesterday because we had the relatives for Easter. We checked out the Beverage Fountain today and it is awesome!

We have put the chocolate fountain together but we have not tried it out yet. I got the blocks of chocolate not knowing that I was suppose to get the chips. We will try it this week though.
