| In case anyone wants to know what we're talking about, this is a fuschia AB cube. NOT life-size! | |

| What do you use in between the beads? I usually used silver, but sometimes I used pewter (I think that's what it was.) We have some great bead shops here. Used to be in there ALL THE TIME. Now it's been years. : (
The bead shops are really expensive, but it's so nice to be able to get your hands on the stuff right away, you know?
What do you string them on? I used, what was it called? The 49-strand, I guess? It was 7 strands of 7 strands, or something like that.

| I order fuchsia, black diamond, colorado topaz and light sapphire. I should bring over a pic of the bicone shape. | |

| So far I have mostly used the gold rhinestone roundelles. Or I have alternated colored crystals with clear ABs. | |

| Here is the bracelet I am getting for free from Amazon. I want to make some like this in different colors. I will have to buy some cubes though. | |

| Lovely. My daughter's birthstone is peridot. She's unhappy about that because her favorite color is blue and the rest of our family has blue birthstones. Her brother's favorite color IS green. Go figure. | |

| I LOVE green! Is your daughter's birthday late Jan? My oldest is early Jan (New Year's Day) and he is a Garnet. My youngest is Amethyst so I already have bracelets in those stones for that reason. I have some pretty summer clothes in pale green and I thought that bracelet would go well. | |

| Oh, you were pregnant in the dog days of summer!
The bracelet came late this afternoon. For some reason our mail didn't come until after 5:00. It is so very pretty! It really sparkles and the cubes are gorgeous. I already made earrings with peridot crystals to match. Now if only we would get some warm weather so I can wear my pretty light green spring tops instead of winter sweaters!

| Yes, pregnant in August in Texas. Aackkk! If I remember correctly it wasn't an especially horrid summer; just hit the low 100's every once in a while.
A couple of years after that we actually got up to 112! I told my m-i-l that and she asked if we had moved to India.
But I still prefer the summer here to S. Florida. Even when it's just in the high 80s in Florida, the humdity makes it miserable. And the springs and falls here are wonderful. (EXCEPT FOR THIS WEEK.) It's usually like San Diego summer weather. 70s - 80s and low humidity.
I hope you get to wear your lovely jewelry soon!

| Trust me, here in the midwest we get some horrid summer days and nights. Many times we have had a week where every day is over 100 with heat index of 116 or more. HATE it. I did spend a week in Florida in July and the humidity was awful. I could not wait to leave. But, I have been in Phoenix (which I love, just not in the summer) and even though they have low humidity let me tell you 120 is HOT!!
This whole week is 40's to low 50's. Maybe next week spring will kick in and I can wear some spring clothes. I look forward to being able to make bracelets and anklets in lots of spring colors!!

| Today was a simply gorgeous day and I was out most of the day. I went to Hobby Lobby and Michaels and between both of them I was able to get everything I wanted to start the bracelets. When I got home my crystals came from NYC that I won on eBay. I also bought two nice books on beading. I don't know if I will get to make a bracelet this weekend. I have a new girl starting in the daycare Tues. (a 4 year old named Delaney) and I always make the whole daycare perfect when I have someone new starting. You know, super clean and organized. I just am OCD about that. PLUS my 18 year old comes home today and says he has to make Swedish food to take to school for a class project. So now I will need to go back to store and then WE will be making food for 25 kids! Of course he wants to do Swedish meatballs too. Wait until he sees how fun making 100 little balls is!!
BUT, I will have time to make some more earrings. I bough some Clear AB cubes to make a pair of those, plus several more cubes for the bracelets. I got everything I need to duplicate the green bracelet up above but in different colors. So wish me luck!!

| Do you have an IKEA near you F/C? We just got one in the fall (I actually almost got a job there). They sell Swedish meatballs by the bag! | |

| I hit Michael's today too. Daughter has a project and messed up the first tri-fold presentation board I bought. I had to get another one. $15.99. She's seven. | |

| Well, out here in the tiny farmland town we call home, we don't have an IKEA Though I think buying the food already made is cheating. It would be tempting though He says he will help with making the meatballs and the Swedish Macaroons, so we will have some time together in the kitchen. That will be fun. He is a cool boy to spend time with. I cannot believe your seven year old needed a tri-fold presentation board My kids didn't need one until about 4th or 5th grade! FWIW we get them at Wal-Mart for about $5.00, so maybe in the future if you have a Wal-Mart (and don't object to going there) you can save some money. Trust me, it adds up when a couple kids need boards several times during their schooling! | |

| I made my first cyrstal bracelet today!!!!! It turned out perfect!! It is like the peridot bracelet up above except I used silver rhinestome rondelles as spacers and around the cubes. I even added the little dangling charm. I am so proud of myself. I cannot wait to make more. I need to go get some more crimp beads. I hope I can find some in gold. I'm about to make number 2!
ETA: 30 mins. later and #2 is done! It's a light topaz with gold toggles, gold spacers and AB cubes! YAY me!
AETA: #3 - black diamond crystals and silver spacers and cubes! So pretty and easy. I think I will make one of these in every color and than start on ankle bracelets. Another trip to Hobby Lobby and Michaels this week!
FIVE! I've made 5 this morning. I just got faster at it! Now it is a pretty easy pattern and just single strands, but still they look wonderful and I made them for about a third of what they cost on Amazon or many sites on eBay.

| Maybe tomorrow. I just don't feel like it today (I get in moods).
I did go to a craft show once at a church and sold some stuff. But that day doesn't bring back very good memories. It was the morning that the space shuttle exploded over Texas, so everyone was kind of dazed. Also I had the flu.
