| Green Eyez...were you able to see tonight's AI before it is on locally in L.A.? I'd love to see it on demand. | |

| I really hope he wins GE! He is what AI should be about and more like season 1 and 2, before they upped the age to 29, which I think was a mistake. It changed the show. Yes, I know we would not have had Taylor, Bo and the one we don't mention, but I myself just liked it better when it was young, fresh faces instead of people polished like Melinda. For me, Jordin and Blake are the only bright spots left in this season. | |

| Well, I am watching it now. Melinda just said she isn't at all sexy. She is right, and it has nothing to do with her genetic looks. The woman just seems like an elderly virgin. | |

| I agree that Blake was the best tonight. He's going to make somebody VERY rich. He's one of the most commercial contestants they've ever had. Melinda was good, if a tad middle-aged seeming. I'm afraid I always feel like that girl is forty. It's her biggest liability.
Jordin was delightful, is always delightful.
Sanjaya gave us a personal best - he chose his song well, sang in tune and probably had little girls kissing the screen all over the country.
The rest of them can jump in the lake as far as I am concerned.

| I don't get the Blake thing as much as you all. I do know what you're talking about, but his voice still seems a little weak to me.
I haven't watched the whole show. Hayley moving around in her shorts was almost enough. Why would she wear SUCH short shorts? It is as blatant as Kat McPhee showing more and more boobage each week.
I really liked Sanjaya. Who even knew he needed to shave?
I thought Melinda looked the best I've ever seen. Loved her dress. But, yeah, she looks like she's in her 40s. I don't know why, but she does.
Jordin is my favorite to win.

| I haven't seen it tonight. I think I forgot to tape it, but I'm sure I can catch it on Rickey.org.
Of the Divas, I think Jordin is the most marketable. She can do rock and has a lot more of an edge.
Yeah, Melinda looks older than I do.

| Blake was really good! Sanjaya...........hate to say this was kind of good. During his auditions, we knew he could sing, then he came for the show and 'nerves' got him or something, and he was awful, then he got this attitude and quit trying to sing! Jordin, yes, I like her too. I think it SHOULD be between Blake and Jordin. | |

| I liked both Blake and Sanjaya tonight. I find it amusing that Sanjaya is leaving the judges almost speechless. They and TPTB don't seem to know what to do with this young kid who is staying a step ahead of them and dodging all the bullets that are aimed at him from everywhere. He is full of surprises. I certainly don't see him winning this, but he should do just fine in life, whatever his path. | |

The writer says that Sanjaya was dressed like his own evil twin.

| Thanks for the link Austin. I pretty much agreed with that review. I don't know if I should put any info from DialIdol here, but I am thrilled to see they show someone else in first place other than Melinda. It's the first time! I think maybe she finally has some competition. If DialIdol is close to being right then tonight's boot could be a "shocker". It does worry me that one of my faves seems to always be close to the bottom.
I agree that Blake does not have a really strong voice (hey, he ain't Clay) but he has pretty good performance skills and he's hip and current and someone I can see having a chance at a career after the show. I personally don't think Justin Timberlake has that good a voice and look at the success he has had. As I said before, I think if Melinda wins I think she could have a tough time finding commercial success.

| There is an interview in today's Chicago Trib with that Dave guy who started and runs the VFTW site. When asked who was his all time least fave AI contestant his answer was Constantine Maroulis | |

You are not alone in your opinion of Justin's vocal skills. He was good as the lead singer in a hugely popular boy band that excelled in performance and sang music that fit their style and vocal blending. I know Justin is also a musician who can play keyboard and write, but I haven't been impressed with his or any other member of NSYNC as solo vocalists. I haven't been to one of his concerts, so I may be all wrong about him. He does sell tickets. I think Blake can do well as a solo performer and I think he has female AND male fans. The male fans of singers/groups who record and perform current music buy a LOT of the music they like.

| OK, well DialIdol has Blake as number 1 and Lakiki going bye bye. OR Jordin I truly will weep if it is Jordin. I can think of at least 3 people who should go before her - Haley, Phil and Sanjaya. Kiki has the voice that makes me think she should stay, but I don't think her personality as clicked with people. Funny, the first night she sang - And I Am Telling You - I thought she would win or make top two. She really got lost in Melinda's shadow. I will be sad for her if she is the one who goes tonight, but I won't miss her all that much. Jordin, I think that would be a darn shame. The girl as a great voice, sweet, funny, charming, full of life, good attitude, current, and is a lot like what I picture the AI to be. I have wanted a Blake/Jordin final two since about top 20. I will have tissues handy. Also, if Dial Idol is right Haley and Phil are pretty far up from the bottom. I cannot get a handle on what people are voting for this year

| FC, has dialidol been accurate up until now? Because this seems really whacked. I just can't buy Jordin being that close to the bottom. Everyone I talk to thinks she's the total dark horse.
I do believe about Blake being at the top.

| April 11, 2007 - MANY people think "American Idol" lightning-rod Sanjaya Malakar should've been gone weeks ago. But don't tell that to the show's musical director, Ricky Minor.
"You know what? I think that he could win the show," Minor told The Post yesterday.
"He's gotten this far because he really is what he is - he's got this huge smile, he's a handsome guy and is really likable. "People are pulling for him - and people really care about him."
Malakar, the 17-year-old from Washington, has polarized "Idol" viewers with his affect, his strange hairdos (including his much-talked-about "fauxhawk") and his questionable singing talent.
"I can tell you he can sing," says Minor, now in his third season as "Idol" musical director. "I think there are people who are naysayers, but I've run into a lot of credible people who really enjoy his voice.
"He has a connection to the lyrics and people are pleasantly surprised.
"This isn't a singing competition alone. It's for a star to emerge," he says. "Sanjaya has a huge likability factor. I think it's possible for him to win based on the way he's moving through the competition.

| GE, DialIdol has not had the exact same bottom 3 but they did predict the right people going home so far of the top 12, even if one of the people in the bottom 3 on the show were not bottom 3 on DI. It had Gina going last week, Sligh the week before. It was right about Stephanie and Brandon. Just not who they were standing with. Though last week DI did have Haley in the bottom with Gina. DI had Phil higher up but the show had him bottom 3. DI has not been quite as accurate as last year. Texting is probably one reason. I think the tweenies are texting their fingers off for Sanjaya. Also there is another site that has been right the last 4 weeks and that guy is saying it is Kiki. So we will see. I don't think I can watch Sanjaya win | |

| Well I think it will be a shame if Lakisha goes before Haley. She has a beautiful voice but Lakisha's personality is just not coming through. I would love to know though why Lakisha and Melinda insist on dressing like my granny. They are young! Last night I only liked Blake . I thought the rest was forgettable. JLo surprised me thoug she was actually helpful. | |

She's big and she doesn't give a damn. She knows she's sexy and if you don't see it, there's something wrong with YOU. I can see Melinda, even more than Lakisha, is totally not like that. She needs an edge that she just doesn't have. Jordin is a tad overweight, but whether it's because of her age or that she also doesn't care, she dresses much younger and hipper
