| Thanks guys. It's another brutal one. I'm inside with air conditioning and still hot. I can't get cool until the sun goes down. Even then it's hot and humid.
Ahhh...frazz...thanks. So it was the fire. Goodness that stuff was nasty.

| I saw the news this morning and it looks like one area got a little better but another is still having big problems. I was stunned to hear how the fires are affecting temperatures out in the Cali area.
Continuing to think of you ladies who are out there. Stay safe. I'm a big California lover so I really hate to see this happening.

| Hope our Callie ladies are doing well! Check in and let us know OK! I took my son Eric to the neurologist today. He does not think Eric has RLS because he has more pain and discomfort rather than "restlessness". Eric says his legs and arms feel sore and fatigued most of the time, especially at night. He has been sleeping much better with the Ivory soap under his sheet - for whatever the heck reason So the doctor did a physical exam. Said Eric's BP and heart rate were rather low. He is not worried about the BP, but thinks the heart rate and the sore muscles could have a variety of reasons. So he sent us to the lab for blood work-up. He ordered a ton of tests. They took 6 vials of blood. They are testing for Lupus, thyroid issues, arthritis, myalgia, chronic fatigue, anemia, and other causes of inflammation. He is even going to check with the infectious decease specialist to see if the virus Eric had on New Year's Eve (when we had to take him to the ER) has caused some problems. So until we get a call back about the tests I am going to be a bit worried If any of you have had experience with any of the above conditions or know anybody with them maybe you could share the info with me. I've been reading some info on the internet. I'm thinking it isn't Lupus (not that I am a doctor or anything ) Send some good vibes, white lights, prayers or whatever you believe in our way that we get good news and it's nothing to be too worried about. | |

I do know there are types of Rhuematoid Arthritis that are "Reactive", meaning it's triggered from an infection. I have no idea if that even pertains to Eric's problems at all. I only know this because of my grandson's diagnosis. I will send vibes and prayers for a diagnosis that it isn't anything serious.

*Keeping fingers crossed it is nothing serious*

| No he really didn't say. He seemed a bit baffled because Eric's only real complaint or issue is the sore muscles and his body feeling fatigued. I think he is just trying to find the answer/cause. I think the tests are just as much to rule things out as to find out! So many different things cause the sore muscle symptoms. If it is none of those things than I am not sure what direction he will send us in | |

| You mentioned that Eric has been playing some sort of sports lately with some kids and you were wondering if the muscle fatique and pain could be related to some kind of injury. That would'nt show up in blood work.
Have you asked him if he seems to have more pain after excercise?

| He has been playing Hacky Sack - which only involves the legs, so that would not effect his arms. Also it has been going on since before he started playing. We did discuss it with the doctor (who was very familiar with the game) and he thought it was possible for the legs but said that it wouldn't explain the arms. Though I had told Eric that I think playing Hacky Sack has probably made the legs more fatigued. | |

| Hey Y'all . I've been going through kinda a rough time so I need all your prayers and good thoughts. Remember I had walking pneumonia? Well a couple of weeks after that my lymph glands under my arms swelled and were sore. So I go to the Dr. He immediately asks me if there is anyway I could have HIV. Well since I don't even drink soda much less anything worse than that I knew that was out. Then he tells me he is going to take blood and thinks I could have lymphoma. Well of course I go into panic mode. So he still subscribes antibotics and I have to waiy for the test results. So naturally I am upset and crying , nervous wreck waiting on this thinking I will never see my son grow up and see my potential grandkids. The blood work comes back normal. Thank God. But he still tells me if I do not get better I have to go get an X ray and biopsy. So here I am still with the nagging feeling something is wrong. I went to Texas with the hubby and got slowly better. But a little has come back in my neck . I am now on an anti imflammotory. I hope I get all the way better. This has ben a terribe nerve wracking experience for me. I don't know why he just couldn't say let's go on the antibotics and see if you get better not tell me the worst case scenario. Why do Dr's do that???!!Trust me If I did not have to I would never see a Dr. again | |

| Aerwin - I've been wondering about you. So sorry to hear you have not been feeling well I'll been praying for you and sending good vibes. Please keep us posted as to how you are doing. We will be here for you. Please try and stay positive. That is so important for good health. That is one thing I always felt hampered my Dad's recovery from the amputations and what I think led to the heart attacks. He was bitter, angry and had a very negative outlook on his life. I will always wonder how things would have gone for him if he had let go of the anger and tried to think positively about things and have more hope. Now, I am a bit confused - you say he thought you might have HIV, which is the Aids virus. I do not understand the soda/drinking connection to HIV Did you mean Hepatitis C or something like that? | |

| No he asked me if there was a possibilty I could have HIV . I meant I don't even drink soda or eat junk food much less have unprotected sex and use drugs. Never have. I am a health nut . I run 30 miles a week and am meticulous about what I eat and do. | |

| OK, I understand what you meant now. How scary to be asked that! I am sure that the fact that you take such good care of yourself will play a big part in you getting well soon! I wish I could say that I don't eat junk food and that I run I have a very tipped uterus that sits on my bladder and if I run I wet myself I use a treadmill, but not everyday as I should I really need to step up on taking care of myself. Funny, I am so good taking care of others - just not me | |

I most definitely have you in my thoughts and sending you a cyber hug. Wow, yeah, well, I wish I could say I run 30 miles a week and ate really healthy.

| Aerwin, I am sorry about your experience with the doctor. Some doctors, I think, get into this mode where they are busy solving problems, but they are not that tuned in to the feelings of the people who have those problems. Crossing my fingers that what you have turns out to be easily treatable.
The same thing goes for your son, Firecracker. I will say that the first time I read the symptoms I thought "Has he been working out too hard?" Maybe it will just be the result of strain and what he needs is rest. We can hope and pray.

| Thanks Abrahammy. So far all the test have been negative. He is sleeping a little better. Tomorrow morning he gets his impacted wisdom teeth pulled so after he recovers from that (about 5 to 7 days they say) I will see if the doctor thinks we need to do anything else at this point in time. | |

| Thanks y'all. I have just been really scared. I just wish he had said we are going to do some blood work and see what the results are instead of throwing the HIV and Lymphoma ,which is cancer to me. I am hoping and praying the gland sweeling goes all the way down , if not I have to have a biospy. But my blood work did come back normal. | |

| Thinking of you, aerwin, and hoping all goes well for you. I've had my share of doctor visits the last few years, and I can totally relate to what you are saying. Sometimes I actually say to them that they may be a bit overdoing it! I guess the nature of the business is so lawsuit oriented today that they are nervous all the time. A shame, because it affects us, as patients.
FC - hope things continue well for your son.
