It CAN be done. But sometimes it doesn't take. DO NOT get too close or it may start all over again. Then again, it may be just what is needed to end it for good.

The whole thing is just ridiculous.

And the trick to enjoying it is not to take it to heart, as if it were important or anything. Pass the popcorn. This still amuses me.

I did and I did. I can put up with some bad behaviors with amazing performers, but when the behavior is reprehensible and the talent slides downhill at the rate of a bowling ball in zero-gravity, well, let's just say the shine comes off real easy.

Now how old is JD about now...29-30? My question to all you been there done that laydees is...

How is it that Mr. Fortune looks better or just as good anyway than he did when he hit the spotlight on his reality show roller coaster ride and another certain someone that we don't name here has aged faster than Dorian Grey. Is it that one man hit the road to the top, while the other hit the one that goes the other direction????

Question Question Question Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this one! pirat

Maybe J.D drink less and smokes less pot?

Maybe it is genetics.

I find that when guys are in their early 20's, they look very young and boyish and cute, but when they hit their late 20's, early 30's, they look more like a "MAN" and it's very sexy to see them grow into that.

I think JD has that. Also, probably his confidence as a performer (and the people around him helping with his image - kinda like Elliot Yamin - don't hurt either!)

I'm thinking it's genetics, because from what I've heard and seen......he isn't a non-drinker and being Canadian, he does smoke pot, quite openly. Laughing

Sky beat me to it! JD drinks and smokes on stage all the time. Sex, he's pretty open about being active in that department. He has also been very open about his drug use.

He does however work out a lot and he is a vegetarian. If you saw the Pretty Vegas video you'd know the boy is ripped.

He has always been drop dead gorgeous. From little on up and he just gets better with age like a fine wine!

Funny this thread talks about GB and JD since JD was a HUGE part of the reason I lost that loving feeling for GB. JD is such a focused artist. He lives and breathes music. Playing guitar since a little boy and writing his own music for years. I admired that focus. He is an incredible stage performer/frontman who gives 120% even when really sick and with a broken leg in a cast from ankle to thigh. In every interview both on TV and radio he is very well spoken and comes across very intelligent, especially when you consider he did not go to college. In fact, I am not sure he finished HS. I have never once heard him be an ass. If there are any negative fan stories they were not shared when I was on JD boards. He just seems to be a truly nice guy from everything I've heard.

How did he break his leg? I've never seen him with a cast.

I still remember the Rockstar episode when his mom and sister showed up and he started crying. That was really sweet.

I have never thought he was a saint at all. But it doesn't bother me.

He broke his leg on stage if memory serves, during a show. You know how he is all over the place, up, down, climbing, in and out of crowd etc. I think Sky might remember the details more than I do. Our IDF thread had some pix of him performing in the cast. If I have time later maybe I will go hunting for it.

He didn't break his leg, but tore some ligaments in the knee area, he wore leg brace to prevent him from injuring it more. It didn't slow him down much, he was still running across the stage and climbing upon everything. He does appear to be a very caring person. While in NY, he once bought the time of one of the horse and carriages for the day, so the horse would not have to work! He has done some incredible nice things for people.

Yep, I remember all the straps around his leg. I thought something broke but I know you are way more up on JD than I have been lately. I do remember the horse carriage incident. Very sweet. I also remember how he called each fan that worked on that special quilt and thanked them personally over the phone. At least that is what I was told.

As being part of the special quilt making, I wish I had gotten a call. Sad Probably better that I didn't, as I was out of town the week he made the few calls that he did make. However, he only had time to make a handful of calls. It was still rewarding to have the opportunity to listen to his messages that a couple of the others recorded. We all felt rewarded somehow, that he could take the time to personally make a call to any us.

Well, I once personally made a call to Constantine to yell at him. And it WAS rewarding, just maybe not for him. Shocked
