| Thanks my llaydee! Yes, my company should arrive at the airport any minute! My hubby has the day off and is going to pick them up as we speak!
I am making my special lasagne with homemade pasta dough for dinner tonight...that is reserved for very special occasions only!
Hope your weather improves and you have a nice day tomorrow out with your mom!
I probably won't be able to stop in much from here on out until Monday, since my company is staying in the room that our computer is in and we have removed the chair.
Have a great weekend and i will talk to you soon!

| Well, the weathermen lied and we had a gloomy Saturday and a rainy Sunday. So no outside pix. I did take a couple of Philana in her new Mod Sugar Mag outfit and Didi in the pretty dress and choker from mEda! I also put her in a different wig. I think she looks amazing! Justin hung some cute little shelves in my office for my dolls. So I have two on each shelf and five on the table. It looks really nice! After Xmas I will put 3 on each shelf and 6 on the table. Unless I get another little shelve. Hubby bought them for me! Rob and I spent the day yesterday checking out lots of SUVs again. I fell completely in love with the Dodge Nitro RT in black with silver trim and two toned gray leather interior!! EEEK it is amazing!! We also really loved the Nissan Xterra. Sporty and really fun. We also liked the Torrent and the Equinox. So we are down to 4. We will take them for test drives next week and hopefully make a final decision. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm missing you Luca! ETA: With any luck this will be my ride in about a month! God she is beautiful!! You can watch a cool little video about the Nitro here! It has such fun features! http://www.dodge.com/en/2008/nitro/ | |

| My laydee! I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Whew, what a fun, action packed weekend I had! We had a really good time catching up with hubby's brother and wife. They are really great people. We mainly stuck around the house and my brother-in-law helped hubby do manly chores and fiddle around with the tractor and continue with the mice catching saga...yup, I think they finally figured out how they were getting in and we caught the last one! I hope! We did take them up to Roslyn Washington to see where the TV show Northern Exposure was filmed and went on a mountain hike at a state park up that way. It was a beautiful day and they seemed to really enjoy it! We cooked and ate lots of good food too! I need to get back to my normal eating routine now. Philana and Didi are just about the prettiest Pullips I have ever seen! That outfit Philana is wearing is incredible-did those hose come with it? Didi should never take that wig off, it looks that good on her! How fun you have dollie shelves now for displaying them! You must take a photo of that when you get it all set up. Well, I took a few shots of Prudence this weekend in her reconstructed dress, shoes, and with that hat I had from before... and my sister-in-law was kind of into it! She even helped me put her new lashes on! I am glad to have that overwith! Here are some so-so shots of her to check it out: I saw Didi's photoshoot with her new girl too! It looks like she is having lots of fun with her! Her stock really is to die for! Well, better get off to work! Will talk to you later from there! Oh, and love that Dodge vehicle! What kind of mileage does that bad boy get? | |

| YAY!!! Luca's back!!! I am so happy that you had such a fun time!! It all sounds heavenly! Your girl looks beautiful! You did a wonderful job with the dress. She looks so BIG I can't imagine how she looks in person. Do you know I actually had my eye on a used Angel of Dream Doll on ebay the other day. Only 3 bids and she ended up going for $174 WITH SHIPPING! I was sort of mad at myself for not going for it, but she wasn't one I was interested in, and even though the price was oh so good I think when/if I am ever ready to take the BJD plunge, I would rather pay more and get one that I think is really pretty. Also the seller never put up a good pic of her face, so I don't even know if she had face-up done or what color eyes she had. Yes, I am just nuts over Didi in that wig! Like I told Dymphna in PM, I don't think that wig is ever coming off of her! The Sugar Mag stuff is just so cute! I would love to get more someday. No, I got the pantyhose off of ebay awhile ago to go with some other pink outfits I have for the girls. With all the Barbie clothes in the stores - pantyhose are very hard to come by. They are never included in the Fashion Fever Closets. I had to go on ebay express the other day to order some more Ammonia Inhalants for my mom (don't ask) and as long as I was there I checked to see if that red and black mod outfit I wanted was still there. It was and only $10 with shipping so I just did it! I've wanted that for awhile (last time I saw it it was in the two pack deal and I didn't want the other set) and I knew it would continue to haunt me if I didn't just get it! This one will fit Nat and she looks so good in red. Yes, Lola's outfit is just adorable! I am so glad you like the Nitro. It is so sharp in person, especially the interior. I hope it all works out. The ones in the showroom are completely tripped out and we don't want to pay for features we don't care about. I will make some calls today. Sadly, we do have a price cutoff. It gets 24 MPG highway and 19 around town. It is WAY better than the conversion van that gets 9 MPG. But then, it is like driving your family room around Hey, we've had a blast in it. Some great trips. We'll miss it, but we do need to get better mileage than 9 MPG. At least gas prices have come down a lot here. Don't know for how long that will last though. I am pretty bummed today. I noticed a "blister" looking thing on my gum above one of my back molars. No pain, I googled "blisters on gums" pix came up that look exactly like it and it says it is an abscess looks like I will be heading to the dentist very soon. Damn. Like I want to spend money on a root canal right now Well, I need to run and get some things done today. TTYL and Welcome Back!!!! | |

| I guess I am on MiniKitty's poop list. I got the two adorable pair of socks, but no little freebie or cute little note like I always get I guess she noticed I only buy shoes and socks so I am not worthy of gifts and notes I called the dentist and they too think it is an abscess, which will just get worst, so I have to go Weds. morning. I hate to wait that long, but Tuesday I am way busy with little ones and Eric is taking my dad to the prosthetic leg place as they have his insert ready and want to try it on him, so Eric is not free to help out with the kiddies while I go to the dentist. I have to hope things don't go down hill fast and I end up in pain. Luca, do you know if there are any nice coffee table type books of BJDs? I was thinking it would be so nice to have a lovely book of all the really gorgeous and expensive dolls that I will never have . Oh well, back to getting some stuff done before the after schoolers get here! | |

| Oooh cool idea to have a book on BJD's to drool over! I will let you know if I hear of anything! How interesting you were closely watching the auction on the Angel of dream doll and it went for 175.00 including shipping! Was that a new one with just the face-up and eyes? I bet minikitty is just getting so big, she doe'nt need to give freebies anymore to keep people coming back! Hey, I spent over 50.00 with mEda and she did'nt give me a free gift either so I guess you just never know what inspires them to give something extra or not! I sure hope it turns out you don't have an abscess...that would not be good at all! Have you had that happen before? So that red and black mod outfit is the one you almost bought on Ebay, but passed on because they wanted too much for it? | |

| Yep, that is the outfit. It has a black and white striped turtle neck. Yes, I had an abscess once before and had to have a root canal yuck. The Angel Of Dream doll was not brand new. The seller had her for two months. Said she was in mint condition, just that she needed to sell her for money. She put up two Polaroid pix from a distance. She had a long black wig and would come with the wig and bathing suit. I never wrote to her to ask for better pix or info because I knew she wasn't one of the girls I really liked and figured I would just wait until the day I can pick exactly which one I want. I think mEda sent the free choker to me because I spent about $70 all together plus I told her I mentioned to you that she might do customs for your boys. So maybe it was a referral gift Plus it was probably just so easy for her to make one to match the dress. There is not much to them, though it does really make the dress look nicer! BTW, I will try to find a pic of the AOD doll she was selling. Like I said, I do not know if it had the make-up done. You couldn't tell from the pic. The wig did not appear to be the best option for the girl's face. | |

| OK, it was this girl, but with a pretty ugly black wig (the bangs were super short) and she had either brown or red eyes. I wish I had saved the pic to show you. When I first saw the action it was at $150 with one bid. I really thought it would go higher, but only three bids. Someone bid $165 about a day before it was over and then no more bidding. The seller only wanted $10 shipping. Maybe if there had been some really nice close-up pix bidding would have gone better. I kept thinking if she was that nice why didn't the seller have close-ups? Maybe she just didin't have a good camera. All I know is if she really was only two months old then the seller lost money on the deal. But I guess if you really need money something is better than nothing. Maybe in person this doll is nice, but I just don't find her all that interesting. Here is the outfit. I've had my eye on it for awhile now. At first only a seller in Aussie had it.

| Yes, I see what you mean about that one not being all that interesting. There is something flat about her, perhaps the thinner lips. Her eyes look bigger than mine which is good, but I don't like her eyebrows. I like how mine has high arched glamorous brows...she will make a very good Queen Elizabeth type gal sometime don't you think? ( ala:Cate Blanchet!) Many of the AOD dolls definitely have an oriental look, I am surprized mine does'nt looks as asian as I thought she would with her face-up, wig, and blueish/violet eyes. I do intend to get a boy sometime if I run accross the right deal and the right doll. You are smart to hold out for one that is really special to you. I will tell you this though, for the price the AOD doll's are very nice. They have great bodies. Some collectors buy their bodies and put different more expensive heads on them. Eeek! I won the little suitcase rement set for Italy! I got the whole deal for 13.00 including shipping! I am so doll obsessed I know I will be much happier taking a doll with me to look at and enjoy while I am away from home. Yes, I admit I am obsessed! | |

| Yes, when I get a BJD I don't want any regrets. I want to love her/him very much. They are far to costly to not be completely pleased. I would rather pay the $75 extra for one that I will be jumping for joy over. I actually really like that one very Asian looking boy. I will bring his pic here. I know I won't get him, but if they were cheaper and I could have several of them, I would get him. Yours is so very much prettier than that girl. Not to be mean to anyone who has her and loves her. Everyone has different taste. I am so glad you got the suitcase rement! What an adorable photoshoot that will be!! I couldn't even imagine you going to Italy without one of your girls. So how many more weeks until you go? Here is the Asian boy I really find interesting. | |

| I found a way to participate in the dolls conversation! I can show you a couple of little ladies who are not with me now... but they were. My mom and dad used to buy me Madame Alexander dolls when I was little. They are discontinued now, but I treasured them. Mom thinks she's got them in a storage shed. I should retrieve them and pass them along... another generation to love them... Here is Meg. There's Amy. Beloved Marmee.... And pretty in pink, here is Beth. She was my favorite. These photos are actually off the net, but they are definitely the same line of dolls. Oddly enough, I don't think I ever owned Jo. | |

| Oh, cool Abrahammy! They are wonderful! You know, some of them go for good money on ebay. Luca, didn't you sell one of these on ebay? Or was that a different doll?
When I was little I had mostly Barbie and her friends, and of course baby dolls. I hope your mom finds them and you can pass them on to your daughter. I still have one baby doll from when I was very little. I have her dressed in real baby clothes and she sits in a little rocking chair my dad made for me. I keep it in the upstairs hallway outside the master bedroom. I never had a daughter to pass it on it, but maybe someday I will have a granddaughter to give her to!

| Hey Abrahammy! I also have Meg, and Beth Madame Alexander Little women dolls too! I also have Little Bo Peep! They were all gently played with and unfortunately not worth much unless they are mint in brand new condition. And then they would only bring 50.00, maybe. It is best to hold onto them for the memories to pass down to your little girl. I recently sold a MA Jenny Lind doll and I got 75.00 for it on Ebay. She was in near mint condition and one of the rarer ones. I needed to sell her to get some cash for more of my doll spending jones... FC I also think that Asian boy is beautiful. He just does'nt look quite old enough to be a match for Prudence. Pity. | |

| This is the boy I would get. I think he is beautiful and has a lot of personality. I would get that wig too. He reminds me of my Eric with it. Eric used to have hair like that when he was younger and Eric has very blue eyes too. Of course I don't know that I would be able to get blue eyes since they all say "random eyes". I wonder if they ever let you pick? I mean if you email them when you order. | |

If I find some more pictures of some of them that people post on Den of Angels of AOD dolls they get I will bring them here. Some of the gals have said they have ordered a few of the boys lately. It will be interesting to see what eyes and face-ups they come with.

Can y'all help me? I was helping my Mum clean out the attic and found my old Malibu Barbie and my Cher doll I had as a teenager. They are both in good cond. with clothes and shoes BUT their hair is very matted. Is there anything I can do? Of course I want to keep them.
Help?! | |

| Wow, cool that you found them! I am not an expert on doll hair. If I don't like the hair they come with I get them a wig I guess you could try washing their hair with a good shampoo and putting conditioner on. Maybe a good detangler. For conditioner I use Mane and Tail. That stuff really makes hair soft and easy to comb. Good luck!! Your son is obviously gorgeous!! | |

| Wow, it is such a cool awesome day in Clay fandom today that I haven't really spent any time in doll land today! Luca, stop me!! The seller that I bought my nude J-Doll is selling her stock outfit now $38 shipped. I know that I should NOT do it, but I so want to That would make her $88 which is what it would have cost me to get her in stock from VOTD. I've been strong for hours now. I feel like I need a "sponsor" to call when I feel I will fall "off the wagon" BTW, my dad got his left leg insert today and he will get his left leg next Tues. They think it will be about a month for the right leg. They will be sending PTs to my dad's house after he has the legs to show him the best way to walk with them and not hurt his back. I can't believe he is getting them so fast! A couple we are friends with in the neighborhood, I have watched their kids and he is the village mayor, have friends that live in a nearby town who were in a horrible motorcycle accident last year. The husband lost one leg and the wife lost one leg (above the knee) and her right arm. They have finally gotten better and used to their new limbs. They are going to go to my folks house next week and talk to my dad and show him how they do things with their new limbs. Isn't that cool?! | |

Step away from the computer my laydee...remember the whole purpose of buying the doll nude was to save money! Hold out for buying the stock used for less money, you will be glad you did!

| Good morning!
Yes, I stayed strong all night and didn't buy it. Sometimes it is just an impulse thing. I don't know that I would ever find it used. There is so little anything J-Doll out there.
Yes, I am amazed about the legs, but the doc told my dad that now so much is done by computer that would used to take 3 days now takes 30 mins. I guess this has to do with the measurements and shaping etc.
They are waiting to start the right leg because my dad's right stump has not quite finished shrinking.
Well, today is off to the dentist day to see what is going on with the abscess. Wish me luck! (I am so afraid of what he might say)
Have a beautiful day!! | |
