| FC! You are too funny. I did not 'kiss' his megaphone or the mic stand, but I did fondle the megaphone and mic stand! Fibber's is a great pub. They have great food, great atmosphere and the staff is very friendly! Too bad JD couldn't have been there when all of us were there! We're hoping he has gotten a chance to see his scrapbooks as he was in Nova Scotia and at Fibber's last night, according to the site. | |

- One Last Ruben Studdard Reference Wafts Gently Into The Cool Evening Air
ST. PAUL, MN—Spoken in a hushed and honeyed tone, the name of American Idol 2 winner Ruben Studdard spilled forth from the lips of a local resident yesterday, and, briefly hanging sea and sky between, escaped suddenly into the eternal chill of the crisp autumn air.
According to those present, gone, gone is the reference to the rotund songsmith, passing unencumbered through the shared human consciousness and disappearing into the ether, yet another name now lost to the ages, silently fading into shadows numberless, suckled by the night sky.
And lo, eyewitnesses report, the reference has taken its place in the heavens, sealed forever in memory forgotten, never to be heard again.

| Gee, it makes it seem like the guy's dead. Send it to Simon Cowell.
Then mention that Clay will be singing on television on Christmas Day before he starts his time as one of the stars of a Tony-Award winning Broadway play.
I'm STILL annoyed with him. That's got to be the worst guess he's ever made.
In other news, I will not be going to Bend tonight. We've just got too much going on in our house right now and it's not convenient.

| Still, it is wonderful when Simon is so off the mark. He has actually admitted he was wrong a couple of times, but he really continues to not like Clay and make fun of him.
Simon backed Ruben AND Carmen Rasmussen. So, he's nowhere near perfect. He likes people to forget his glaring errors.
I'm sure Clay is laughing all the way to the bank.

| I didn't like it....................
He doesn't look at all comfortable and looks awkward when standing there singing, really stiff looking. Too much hair on the face and head! It's also not my kind of song and that could have swayed my decision.

| I love most of the songs on Elliott's CD BUT that one! Hate the whole beginning of it. I also hate the way Elliott stands and performs, thus one reason I was not a fan of his when he was on AI. I liked his voice a lot, but didn't enjoy watching him. Yet when I heard the CD on the internet I had to get it. There are 5 songs that I play repeatedly - they are that good IMHO. I think he looks kinda cute, but I didn't think the girl went with him at all and honestly I did not watch the whole video because I cannot bring myself to listen to the song or watch the "awkwardness" of his performance. He really needs someone to help with that. | |

McPhee, 23, and Cokas, 42 met on the set of a Los Angeles theater production of "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" in 2005. The two have been dating for more than a year.

McPhee is currently filming a new comedy titled "I Know What Boys Like." Her debut CD was released earlier this year.

| The last time I saw Elliott on Tv, he looked better than he does in this video. I also thought the girl did not fit in that role....at all. She's beautiful but not for this video. I wonder why no one close to him has suggested he get some coaching for being more relaxed or teaching him some moves. I didn't like him on AI and maybe it was because he doesn't have any stage presence. | |

| Aaaah....I have an anecdote to share about that, actually. After all my hemming and hawing and nay-saying and silliness, I DID, at the last minute, decide to go to Bend this evening. (Something about my conversation with my sister-in-law made me wanna get out of the house and do something fun.) I can't remember the conversation onstage verbatim, but the gist of it was something like this: Constantine: This is a nice, inimate venue. This afternooon we were playing... Jim: We were playing in a shoe store. Constantine: YOU were playing in the shoe department, I was like, more in the women's lingerie... they had stuff there - I think it was a girdle.. it was a total Spinal Tap moment Jim: It was total Spinal Tap. I felt like we hit that moment where the manager says "I TOLD them to put your name ABOVE the PUPPET SHOW!" (Wild laughter and cheers from the audience.) Constantine: Hey, we go where the money is. So in this particular case, the ability to laugh at oneself was very much in evidence... maybe Jim brings it out of him. And in another bit of stage banter, Constantine is talking about being in Cleveland this morning, and then realizes that his audience knows he was there and what happened there. He turns to Jim and says, "You know what this means? This morning is already on Youtube!" They had a wonderful time and it was kind of a good show - some great singing coupled with some silliness and a couple of silly things they tried just because the audience asked for them... he did part of Nights on Broadway, even though it was evident Jim was playfully faking it. Jim had his own little set, too. I think, after all this, if Boggia ever comes back by himself I'd be willing to go see that, too. He really is a LOT of fun. Edited because... I found out what the Ruben Studdard piece was about. It's from The Onion. Satire. | |

| I'm glad you went and had a good time Abrahammy!! I'm glad Con could find the humor in that sad situation. Honestly, if there was a You Tube of Clay singing among the coat racks at some department store while people were shopping I would be beside myself To go from singing in front of thousands of people on the AI tour to Steinmart must have been some reality check for him. I do give him credit for singing his heart out as if it were a big show. | |

I still don't get what the deal is about singing at Stein Mart. I mean does the store do it to just get ppl in there?

The blog is both hysterical and sad at the same time considering I was almost at the level of the poor 40 something woman at one point, although I drew the line at waiting in line to meet him, I considered that way too embarrassing and potentially humiliating even way back when... Hey, but I will admit they sounded pretty good, but whatever magical, mystical love potion he exuded across the airwaves back in his AI days has completely worn off for me now. I can honestly say I find very little physically attractive about him-and it has nothing to do with his personality or lack of. At least he looked semi-groomed for this performance though-The jacket seemed a tad small, but it is better than a t-shirt and ragged jeans for sure.

| Hey Luca!! Well, sadly his devoted fans did him no favors putting those vids on You Tube. They just ended up on gossip sites where they made a lot of fun of him. I know they meant well and wanted to share with their fellow fans, but man he is getting quite the ribbing for that appearance. I know money is money, but maybe it would have been best to turn that gig down. | |

| I absolutely agree that it would have been much better if that particular gig had not ended up on Youtube. In fact, the banter between Jim and Constantine at Bend made me VERY clear on these points:
1. They were embarrassed by the Stein Mart venue. 2. They are aware that things aren't going all that well at the moment. 3. They are a little stunned and shocked at how fast something this humiliating was made a matter of public record.
I do not know enough about Constantine's bank account to know if Stein Mart was a bad idea or not, but it was VERY clear that he and Jim "Go where the money is." Actually, that really was a good-natured, entertaining, funny conversation.... but they know the Stein Mart thing sucked.
Bend was much better. It was a tiny venue, but completely professional and respectable, and everybody who was there wanted to be there except for maybe those two kind of bewildered looking redneck husbands...
I had a good time. Which is why I still do this. However, it is getting to the point where every time I see him perform, I wonder if it will be the last time - how long before he has to get a real estate license, or something.

| Hey, you can make a lot of money in real estate!! One of the really huge and gorgeous homes in our neighborhood is owned by a couple in real estate! Maybe he could find a way to perform and sing while showing houses! The Singing Agent!
But seriously, I am a bit surprised the gals who put the vids on You Tube didn't realize that Con may have preferred this gig stay on the down low. Oh well, they will know better next time.

If he did, he is very unrealistic. Afterall, if he is still trying to pimp his CD then the more people that he can reach at Stein Mart or on Youtube or whereev to move them, that is better than no marketing opportunity at all. If he is embarrassed to play at Stein Mart, then he needs to toughen up. I think his only salvation is to keep a sense of humor about it and do the best performance he can-which he seems to be doing. What ever happenned with the Debbie Gibson hook-up? Is the Stein Mart gig the best she could help get him after their encounter?
