| Man, I am so upset about that poor filly in the Kentucky Derby What a heartbreaking thing to have happen. I may not be around tomorrow. I just got a call from my mom that my dad has had a very bad day and really taken a turn for the worse. Rob, Eric and I are going to head over there late morning (if we are not called to get there sooner) Justin will go after work. I think it will be pretty soon. Good thing come Monday night she will have around the clock Hospice for a few days. My tummy is all knotted up now. She said he asked her to forgive him but he wants to give up and die. She said he was asking Jesus to take him She gave him some morphine and hopefully he will get a peaceful night sleep. I just don't think he has the will to live anymore. Somehow he has been hanging in there, but I think he really wants it all to end soon. It's upsetting because he and I had a nice little time together the other day. He seemed a wee bit better - well you know, as better as he can be. So I will try to touch base with you in the morning if all goes well through the night. Sleep good | |

| I am so sorry my friend. I am so glad you got to be there today. He fought until he could'nt anymore.
How beautiful you got to say everything you ever wanted to and that you will have a nice memory of one of your last visits together.
You all have been through so much. I know you will find solace in the love of your family, but please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

| Yes, I was so lucky that we had so much more time together than the docs thought we would. He was definitely ready to go. He asked my mom to forgive him yesterday morning but that he just couldn't fight anymore. I am grateful it happened as it did. He didn't die alone in the dark of night while we were all sleeping. It was a perfect and gorgeous day yesterday - 65 and sunny. Beautiful sunshine coming in through the windows. We all got to talk to him for a little while before he pretty much didn't seem to know where he was. He kept asking me for his new phone number and telling me he needed copies. Always the business executive! Then he simply stopped breathing. No gasping for air. Just stopped breathing. I didn't sleep well and my heart is truly broken. I don't have a Dad anymore But I am being as strong as I can. We have to meet with the funeral director this afternoon. I need to hold it all together. Well, Milo is in Illinois! About 90 mins. away. I hate the timing though. I am just having a hard time getting excited you know. If only it had been last Tuesday or nest Tuesday. I'm just so bummed right now. Well, have a great day and I will talk to you later! | |

| ((((((FC)))))) Just do what you have to my friend. It is a loss you can never be prepared to accept and you have every right and need to grieve. The timing of getting Meigi is unfortunate and I am sorry about that. But, maybe getting him will distract you a few moments from your pain, and give you something pleasant to look at. I know the doll hobby has helped get you through the hard months leading up to yesterday, maybe Milo will be able to help you when you need a diversion from RL stuff-when you are ready of course. Do you think the funeral will be in the next few days or the weekend? | |

| There is not going to be a funeral.
My father wanted to be cremated and have a memorial service at his church with Father Carl performing the mass. He had been close with Father Carl. Father Carl visited my Dad at the hospital, rehab and home. Father Carl was with us yesterday, but he leaves for a sabbatical today. Again good timing for my dad since he would be thrilled he was with us yesterday. Father Carl will be returning on May 26th so we are having the memorial service the first week of June. Th urns will be on the alter along with pix and flowers etc. It will be a full Catholic mass with readings etc. followed by a luncheon at my folks fave restaurant in their little town.
My mom will keep the ashes at home (I have a small matching urn) and then when she passes away she will be cremated also. Their urns will be placed in a beautiful mausoleum at the veterans cemetery. They are entitled to that for free since Dad was a war vet. I have already gotten all the info from the VA.
So today's meeting with the funeral director is to just go over everything we want at the church memorial plus giving them all the info for the obit and SS, pensions etc. They are going to make all the calls for us and get all the death certificates etc. so that we do not have to do much.
We will go to the church and pick out holy cards and songs, etc. later in the week.
Due to my Dad's overwhelming hospital and rehab bills there really is only $3000 put aside for the service. He told us not to go over the $3000 as there is not that much of a life insurance policy for my mom. Too many health issues to afford a good policy once he retired.
But it will be lovely and I have a few weeks to gather everything I would like to have there.
Yes, Milo will be a distraction and hopefully come tomorrow I will have some energy that I just don't have right now.
I am listening to Clay's new CD on-line at AOL and it is also helping. My Dad would have really loved some of these songs! He just loved Clay's voice.

Gah...I am so impressed with what a smart and prudent money manager and businessman your Dad was...right until the end. He was really an incredible person, and I did'nt even know him. If I did, I'm sure I could site so many more examples of how special he was. The service you all have planned sounds just lovely and exactly what he wanted. How special Father Carl will be doing it. Are you ok with waiting that long to have closure though? Or will that be good to give you more time to regroup and rest up? Hope you got some rest today, but I know that probably isn't possible. Tomorrow is a new day my lady...and your new boy may be arriving. Maybe if you don't feel up to it, maybe you should just put him away until you feel better and not open him just now. Will check in tomorrow! I have another early day tomorrow...

| Thank you! Yes, he was incredible! I couldn't have asked for a better Dad! I miss him terribly already Milo is "Out for Delivery"!! Wait to open him? No, I will rip that box open so fast your head will spin! BUT, could I call you tomorrow night instead? I know it sounds stupid, but I really want to vote for DC the full two hours tonight! I can't lose my DC and my Dad in the same week I get most of my votes in in the second hour - from 9:00 to 10:00. I could call at 10:00 - but that is AI for you. If I call you tomorrow at 9:00 that would be right after the results show and then I can either celebrate DC getting into the Top 3 or cry on your ear Let me know. Clay's new CD should arrive today too. I was going to take it to my folks tomorrow so Dad could listen while Mom and I were out on our girlie day. I feel so sad that that all changed. Mom is still going out to lunch with MIL today - and it is a gorgeous day! Sunny and 80! So that is nice for her. Instead tomorrow she is going to get her hair done (since she couldn't yesterday) and since it is suppose to be stormy tomorrow we are going to have our day out Friday - when it is predicted to be a beautiful day. Besides, we have to go pick out the flowers Friday for the memorial and return the book of poems. We are still reading them over and trying to decide which one we want. Then I will take her shopping for the rest of the day. I will write again when Milo gets here - should be 1:30ish! Have a great day! | |

| I am counting the hours! He should be here in 3 hours!! Great, I will call you tomorrow at 9:00 our time. Sometime my mom calls after AI - so it could be a few mins. later. Usually she just calls to see if I am happy with who went home. She knows I will be overjoyed if it is Syesha and she will want to console me if it is DC. But we only talk a couple of mins. because she has to watch Frazer reruns Talk to you later! | |

| HE IS HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so freaking in love with him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He came nekkie so I needed to dress him. Then I hated the fur wig and had to get out the blond wig I got him. It is PERFECT!! He has dark brown eyes like in the pix at Featherfall - which is what I was hoping for since I purchased 3 wigs based on that color His quality is amazing! But you know that. I LOVE his smell! My girls didn't have a smell so it must be the resin. I love his clothes and everything about him! I was actually in tears after I had him all dressed! Then I had to show the daycare kids and they were in awe of him! Then my mom called to tell me some things about the memorial luncheon etc. So I only had time for a couple of shots since I have 6 little ones here. I will take more tomorrow. Here is his precious face!!!! Just GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do you think? Is it crazy that I just want to kiss him??!! | |

That wig looks perfect on him too! Where did you get the little hat? I don't remember that one on the list of items....did that come with him? How do you like his outfit? And how do his girlfriends like him?

| Yes, he is freaking adorable!! He did come with the hat. There were no pix of Meigi-2 wearing a hat in any of the promo pix, but he did come with it. The stock is awesome! His shoes are camouflage keds. So cute. He has the little bag. He has a great stance and I love how easily he sits and folds his legs. Much easier than the girls do. The girls have been checking him out. Ianna and Rylee are a little shy. Shyla of course will be the one to make the first move on him. But she is an older woman I can see him falling for the gorgeous blonde!! | |

| So we are about 3 hours different in time...what time are you going to call tomorrow your time again? I want to make sure I will be home from work! It was 5:45 tonight when I asked you what time it was for you...I won't be home until about then tomorrow, then have to take the dog for a walk, and cook and eat dinner. So about 9:30 your time would probably work. Maybe we should wait until Saturday if that is not going to work for you. | |

| Well, tomorrow night AI gets off at 9:00 my time so that would be 6:00 your time. We can either talk then or wait until Saturday. I will be out all day with mom on Friday and I plan to be home doing housework (yuck) on Saturday as I will be busy with Mother's Day stuff on Sunday. So Saturday would be good since I would love a break from housework! I am getting sick too. I have a really sore throat and running nose Has to be from hanging with sick kids all the time in the daycare So I may feel a little off tomorrow. Hey, when I call we can duke it out over Syesha!! KIDDING! | |

Well, it is on it's way to one in the morning here so I best get my sorry ass too bed. I just haven't been sleeping well and I am putting off turning off the lights and laying down. I just keep reliving Sunday if I am not talking to people or involved with something. Watching someone you love die is just the most horrible thing ever I feel like I will never get the image out of my head. It is just always there. I miss him something awful and it has only been two days Good night! Talk to you tomorrow.

| Yes, I can imagine how that image would be in instant replay mode now since it is so fresh. Just think that you would be equally as distraught or even more so if you had'nt made it there in time. It did sound like his passing was fairly peaceful in the final moments.
Well, better head to the hospital...
Yes, we will have to decide on the right time! I think we may go to a nursery to get some plants in the morning...maybe early evening after you eat dinner?

Yes, it is still too fresh in my mind. It still won't go away.

| Sure! Let me know Friday or Saturday morning. I will be gone all day Friday from about 10:00 AM until evening. Dad is home Mom has the urns. It is so strange to think that that is all that is left of my father. Sorry I didn't get around to taking any pix today. I was ordering a flag frame for the flag we are getting from the VA. Also had to order the plate for the large urn. Got started on letting SS and the life insurance companies to get things in order. Plus I feel like crap with this cold. Hopefully I will have more energy soon. | |

| ooo too bad you are going to be out most of Friday...Saturday is not looking good for the times you mentioned now since I confirmed some riding plans today and I will be gone until about 6:00 or so Saturday evening, then have to feed the critters and myself, so would need an hour or so after that which would be like 10:00-10:30 your time if you called at say 7:30 my time. If that does'nt work maybe Sunday? Glad your Dad is home again...even in spirit only. No problem about no new photos! I felt lucky that you took the others so quickly! I am dying to see him in the other wigs you got him though. | |

| Hi! 10:00 PM Saturday is fine with me. 10:30 would be a little late. Sunday we have Mother's Day plans. I could probably call you at 9:00 PM our time on Sunday night or 9:30 PM. Let me know about that. I have my urn. It is in my office next to the photo frame that has so many pix of happy times with my Dad. I find the little urn extremely comforting. So does my mom. She has her urn in the den where she watches TV. She put a couple of little items of his next to the urn. I think I should have some time for photos next week. Obviously the next 3 days are too busy. I think once I have all the arrangements for the memorial and luncheon made and have all the calls made to SS, Insurance companies and the pensions and get all the paperwork done then I should have some time to do something fun. Marissa came today after school and it was her first time seeing Milo. She was in awe! She loved his details. I also look forward to seeing Milo in other wigs. Hey, do you ever check out Dymphna's Flickr photos? Wow she takes a ton and some super cute ones! There is one where some of her Blythes have put her Timulus in a hamster cage! She is very creative. | |
