| Yes, they look adorable together, but did Carrie get her hair cut or has she been wearing extensions for all these awards show appearances and her videos? Personally, I like her hair better shorter. It looks great in those photos! | |

| Yes, That is Carrie without extensions. I love Romowood! If he has to have a girl I am so glad it is the beautiful Miss Carrie. I like her natural hair too FC! She said she only wears extensions for appearances. | |

| OK, Taylor Hicks was on Good Day L.A. this morning.
First the good stuff:
He looks good and he's slimmed down considerably.
Now: I. WANT. TO. TAKE. THAT. DAMN. HARMONICA. AND. THROW. IT. ON. THE. GROUND. AND. DRIVE. A. STEAMROLLER. OVER. IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What the hell with the harmonica wubbie? When they show him in the green room before he goes on, instead of talking and saying hi, he plays the harmonica like "hi".
Then the interview where he plays it in the middle and at the end. I HATE THE HARMONICA!!! I don't like the sound of it. It's grating and annoying. Maybe with a whole blues band backing you it's OK. Maybe if you're at a music venue where they mic it just right, it's OK, but not when you're alone in an interview!!!!!
OK. I think I've calmed down now.

| Well, I LOVE the blues harp! I love when he (or any musician) whips it out and wails on it DURING a song. If he was playing it during interviews etc, then that is annoying. He does look good in the lastest photos I have seen of him! | |

| Yeah, when you're a musician playing onstage, that's one thing, but when people are talking to you and you're playing a harmonica, that's just so annoying.
I guess it's worse with him (for me) since it seems more like an affectation. The faces he makes and the contortions when he plays it, brings me back to quirky weird Taylor. Some of that quirkiness is fun, but too much and it's really distracting, like someone with hyperactive activity disorder. Like someone who can't sit still when you talk to them and focus on what you're saying. When that quirk makes noise, it's even more annoying to me.

| There have been times I have wondered if Taylor does suffer from some type of disorder. I don't know what, but there are times when he seems off or almost childlike. Then there are times when he seems very normal, mature and intelligent. Maybe it's drugs | |

| Yeah, he does seem to have something going on. I never feel like he's truly in the room when people are talking to him. He seems to be off in his own little world. | |

| Something is off with Tay and TPTB on AI. Daughtry is confirmed for the finale to sing Home and the producers said they didn't know if Taylor would be there or not. (I read this on another forum from a reliable source) Now, I know the part about Chris is true but is Taylor really not even going to be on the finale? I hope selfishly Carrie gets to come back to so I can see Tony in the audience. HA! Taylor acts so disengaged from AI. I know they really didn't do him right though. Chris has a lot of TV appearances coming up in May on Ellen, Letterman, The View and something else. | |

| It appears that Chris is the poster boy. He is WAY more successful than Taylor, and since they keep stressing this is a "singing competition" (said with an English accent) and how ANGRY Simon gets when someone DARES to say that at this point it doesn't really matter if you win (uh, FC, I think you would argue since SEASON TWO this has been true) but the winner isn't exactly the "winner".
I mean, what, Kelly and Carrie are the only "winners" you can really call mega-successful in terms of the music business.
I mean, Ruben who? Fan-tay-see-a is semi-successful. Taylor has sold the least albums of any of the winners.
Jennifer Hudson: Academy Award. Yeah, I'd say that's doing a little better than Fanty, wouldn't you?
Hell, if Ace puts out an album, he'd probably do better than Taylor. I saw him in person and that boy has presence!

| I have NO idea if this is true. I hope not, but I did read a few places that Old Man Clive was not happy about Kelly's self penned tunes. - Quote :
- CLARKSON SCRAPS NEW ALBUM?
Pop star KELLY CLARKSON has reportedly scrapped her new album after label bosses weren't impressed with the record. The 25-year-old singer suffered a scathing attack from Sony BMG chief Clive Davis after he heard the new tracks, reports British newspaper the Daily Star. A source at the record company tells the paper, "It was an extraordinary presentation. Clive was absolutely merciless in his criticism of Kelly. "She's one of the biggest priorities on the label and her new songs were savaged." The American Idol winner has been working on the follow up to 2005s best selling album Breakaway for 18 months, but has reportedly gone back to the studio to work on new tracks.

| Bringing over some CD sales info I found! - Quote :
- Katharine's album sales for the week ending 29 April 2007:
136. Katharine McPhee, Katharine McPhee: 5,644 (311,122)
"Over It" is on its way down the charts without having cracked the top-20 on the top-40 format. According to AllAccess, "Love Story" will be her 2nd single, impacting 22 May. I don't know how much support it will get, especially since RCA tried so hard (and in vain) to push "Over It" up the charts. I think "Love Story" would have made for a better lead single than "Over It," but at this point, Katharine is fortunate that she is even getting a 2nd single. Perhaps her radio show gigs will help pull in some early support for "Love Story," though. - Quote :
- According to Country Aircheck, Kellie has signed with Fitzgerald Hartley for management. She was previously managed by Hoffman Entertainment. Fitzgerald Hartley counts Brad Paisley (for whom Kellie is now opening on tour), LeAnn Rimes and Vince Gill among the artists it represents.
Kellie's album sales for the week ending 29 April 2007:
114: Kellie Pickler, Small Town Girl: 6,447 (511,914)
Oddly enough, "I Wonder" is currently bulletless in the #22 spot on the Mediabase Country chart. Its spin loss is just -3, however, so it could definitely recover its bullet. I think her vocals on the song are mediocre, but I would still be pretty shocked if this song didn't outperform "Red High Heels" on the format. Then again, it's really hard for female artists to get any kind of traction on country radio. Will be interesting to see if BNA puts some muscle behind this song. The BMG Nashville roster actually has a lighter presence now than usual with Kenny Chesney and Carrie winding down their respective album cycles, so I don't see why their promo people wouldn't get behind Kellie's song a bit more.

| Don't like McPhee; don't like Pickler. Don't get it, especially Kellie.
Actually the only one I could stomach last season was Elliott. And I really liked him a lot. Chris was just ai-right for me. Wanted to see some joy in his face when he was performing and I didn't. Maybe I'll see it when he's on AI soon. Elliott always had that joy.

(kidding SB! Someone at The Clack House said it and I thought it was funny!) If people bothered to listen to Daughtry's whole album there are only 2 songs on the whole cd with any similarity to Nickelback. I like Nickelback..saw them live and they won me over. I really don't get the hate for NB. Obviously, not everyone feels that way since they are 6x platinum on their latest CD. Chris actually wrote the songs and has a much better voice than Chad. The CDs are night and day. I know you were joking but it is really naive for people to compare the two because their music is way different. I have seen them both in concert and Chris has a much much different style then NB. I don't mean that toward you in particular FC, but it bugs me that people think they are know it alls and they don't even listen to the music. The Chris on AI and the Chris on the CD... are totally different. So do I find it funny? Um..no..sorry! For the record FC, I love you and I know you meant no harm! You are my girl! I have just really lost my sense of humor about the Chris/NB stuff!

| SB, I just repeated it because it came across funny to me the way she said it. I hate to admit this but I wouldn't know Nickleback if they bit me in the ass I don't know any of their songs but the one GB sang and I didn't know that until he sang it! I really don't know that much about a lot of the newer rock bands out there. I am pathetic!! I am a pop music fan mostly. Besides, frankly I pretty much like Chris D. I still am considering getting their CD. | |

American Idol Ratings Continue to Dip: Latest Elimination Odds American Idol had its worst ratings in two years this past week. With only 6 Idols left, AI is probably already looking towards next season and what can be done to produce a more interesting group of talent that mimics last season's group.
And ratings have been down despite some notable enticements to watch the show (Annabella Barba's scandalous Internet photos and the whole Sanjaya Malakar hoopla).
In the end, this is a talent contest and America has demonstrated this by eventually getting rid of Malakar (and in the case of sexy Barba, they pulled the plug even earlier).
The good news is that 17 year old Jordin Sparks has emerged as a legitimate contender for the American Idol title with season long favorite Melinda Doolittle. The only other original Idol left in the competition outside of these two is Blake Lewis, but he never seems to have the "Wow" factor we looked forward to with Chris Daughtry week after week last year.
