FWIW, there are some posters here who traveled to see GB and they seem just fine. I don't think there is anything wrong doing it once in awhile and if you can afford to do it. Many Clayfans travel to see him in concert (many have to as he doesn't hit whole sections of the country - like he is coming near me this time) and they meet up with friends, eat at nice places, site-see. I say if you can afford it and everything is fine at home, and your kids will be in good hands, do it. Now I don't mean follow him all over and go to tons of concerts (though it's not against the law and the Deadheads to it) but I don't think it's a big deal under the right circumstances to do it once in awhile.

I do agree if a fantasy boyfriend has taken over your life and you have neglected your family or screwed up your career - then yeah, hubby should intervene. I didn't get the impression that Austin's friend was in so deep that she shouldn't be allowed to even go on the message board. My guess is he is jealous and insecure. My hubby is the one who showed me how to use the internet so I could follow Clay's career after the end of his season on AI. He set up folders for me and got me a hard drive, a CD burner, a VCD burner and has been my enabler!! Even got me the laptop I am typing on! He's a keeper!!

ETA, speaking of GB - I saw the clip of his small appearance on yesterday's B&B. He actually looked pretty good. He was clean shaven, hair cut, fluffed and COMBED!!

Very cool husband FC! I could already do all that internet stuff when I saw C on AI and I typed in "Pray for the Soul of Betty" by myself and that's when the semi-madness started!

I agree that some of the women are completely obsessed. As I've said before, they're more concerned with his life than theirs.

No way would I have gone to Brel w/o Frankie being with me. We really had a blast. My other friend got sick in Houston and had to turn back to Austin, but Frankie and I had so much fun. She is deranged, but in a good way.

Like you said, FC, if you've got a family and you're traveling all over the country to see the same concert over and over and over and over again, Houston, we have a problem.

Living in L.A. means that all the concerts I wanna see come right to my doorstep. Now, if I was hellbent on meeting someone, I can see where someone might go to one extra concert where the person is performing in some podunk town, because then you have much more of an opportunity of running into them there.

Controlling husbands are no good. If I ever had a man who forbade me from going on the internet, it would be oversville. Completely. He wouldn't even have the opportunity to forbid me. I don't know what he's holding over her head that's making her tow the line, but if she's living her life normally and just wants to chat with her friends about a celeb crush, something is going horribly wrong in that marriage above and beyond her crush. The minute my man started in with telling me I wasn't "allowed" to go on whatever damn site I wanted, there would be a major "discussion" and by "discussion" I mean in the end he would just shut the fuck up about it.

My ex-husband was big on "forbidding" me to do things and go places. That is just one of the many reasons he is my "ex"!

Yes, current hubby really is a great guy I got really lucky the second time around!

OK, I have been trying to see Con's B&B clip of July 5th. It finally showed up on Rickey's site, but the vid won't play. I want to see it because it shows Rick's duet with Feebs. I hear he has a really good voice and I would like to see/hear it for myself. If anyone knows where there is a working vid for the July 5th show please provide me with the link. Thanks.

OK, never mind. I found the clip at The Clack House.

First off, I cannot believe Rick and Feebs sang THAT song!! That is a duet off of Tina Arena's CD (she is an Aussie singer). I bought that CD after I heard her sing on the World Music Awards. It was the first time I ever heard of Marc Anthony. I fell in love with his voice and went nuts trying to find ANYTHING Marc Anthony. This was before he made it big on the music scene. Rick sings pretty good, but he is no Marc Anthony. Now I know Marc A is kinda scrawny and scary looking, but if you have not listened to one of his CDs you are missing out on a truly gorgeous voice.

Anyway, other than the duck lips (please stop doing that GB) and the messy hair (get a freaking brush GB) I really think he is doing a good job. I am enjoying his scenes and I look forward to seeing where this is going.

I haven't been to Greek Speak in ages, but when they show the kissing scene with Auntie, I may have to break down and see what everyone is saying!!

GB will never stop doing the duck lips. There's nobody, in this universe or any other, who can tell him that it's annoying and to cut that shit out. Nobody. He thinks it's sexy. He will not change. GB answers to nobody, which is why he is the shmuck that he is.

GE, Constantine P is suppose to have a kissing scene coming up with Feeb's Aunt Felicia.

In the episode on July 5th the duck lips take on a life of their own Seriously, he did it so many times. If I were the director I would have smacked him! He should just start saying his lines in the Donald Duck voice

But, other than that, his acting has been pretty darn good IMHO.

Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, what IS this girl thinking She is taking her mess with Clive a little too far! The man is known as "The Dread Lord" (this per people in the record label biz). He has been known to sit on artist's CDs. What is she thinking saying some of this stuff to the media!

You would be surprised how many women going thru difficult times say that Clay, or his voice, are the only thing that helps them. It's wonderful that he can do that for people. Must feel very rewarding to know you can touch people that way.

I have the concert for Live Earth on. I have not really been watching it, doing housework. I just heard a fabulous voice and said WHO IS THAT? Turns out to be Kelly Clarkson.

I think she one one of the rare people who can crash and burn for a bit and still be back not too much later. She was great!

Kelly does have a fab voice. She and Xtina are my fave female singers. I do like Carrie's voice very much too! I don't know if Kelly is crashing and burning really. She clearly has issues with Clive and the label. I just don't think she is being smart where he is concerned. I have read he is pretty nasty. I wouldn't want to make him an enemy!

Frazz, did you see that Crossroads show where Kelly sings duets with Reba? They were awesome together!! Kelly never sounded better than she did that night and on Reba's songs! I downloaded all of them to make a mini CD for myself!

I did not see the concert with Reba. Is it available online?

I'm too tired tonight to go hunting, but I bet Kelly Clarkson Express has the vids and MP3's available for downloading. I do know at least two of the songs were on You Tube a few weeks back. One of Kelly and Reba singing Kelly's "Since You Been Gone" and the other being "Because of You".

Honestly, I would need to hear way more than this 30 seconds to ever consider buying this CD. If he wrote all the songs it appears he has some descent songwriting abilities, but the singing for me is not good. It sounds whiny and monotone to me. Sorry, but his voice has just never done anything for me. He has had some moments, but for the most part his voice just does not move me. Perhaps if I could hear full versions I would feel different. I do like Girl Like You though.

Hee. Firecracker, you are acting more like a fangirl these days than I am. Although I firmly believe that you are probably right on both counts. I think the man IS talented and he has the capacity for being attractive; the hitch is that both things require EFFORT and sometimes he expects it all to just happen without him doing anything other than roll out of bed. I'll have to load up the old DVR and see if he bothered to shave.

OMG! I was going to say the same thing. I was like he is so pretty today. My God what happened to me? I have been so over that dude forever but he did look nice today and is a way better actor than some of the other people on that show. His hair was really nice. I am in shock myself FC!
