| Hi! What a day! They couldn't get whatever is stuck in the chimney out So nothing is fixed. They are coming back Thursday with a camera that will go down the chimney and see what is going on. I fear the fix is going to be expensive. He thinks it could be brick and mortar and we could need some major work done. I called another heating company for a second opinion. I've got them coming out Thursday morning to check things out, and this guy coming back Thursday afternoon. God, it just never ends The snow storm is just rain right now. They say the snow will hit sometime after 10:00 PM and continuing thru the day tomorrow. So I don't know if we will make it to the DMV. They say anywhere from 6 to 13 inches. ICK! Yes, I am so glad I just kept hunting for Wolf!! I think she is going to be amazing! I don't know if she will be more beautiful than Rhian, but she is going to be so much fun!! I so love her face and eyes. Yes, wicked cool is a great description of her! I still won't relax until she is here!! | |

| The back-draft from the furnace blows out the pilot light in the hot water heater. Rob goes down and lights the pilot and turns down the furnace so we can have hot showers, wash dishes and clothes. Then we can turn up the furnace and warm up, but at some point the hot water pilot will go out. This can be dangerous at some point if enough exhaust doesn't get out. This is not our fireplace chimney, it is the chimney vent for the furnace and hot water heater. The guy said we may have to get a new furnace and hot water heater that has venting out the side of the house and forget the chimney. $4,000.00 That is why I called for a second opinion. Someone needs to be able to break up whatever is blocking the chimney and preventing all the exhaust from getting out. We put two CO2 detectors in the basement and they are not registering any problems, but there probably is a very low level anyway. It's scary and upsetting. I swear if it is brick and mortar I am going after the bricklayers!! | |

| Good morning! Well, we didn't get any snow over night, just rain, but they are still predicting we will get 8 to 12 inches during the day today. They cancelled all schools, even Eric's college The college NEVER closes. Really, it never closes. They must really be afraid students and teachers won't make it home or something. Justin was surprised when I went in and told him not to get up for school (since there is no snow on the ground) and Eric will be shocked that he won't have classes today. I have a head cold I felt it coming on yesterday and now it is bad. I hate that when you have to blow your nose every 5 mins I can't decide if I want to venture out today or not It is super windy and wet and they say it will turn to snow soon. I really did want to get out today, but now with this head cold and the yucky weather, I just don't know. I just read where there were 51 tornadoes over night and 44 deaths so far How horrible and sad. Hope you are seeing better weather than most of the country is today! Well, it is time to read the paper and decide what I am going to do. Hope you have a wonderful day! TTYL~ ETA: Luca look what just went up for auction on ebay! With two outfits!! Gorgeous photo of her face. I wonder what she will end up going for. I am going to keep my eye on her and see what she sells for. Of course this couldn't come up for action before I bought my Rhian That's OK, I am just thrilled to have her. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150213507182&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123 AETA: Well, I don't have to decide if I'm going out or not The blizzard has hit us!! Snow, ice, wind! ETAA: Well, it is after 5:00 Pm. All my guys are home safe and sound. The wind and snow is still strong. I don't know when we will be able to snow-blow or shovel since the wind is so strong. I fear it will blow right back on the driveway It's so cold too with the strong wind. Feels like 3 degrees. My dad has had a couple of bad days. Mom called me a little while ago and said that she called the Hospice nurse in because dad was having trouble breathing and she wanted the nurse to see if the oxygen level should be changed to 4. Despite the 3 water pills he is taking now he is not having any output. The Hospice nurse (this is Susan his supervising nurse) said that he is in decline. The kidneys have all put completely shut down, which is making his heart work harder. That is why he is weaker and the trouble breathing. Susan took my aside in another room upstairs and told my mom she feels it won't be much longer. I know we have been told this before, but my mom really sees a difference this week. When Eric drove off with the SUV and the garage was empty, my mom broke down in tears and said it just felt like "a sign". His tools are mostly gone (he made furniture for a hobby) and now both cars gone (things my dad loved and were such a big part of his life) just made her feel like he was gone too I really am prepared. Sad, but prepared. We did get the chance to get so much in order and done in the last seven weeks. Crap! Eric just got called into work He's going to deliver pizzas in this mess I am not a happy mommy!!!!!!!!!! | |

It sounds like it may be getting close to the end. (((((((FC))))))))) So sorry to hear you are sick on top of everything else! And your baby has to go to work in that crap! Do people really order lots of Pizzas when it is like this? They better tip him to beat the band to make it worth going out it that! Drats! I was hoping that gal who is selling the Hestia had some pics with her out of her stock. I would like to see one in non-stock clothing. That will be interesting to see what that one goes for. Eeek! I am almost off the clock....better run!

| Yes, I would love to see her out of stock too! I of course could change mine. I bet some day I do. I tell you, if I had lots of money I would be tempted to buy this one to have one to play with She is such a gorgeous girl!!! Justin and my mom said the same thing - who the heck is getting pizza? Well, I say everyone who didn't get to the store today to get something to cook! Eric just called me! He said "It Sucks out here!" Poor baby I wish he could just come home. Poop. I've been looking up info on cremation. The funeral home in their little town (Conley - family run) does cremation and ceremonies there. I learned lots of info from the site. I guess I need to make plans | |

What kind of ceremony did he want, if you don't mind me asking. You are the best daughter your parents could ever wish for. I know they must both appreciate and love you to pieces. The deed is done. I have an elf witch coming!

| Congrats on ordering your Elf Witch! I can't wait to see her! Can you show a pic of her? Is she that last one you showed with the armor? Thanks! I like to think that I am a really good daughter. I do know that they love me a lot I didn't know there were different types of cremation I just looked up the procedure, made sure it was done at the funeral home in Elburn. Read about how we can have a little ceremony before, witness it, etc. Looked at some urns on-line. Things like that. Mostly I wanted to know how long it takes to get the remains after the cremation. I didn't find that info on any sites. I had to stop as my mom called to tell me she had a Hospice nurse come to spend the night. My dad couldn't breath at all lying down. She thought maybe he wouldn't make it through the night. We were getting ready to venture out in the storm to go there when she called back and said not to come. They got him comfortable, and though this nurse (a male) said things weren't good, he didn't think he would die in the night. So we stayed home (I was so worried about Eric needing us - he did make a lot in tips last night!) But, I went to bed dressed just in case. His oxygen is up to 5 now. Has to sit up straight and put his arms up in the air every now and then. He knows it is soon and he told my mom he is "scared shitless" I will be spending the day with him tomorrow (unless of course things change and I have to come today) but today I have lots of kids and those two different teams of heating guys coming to work on the chimney. Hopefully he is doing a little better today. Gotta go get ready for kiddies and morning heating team! Have a great day! | |

| wow. Your poor mom and dad have been through so much, and so have you... I so hope your Dad's suffering ends soon. Can't they give him a big dose of something to make him go out more comfortably? I know our hospice team has the authority to give whatever drugs they need to sedate people when the suffering gets to great...It helps the patient to stop fighting and let go. It also helps the family from having to suffer through watching their loved one go through agony.*weeps* I think my new baby girl may have mini fangs! I love that if she does! Makes her more edgy does'nt it? You must help me come up with a suitable name! | |

| MINI FANGS!!! That would be SOOOO COOL!! Yes, that is the girl I remember you saying you were thinking of getting! She is gorgeous! Especially for an elf (since I'm not usually into those ears) But she is so beautiful the ears don't distract from that beauty. I do see what appears to be little fangs. They look much better than the full on fangs on the vampire dolls. Some vampire dolls are very nice though. Are you getting her with that cool armour? What about the pink eyes? I LOVE the pink eyes!! Did you get to choose her eye color or face-up? I love that wig on her too! She is going to be just amazing! I can't wait to see how she fits into your story! Well, my dad is not is any real pain at this time. They have increased the oxygen to 5 and are switching to the mask when he feels extra winded. There will be 24 Hospice nurses again thru the weekend. Tomorrow I will be there at 9:30 AM to stay with him for a few hours. The nurse who is coming at 11:00 AM will be bringing a "comfort kit" to keep in the house for when the time comes. Susan (the supervising nurse) came to check everything today at 4:00 and based on his vitals, everything she heard in his chest, and comments from my dad about being more "aware" of his heart and lungs, she think that yesterday he had another silent heart attack She thinks that is why the sudden change in his breathing. Before yesterday he was taking breaks from the oxygen for hours while sitting up and watching the news or sports. Now he needs it all the time and at a higher level. Also he has never said he can "feel" something different in his chest. I know that they are not God or know everything, but all 3 of the nurses who have seen him in the last 24 hours have said that they don't think it will be much longer. But he has been like the little energy bunny for the last 8 weeks. He is upset that the Hospice nurses are back on round the clock. I think when they left round the clock he thought that meant he was getting better (which he did for awhile) and now that they are back means he is in trouble. I know that is how I would feel. When his vitals improved and the nurses said they didn't need to be there, except for check ups, we all got optimistic that maybe somehow things weren't as bad as the doctors said. That he was stronger then they thought. I guess he was for awhile though. I won't be around most of the day tomorrow. I will leave at 9:00 AM for their house for a few hours. Then do their (and mine) grocery shopping. If there is time after that I'll try to take Eric to the DMV before the afterschoolers get home. If not I will have to take him Monday when he gets home from classes. Almost time for Supernatural!! TTYL! | |

| It sounds like the Hospice program you have is awesome! They even provide more services than they do here! They usually don't do round the clock shifts with families. I know sometimes they will stay for a few hours if needed, depending on what is happening-but are only a phone call away if they need to come and do something to make the patient more comfortable. If families need round the clock care they have to personally hire caregivers to do that. They are talking about openning a Hospice House through the hospital I work at that would provide someone round the clock and probably some nursing care. I imagine it will cost more than outpatient hospice too. Your Dad got a second wind, and how wonderful he made it through Christmas and has felt a little better for a while and your family has gotten a chance for closure. Yes, I love Soho...I think she rocks! The mini fangs and just everything about her is so unique. I really like that she is a limited doll too. Eventually, they will run out of her and that will be that. I like the idea that not that many people are going to have one just like her. So far noone on DOA or Resinality has one. Some folks have gotten the little mouse they make, and rave about the customer service and quality. I really am impressed with how user friendly their web site is. I hope they ship the doll in less than 3 weeks! That would be so cool. I also am hoping she comes with those gorgeous eyes and that same wig. She will have that default face-up, but the wig and eyes will be random. I would have loved to get the armor set, but it was sold out. I imagine it sold for a pretty penny too because it was made out of metal. I have found my Dollzone boy has photos everywhere and is mass produced. I have made him look a little more unique, but it does kind of bug me that there are tons of them out there. But, that is why he was fairly reasonable too, and getting him got me Mal. I love that little fox almost as much as I love Val. I have contacted a seamstress from DOA about making Soho a dress, hooded cloak, and tunic/adventurer outfit. What I have her do will depend on the prices. Once I find out more, I will post some photos over here. | |

| Yes, the Hospice care is excellent! The group is called Vitas and Medicare is paying for all of it. Hospice is paying for all of dad's meds except the insulin. Yes, limited dolls are so cool to have. Three of mine are 500 limited - Kira, Isis and Rhian. I guess Wolf will be too. Are the Sohos more limited than 500? Which site did you get her at? I'm sure you will put together an amazing outfit for her. You always do! I love your little fox too! I would never pay big bucks for a pet, but they are so adorable!! You made the right choice with that Dollzone purchase, even though there are a lot of them out there, just to get the pet at such a steal!! I think your Hid is incredible even if he is not limited. | Ha, I used to dream of George Clooney when he was on ER and I had a big crush on him It's been years though. Wow, she is expensive!! When Wolf arrives (I pray she does, I am still nervous about that whole thing) I will have gotten 3 gorgeous Hestias for what Soho cost! Without her clothes I am so glad that the Hestias are good size with great acrylic eyes and amazing hair! They will keep me from BJDs for a long time I think BJDs would be a dangerous thing for me to get into You know me. I'd never be able to stop at one I love the pets at that site. They are way too cute (and sadly too costly) I love that girl Jenne! Now her I would be quite tempted to get, but her price doesn't include wig or clothes. So much money, but she is so pretty and definitely my kind of girl! Maybe someday when I inherit some money I will take the plunge. I won't be going to folks as early as I thought. My dad wants me to take Eric to the DMV first and get the titled transferred. He said he will feel better knowing that is done before he dies. He is so worried about having all in order so my mom doesn't need to think of any more than she possibly has too. So Eric and I will leave for the DMV about 10:00. There is a Super WalMart down the road from it and I will do our shopping there. Then drop Eric and our stuff off at home and go on to my folks. Visit with dad a couple hours and run mom to her Jewel and be home by 4:00 for the afterschoolers. If I am not back in time, Eric will be here and so will my MIL. Just in case I feel I should stay longer at my folks if dad seems too bad off. The boys have to work tomorrow, but all 4 of us are going to visit there on Sunday. My MIL might come with too. It could be the last time we are all together | |

| Ahhh, your Dad sounds like the sweetest, most considerate man. He wants to take care of your Mom until the end.... I hope you have a beautiful visit today...I know you will be rushed, but just in case you feel you want to stay longer it is good you have that option. Yes, Soho isn't cheap is she? But, her quality looks above what the lower level BJD dolls are and I am excited to venture into the next quality level to see if I see a lot of differences between Dollfactory and Dollzone. She is limited and comes with an extra set of hands and feet (high heel feet and grasping hands eeek-must find her a sword!), eyes, wig and face-up for what I paid...and her posebility does look beyond the other dolls I have. Korean dolls are much more revered in the BJD collecting world, so this should be interesting to have one from there. I just could'nt pass her up based on her beautiful mold, her unique look, and the fact she is limited and no one else seems to have one! I guess because this is very new company on the scene. They are just taking off and doing well with their petdolls in this market. I don't think the MSD Ari line has done much here yet, but I think it will based on how nice and original their dolls are. It will be fun to help promote the line by having one to show people in non-company photos. If it was'nt for the sale of Bill...I doubt I would ever have spent that much for one! Val was 199.00 which really was'nt that bad considering Pullips go for 125-140 in some cases...and trust me once you have had a BJD there is such a difference that you do easily get hooked! I just think BJD's are really not that much higher than Pullips anymore for some of the good quality lower end dolls-and there seem to be more new doll companies coming out all the time which seems to be helping the prices somewhat. I think it is really more whether you like them enough to spend a little more...I totally understand not wanting to start down the BJD road though because of the higher prices and having to get all new clothes and accessories for them as well. I did ask the company if she does have mini fangs...I just have to know! Hope you have a good day my laydee...TTYL! | |

| It was a wonderful day! The weather was great here today. SUNNY! No rain or snow! No wind and just enough above freezing to melt some of the mess that is all over this area. I can't even get to the mailbox from the snowplow piling up the snow 2 feet high! So the weather was beautiful (tomorrow we go back into the deep freeze) There were no big lines at the DMV so we got the title transfer and plates done in about 10 mins. We whipped through that Super WalMart and got lots of food for the next week and some goodies too! Dropped Eric off and we put all the food away. Got to my folks at 1:30 and visited with Dad for an hour before taking mom to the store. With both of us shopping just for them it went quick. Got home 2 mins to 4:00! Just before the school bus. Eric and Justin were home so it would have been fine had I not made it and the moms knew I was visiting my folks and that if I felt I should stay with my dad I would. The only sad part was my visit with my Dad. He was sitting up in his hospital bed and we were able to talk, but his eyes looked glazed over, almost like cataracts are covering them. His skin is very yellow. Probably from the kidneys and liver not functioning. Even though his mid section is so large from the water gain, the rest of him looked so thin. There were two Hospice nurses there. They were able to get my dad in his wheelchair this morning and he sat in it for 4 hours. My mom wheeled him to the garage and opened the big garage door so he could see all the snow. He also saw that his cars were gone He cried a little this morning to my mom. He said he wanted to live, but not like this. He has asked her to make all his fave foods this weekend. So at the store we got everything to make meatloaf (no one makes a better meatloaf than my mom and I've tried so hard to get mine as good) mashed potatoes, roasted chicken, stuffing, potato salad (she is known for her potato salad and has to bring it to all family functions ) It's like his big last supper weekend! We will all be there on Sunday. I hope he is doing as well Sunday because he was able to sit up and talk. He is weak and his voice isn't strong, but you can hear him. With the oxygen turned up to 5 he seems to be breathing OK. Hospice brought the Comfort Kit today for when the time comes Your girl will be so special!! I cannot wait to see her eyes, wig and the clothes you select for her!! Yes, clothes are an issue with me getting BJDs. I don't have any and so many of the great outfits for BJDs are so expensive. At least if I want to change my Hestias they can wear Barbie clothes and I have a whole trunk full of those I can even get them Pullip or J-Doll stock since they all have the same bodies!! Works for me! Well, I need to make some dinner. The daycare kids are gone and my guys are home for now. Justin leaves for work at 6:45 PM. Eric will go out with friends later. Rob isn't home yet though. Hard to get us all in the house together lately ! Hope you had a good day! TTYL~ | |

If he is still at all interested in food that is an indicator to me that he is not quite done yet...these things can change hour by hour though. Hey check out this new AOD MSD doll. Her name is Lin something and is a new mold. Isn't she pretty? I think the AOD company does a nice job with their face sculps and there face-ups are getting better and better.

| Yes, it is good he is thinking of food. It just seems like he wants to eat all his faves one last time Or maybe thinking he doesn't know how many meals he has left. I can see feeling that way. Thinking of all your fave things and wanting them one more time before you go. That doll is beautiful! I love her eye color and face up. I will have to check her out! I think that I am going to name Wolf "Winda"! It means hunter! She is hunting down Red Riding Hood! Her name is really Isora Kagennotukinoribetu. I didn't want another "I" name for a Hestia, and I didn't find a ""K" name where the meaning fit her. Since I call her Wolf I looked for "W" names. I think it is a cute name! I should have that name since I spent days hunting for her!! I want to help with names for your Soho. So what kind of Elf Witch is she going to be? A good one, or an evil one? A warrior like the one in the armour? Do you have a "beginning letter" in mind for a name? All your BJDs have names that can be shortened to 3 letters, "Val", Mal, and Pru"! Do you your Soho to have a name like that? I actually like the name "Soho" It's just cute and fun to say! Though it does not sound "evil" | |

| Winda is very cute and unique! And she does look like a goth huntress! It will make me think of a small child saying another name very much like that...that cannot pronounce "l's" yet though! Yes, I so need your help on Soho's name. I am picturing her as a mischievous partly good and partly evil elf witch. She has the sweet face, but also has the minifangs going on too! I do like names that can be shortenned for typing them, but I am thinking this girl needs a little longer name, then we can come up with the right nickname as we go. I do like the idea of an old world name. All my other's have old world names so that would fit the best I think. ETA: I should add that what I have figured out so far about how I see her character in the story will be that she is a distant elf relation to Pru that has been called forth from another time to protect Lady Pru ...and is quite the badass with a sword. She also has a secret love/hate thing for Val...and tries to trick him into falling for her every now and then., in between trying to kill him..

OK, I will look for some old world names that go with Val and Mal. Hubby has to work late and I am just sitting in bed alone with my laptop anyway At least Eric is home and has music going so I don't feel all alone. He usually goes out late on Fridays when his friends get off work, so I don't know how much longer he will be here. Justin should be home by midnight though. So off to look for names!!

| DEMETRIA: with roots in Classical mythology, this is a beautiful name. An interesting side-note: it's also Demi Moore's real name.)DEYANIRA This was the name of Hercules' wife in Greek mythology. Meaning 'forceful killer,' this pretty name is most popular among Spanish-speaking populations in the USA.ESTRELLA: a beautiful name, meaning 'star.' OMG! This site had this name! I never see this name anywhere! It is my middle name I had no idea it was an Italian name It was my grandmother's name so my mom made it my middle name. I hate it BTW FIORELLA: Italian for 'little flower.' A pretty, unusual name. (yucky no?)GALINA This name is very popular in Russia. It has its traditional nickname, Galya, but you could also use others, such as Gali (Hebrew for 'wave'), or Lina. (I love this one and she could be "Gal" to go with Val and Mal! LISELOTTE- /leez uh LOTT ah/-- a German name combining 'Lis' from 'Elisabeth' and 'lotte' from 'charlotte.' Lottie and Lise are nice diminutives. Lilo is another one. NERISSA- another name coined by Shakespeare-- used by a minor character in The Merchant of Venice. Much more silvery and smooth than similar names Vanessa, Marissa etc. RENATA pronounced /reh NAH ta/, this name means 're-born' in Latin. SIRENA: /see RAY na/ Latin for 'siren,' the mythological creatures who lure sailors to their death with their beautiful voices. Also Spanish for 'mermaid.' SOBIRANA: a lovely name used in the medieval Occitan region of france. The English cognate is 'sovereign.' (I love this one! AND it has the "So" from her given name!) XANDRA: a funky form of the now-popular Alexandra. (I picture a superhero with a sword when I say this name out loud!) ZARINA: This lovely Arabic name means 'golden. ZELEIA - /zeh LYE a/ - a mythological Greek place name. That's all I got for now! | |

| Fiorella? I think you should have gone by your middle name!!!!! That's some spicey meatballs.....ya know? I am feeling Xandra so far, but I think it may not be quite dark or elfish enough..Thanks for looking around for me!!!! You found some good ones! Well, the curse of the faulty heating systems has befallen upon us too! The fan to our heater is not working...I am going to go snuggle in front of the fireplace and get under a blanket before I freeze to death! It is 64 degrees and falling...luckily it was a sunny day today and warm in the upper 40's so the temp when we got home was still 65. We usually only keep the heat at 69...so it is just now feeling cooler than usual. | |

| That's my fave too! I am having a hard time finding sites with interesting old world names. I tried some Goth sites, but didn't see much interesting there. Maybe I will find more tomorrow. I am getting sleepy Still no hubby home to spoon with So sorry about the heat problem!! We have heat, just not hot water - at least not at the same time as heat!! To have hot water we have to turn the furnace down so as not to blow out the pilot light. After all our showers we get to turn the heat up - but we lose he hot water Hope you can get your problem fixed SOON! Snuggle by fire with hubby and bottle of wine!! God forbid anything happens to our heat this weekend - wind chills of -20 tomorrow and -30 on Sunday!! We would all need to move into the attached in-law apartment with my MIL! Good thing she has her own furnace, air conditioner and hot water heater. It does provide us with a place to go if we have major problems. Out our way all the heating and cooling people come out on Saturdays, so you should be able to get someone out to fix it tomorrow. | |
