| No, I do not think the group numbers and choreography were her bag! I think she was probably happy to be there - just looked terrified trying to do the dance steps. Being a tough rocker chick I think she probably felt the pop/dance group numbers were selling out or something. But that goes along with being on that show. If you try out and make the top 12 you better be prepared to swallow your pride and dance along! | |

| Sky, I was also wondering if you were really trying to make a point with the caps. Ha!
Sky, re: what frazz was saying. Is it the drug culture that surrounds the hippie/flower child thing that bothers you too? I mean, with the way they've been saying he smokes pot, etc.

| Geez, no the caps were a mistake. I post on a board that has some crazy colors for a background and the fonts are hard to read, so we use caps most of the time. I was not yelling, or trying to make a point. I wouldn't do that to any of you. I'm not sure what you meant by what Frazz was saying, did I miss something? My idea or thoughts of a flower child means 'hippie' and neither JC or his parents are 'hippies'. I guess, it comes down to my perception of the whole 'hippie' culture (back in the day ) and I don't think that 'flower child' fits. It has nothing to do with people saying they thought JC was 'high' or smoking pot, I know that he wasn't, even if he was, it wouldn't matter to me. | |

- I would love to know what the terms hippie and flower child mean to you more specifically.
At least two-thirds of the reason I like him is that he seems like the hippie flower children of my college years. Those are both positive terms to me. What frazz said above. She takes it as something positive. I didn't think you would mind if he did, but just that maybe other people kept insinuating that and I know it makes Jason fans upset when people keep saying it. Ha! I remember when I first went on a message board and typed all in caps and everyone kept screaming at me to stop screaming at them. I had no idea that it meant I was screaming. I just thought it was clearer. I didn't think you would make a point like in a bad way, but more like you REALLY believed in what you were saying. I know I may have, on occassion, possibly wanted to drive a point home and might have had an excessive use of caps. Maybe. A little. Ahem.

| I completely missed that post! Sorry, Frazz. Reading the comment by Frazz, I see that she thinks it's positive. The trouble with it is, most people that aren't fans and don't 'get' Jason and hear the term 'flower child' might not think it's a positive label. I'm aware that caps mean you are yelling, so I would never use them on a board other than where I do already in order to be able to read! Aww.......ladies, I'm such an easy going gal, not much offends me. | |

| Here is an interesting read and little video of the top 5 ladies: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtracker/2008/06/idoltracker-din.html Poor Brooke being so upset that Carly got sent home that week instead of her Brooke is such a sweet girl. Flower childFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search - Quote :
- Flower child or Flower Children originated as a synonym for hippie, especially those who gathered in San Francisco and environs during the summer of 1967, which was called the Summer of Love. It was the custom of "Flower Children" to wear flowers to symbolize peace and love. During the earliest years of its use, the term was most commonly used in the plural, only rarely in the singular.
Jason wore flowers in his dreads when he made top 20 and walked the red carpet!

| American Idol is coming under fire from the Writer's Guild. The Protest Bus will be following the Audition Tour Bus around.
This is hysterical. Boy, I hope they get those SOB's. I'm so over the people who run this show it's not even funny.

| Cool! It always amazes me (why, I don't know, since it is the way big business operates in America) that people making zillions treat the people who attract those billions (which includes writers) like shit. All they would really have to do is double the salaries of everybody making under $100,000...drop in the bucket to the rich ones, a life saver for the workers. | |

| I actually saw him driving one of his fancy cars. After a show, my friend and I were stopped at a light and he was exiting the studio. We honked and waved and he waved back.
Frazz, you are so totally right. It's like they say, "I don't know if I can spare this dollar. I might need it to tip my maid or something!"

| Well, I saw him driving during the Chris/Taylor time, so maybe he's stopped by now, but he's got a very well-known love of cars and driving them, so I doubt the limo rumor is true. | |

| If he has a driver, I hope that driver sues him for paying inhumanly low wages, just because I am in a bad mood for lack of enough money.
That is a good reason, right?

| It just confirms what I began figuring out a couple of years ago. At the time, it was the cast that I noticed was getting screwed, but now it's obvious they are just wicked to everybody.
Freemantle is bad, bad people. Period.

| Seems they all plan to write! AI needs to have "Original Song Week" like Nashville Star does so that we can see more of the contestants' artistic ability and hear what they would like to record if given the opportunity. Of course for those contestants who don't write music they might go into a bit of a panic | |

| AI isn't interested in people who can write songs. They don't want you writing your own songs. You Clay fans know that! There were songs on his first album he refuses to sing, but they made him put them on the album.
They don't want them too original. The contestants probably all mention writing due to the cookie-cutter get-in-in-your-damn-box-and-stay-there atmosphere that is AI.
