PostSubject: Re: Former Reality Show Contestants   Former Reality Show Contestants - Page 10 Icon_minitimeWed May 16, 2007 10:23 pm

Austin, I also meant to address what you said before about him having a "sense of humor" about something. Truthfully, that was one of the things I, and from most of the women-who-hate-him-now have said that they loved about him. That he had a sense of humor about himself.

It turns out he does not. At all. He takes himself very seriously and has absolutely no sense of humor where he is concerned.

These women make excuses for him in the same way women who get beaten to shit go back when their boyfriends send them flowers. I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

I CANNOT separate the man from the entertainer. I. Can't. Not when I know what a fucking worthless piece of garbage and waste of a life and talent he is. Not when I know that he has no real feelings for anyone but himself. Not when I know he has absolutely no personality. No morals. No sense of decency AT ALL. A person can have a few traits I don't like, but when they're totally and completely reprehensible and have no redeeming qualities that can be shown to me by people who know him personally, I have to say that I CANNOT separate the man from the performer.

He HATES women. Hates them. Treats them like garbage (or, like I've said before and seems accurate - toilet paper). He's vile. He's a creep. If he wasn't a performer he'd have been locked up for stalking. Yes, he is a stalker when he's denied what he wants.

I look at him and I literally see just dirt and filth and stink and sewage. I can't believe I didn't see what he was from the beginning. I bought the package he sold me. I guess if it had been a cartoon, I would have turned into a sucker.

That there are women who call other women horrible names because they speak the truth scares me to no end. That we'd become the worst thing that men say we are. A cliche about women clawing over the same man. Better yet, a man they'll never ever have in a million years (or if they do, he'll fuck them and toss them in the dumpster right after the deed is done). I'm ashamed to be the same sex they are. I don't know how they can look at themselves in the mirror. They are truly deluded and must have had some stuff happen in their lives to skew their reality so greatly, that despite logical facts being shown to them, they stick up for this scumbag.

I understand what you're saying Green Eyez. I understand what and why you feel the way you do. I am not thrilled with him most of the time, and I don't understand why I don't hate him. I'm just in the mostly indifferent stage tinged with WTF did he do/say now? It is just like a train wreck that I keep passing by and can't seem to stop looking at.

And I think some of those women are SO deeply invested that if they pull out now, they will be left without anything. They've made him almost their whole lives. It is sad. And I know he doesn't care about them at all, (no matter what they think.)

We were just talking about that 6th place finisher from AI 4. The one who seems to have had some serious problems in maturation and personality development and common sense and decency. You know the one? The one who has a huge hit of karma probably actively looking for him. Maybe that's why he's always on airplanes these days.

I just got home, have AI on and don't want to know yet who is getting the boot, so, what the hell...naw, even that is not a good enough reason for me to make Constantine the focus of my mind.

But another former reality contestant, Elliott Yamin, was just on AI, and did a great job. Fortunately I have never met him.

Yes. You've summed up the problem rather nicely. I can understand the women who are single and haven't had a date in the past decade. The ones who concern me are these married older women with CHILDREN, no less, and their family totally co-sign on mom's obsession. That is creepy and weird and wrong. I can't imagine what kind of husband, with absolutely no balls to speak of, would think it was OK for his wife to have an obsession with this greasy-haired AI contestant. I will never ever get that.

I'll tell you what. I can't hate Danny Bonaduce. Here's an example of a guy who's done some reprehensible things and I can hate him. Know why? First, I get the feeling that he wants to be a good man, but his disease just keeps cropping up and making him do some nasty shit.

Second, and this is very important folks, so listen up: HE DOES have a sense of humor about himself and is HONEST about the shit he's done! He admits he's totally fucked up and there's a sadness there because he tries to fly right but just isn't strong enough to do it because he keeps thinking he's got enough willpower inside him to make everything right (which anyone who's been to a 12-step program knows is not what they preach).

So, it's not just that GB keeps acting up or does stupid-asshole THINGS. I know when they say "I don't love what you do, but I love you". I actually think, deep-down, that he is what he does. There are good people who do stupid things. I don't think he's one of those people.

I love Elliott. Had a lotta hair going on tonight. Prefer the short hair with the beard or the long without the beard.

Well, I did fly up to NYC to see Brel. But no way would I have gone by myself. I went with Frankie and another friend, (NOT a GSer), was supposed to join us but got sick in Houston and had to go home. It was like a girls' weekend and we did have a blast. And we did enjoy the show. But we did other stuff too. And I love going to NYC. But I can't really rationalize it I guess. I did what I did for whatever reason I did.

Frazz, the time I went to AI I sat right behind Elliot's family and they were lovely. His mom and I shared a moment when he was declared safe and I kinda gave her the thumbs-up. I also saw him onstage and he came off well. I'm thinking that the boy is OK. Haven't heard anything bad about him.

Laughing I love that comment about the karma!!! Clueless definitely has some payback coming!

Although, I think it has already hit him! I have seriously never seen anyone lose their looks and age as quickly as he has over the last few years. He went from looking like a fresh faced kid at 28 to looking like a high miles, rode hard put up wet nearly 40 year old at 31-32.

Karma has already kicked in... and he is balding it looks like too! Twisted Evil

Balding affraid What will some of the fans do if he loses "da hair"!!???

Sky, GB=Greak Boy=Constantine=a bit of an ass.

Holy crap - I just remembered about B&B and saw him. Don't shoot me I thought he did kinda good and look kinda cute and I kinda liked his song Embarassed

OK, back again. So scene two and three were pretty strange. I don't know - he seems maybe unconfortable or something. Not such great acting in those scenes. He looks very thin and could sure use some kind of cut and/or style to his hair. It sure ain't looking all pretty and flowing like Bucky's! I will make it a point to check in now and then and see if he is improving. There is something very familiar about the girl. I think she reminds me of Taylor Swift scratch

He really doesn't get it that he looks like crap, does he? He also appears to be missing a tooth.

You can see him reading from cue cards at one point.

Oh man, that clip was baaaad. The hair is stringy and yes it does look like a tooth is missing, though I am sure it is just crooked. Why doesn't he get his teeth fixed if he wants to be an actor scratch Bucky, Elliott and now even Clay got their teeth fixed. I can't get over how unnatural or uncomfortable that scene felt. Maybe drama is not his thing - maybe musical comedy is more up his alley.

Oh Aerwin, are their people predicting emmy nominations Rolling Eyes Yeah, best new actor in a drama. I can see it - Razz

OMG. I try to make it a rule not to watch him and I certainly couldn't watch the whole thing. He looks like a homeless man with the greasy hair and the stubble. Every time I look at him I wanna shoot myself that I not only found him attractive, but sexy and irresistable. I must have had my head up my ASS!

I was talking with my friend today about our discussion here and how I said I don't think he's a good person who's done some stupid things, but that he's raw sewage, and she said, as an impartial observer who just watched AI, that there was nothing "real" about him. She agreed with me about him.

Sometimes when there's distance and you see someone, they look attractive to you again and sometimes you wonder what the hell was going on with your brain chemistry. I'm going with the latter.

Oh, on another note: I used to go with friends and write at INSOMNIA all the time. I guess I'd better stay the hell away now. That they have to pay someone to recognize him now is equally hilarious.

The last part of what I heard...he's playing HIMSELF? Like, he's so famous he's playing HIMSELF? What an ego stroke for him! All these people saying his name. He's probably convinced himself that people really are recognizing him and are in awe.

Now that? Is a healthy attitude.

You hate somebody, you don't bother with them.

I think I'm probably the only fan he has on this website, and I dunno... for me, it's like a habit. That, and the fandom has given me two really genuinely outstanding memories - Greekfest and Brel. That glimmer that Austin sees, of something a little less shallow creeping out at time - that was at Brel. He was genuinely good in that play. Possibly working with Bob rubbed off on him.

Maybe I'm feeling, well, I've been at this for two years, and he's actually currently doing better than he has in a long time. Might as well see it through. I have not watched today's footage, though. Haven't had time, and my husband is currently watching tv and I'm just not champing at the bit to see it. Not like I might once have been.

On the other hand, I have to agree that the latest story about the homeless guy was really pretty appalling, and I totally knew it was completely true the minute I heard it.

It seems that the entire storyline is an advertisement for his album. I think we may all be too close to the subject. I'd like to see what the response is from the ordinary B&B folks.

As for him looking like shit... guy needs to shave. He loses 10 years when he gets that crap off his face.

For many months now, I've been pondering this dilemma... when you find yourself interested in an AI contestant, what is the more compelling facet? Can you be a fan of somebody you think is talented, but whom you know to be a really unpleasant person? That's where I am with Constantine. Can you be a fan of somebody you think may have marginal talent, or talent but undeveloped skill, but everything you seen and read indicates he's just the neatest kid like, ever? That's my situation with Sanjaya Malakar.

Or, I guess, I could just laugh, turn the whole thing off, and either:

1. Help my daughter make a rag doll from scratch, which was our bonding period today
2. Jump my husband
3. Bake something
4. Work out.
5. Watch Dancing With the Stars instead. (Apolo for the win! YAY!)

Jumping hubby gets my vote Wink

The rag doll bonding sounds awesome! So does baking. I LOVE to bake!

I don't know the answer. I just know for me to be really invested and reading everything about an artist and watch everything etc. I do need to like the person. I just do. Other artists who I might like their CDs or acting etc. I would buy their CD if I liked it or see there movie if the subject matter interests me, but I would not have any desire to be on message boards and be so actively supportive. Like Madonna, I don't particularly like "her", but I own some of her CDs. I never seek out any info on her or watch her interviews etc. But if I like a song - I'll get it.

Sanjaya? I don't see a future there. I saw his interview with Rachal Ray and I was not impressed at all. He was giggly and awkward and a wee bit strange. Maybe she is just not a good interviewer. Maybe he was not comfortable with her for some reason. I guess the tour will tell the tale, but Anthony and Constantine got lots of cheers and support on tour and I don't see anything going on with Anthony. Con did not take off as people thought. Ace was a fan fave last tour and I haven't seen anything firm on what is going on with him, so I don't even know if the tour will be a real indicator.

I wish I could be more supportive of Con for your sake. I know how hard it is to be on a board where your fave does not get much respect. I did think his first scene today was pretty good and I think the song is pretty good. He really does need to shave, get the hair styled, and clean up a bit. Frankly I am surprised the B&B people haven't done something with him. He looked so good on AI and that was only 2 years ago. I am sure the stylists there could do a lot to make him look less sleazy.

Hey, the guy's got problems and he's been directly unpleasant to people on this very board. I don't blame anybody who turns green when they see him. There's ample reason. I just... don't. These days, I just pass the popcorn, roll my eyes, prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

I do enjoy hearing abrahammy's and austin's current views on GB. If he had not been an out-and-out jerk to me, personally, who knows how I might feel about him now. I am sure I would still JUDGE him to be a jerk, but my heart might feel differently. But he was a jerk, and my heart doesn't melt in the slightest.

I thoroughly enjoy the fact that he hooked me up with smart, funny women to hang out with on a board, and occasionally in life, and possibly in work.

But I did think he sucked in a LAZY sort of way on the B&B I linked to. LEARN YOUR LINES AND GET YOUR HAIR STYLED!!!

That said, mostly I just am feeling somewhat inebriated and amazed that I got hit on after acting class tonight by three....count them, THREE differerent guys, and my teacher, female, was somewhat inebriated herself, after class, and kissed me on the cheek and called me something like Elaine (as opposed to Elise), with great admiration and affection.

If GB had not been a jerk to me personally, I still might Identify with him.

NAH...I really am much less of an asshole.

I sort of enjoyed reading all that. I just think it's amazing that after 2 years we all are still writing about him. Very polarizing person. Although it's definitely been tilting to one pole lately.

Abrahammy, I have to confess that I would still consider myself somewhat of a fan. I am not that good at self-analysis, so I can't really explain why.

He was asked in an interview if they use teleprompters or anything while taping the show, and he said absolutely not, but who knows. I think the show wants him to look like that, I guess.

BTW, Anthony has a role in the off-Broadway show The Fantasticks right now.

I just got out of bed after being there for 12 hours. Think I got hit bad by peri-menopause yesterday afternoon. Cramping, hot flashes aches and pains, you name it. Have to get the kids to school.
