| I didn't sign up to hear the songs If I find any other sites with the CD sneak peak, I'll bring the link! Anyway, these are Kelly's songs. She wrote or co-wrote all of them. Clive didn't care for the songs or the CD - either that is true or PR to make Kelly more "artist" rock chick - like she wants to be. You know, "real artist vs. big bad business exec.". That would give Kelly the "cred" she longs for. All I know is that I have always been a big fan and supporter of Kelly, and yet this CD so far has not moved me. Some songs are good, others I can't even listen to all the way thru. Girl has a great voice when she sings most songs, but on this CD there is some yelling. | |

| So true He could sure use some pointers on presenting himself better. Oh well, there are plenty of actors whose work I enjoy, even though their RL personalities bug me. Martin Sheen was one. Even his son Charlie - so good in Two and a Half Men, yet appears to be a real low life in RL. There are so many good actors in movies and shows and then you see them interviewed and you just shake your head Constantine sure seems to be one of those. | |

| All I can honestly do is laugh about that cover shot. It looks like an ad for some demonic homeless dude on the verge of going on a killing rampage or something. Now this is an indie produced record right? | |

Dude. You just walked into my house without knocking, and I'm still pissed that you slept with my girlfriend. OUT!
Yes, this is great ambiance for "Girl Like You!" (Maybe "My Favorite T-Shirt?) Not a good choice of picture. He needs to smile. Or at least not glower.

| I was out ALL darn day taking mom and dad to appointments, so I did not get to watch B&B in real time and on TV. I just watched a You Tube of today's show which featured GB's single "Girl Like You". For those of you who hate him you better not read the rest of my post.... Warning you, run now! He was really good today and I LOVE the song. There, I said it. He really is enjoyable in this role and his little "fantasy video" for the song was true soap opera cheese at it's finest. That said, he was really fun and entertaining in it. Goldilocks, not so much lord she is bad. Anyway, I may not have good taste, I don't know, but I think the song is very catchy and radio friendly. He sings it really well too. What can I say. I am not a fan and haven't been for almost two years, but I'm being completely honest, he is entertaining me. I did choke on his one line about men getting away with treating women lousy all in the name of love. I can think of a few other ladies who probably got a real bang out of him saying that line! | |

| I had two strong reactions to B&B today, one negative, one positive. The positive - Firecracker, thank you. Yes, I think he did an excellent job on the show today, and he's playing vulnerable romantic very well. I am glad you like the song. The negative... - Quote :

| Your welcome! Yeah, it is a good thing I was done with my bottle of lemon water when that line came out of his mouth But he was very charming on the show today. Even when he looks older he has a way of coming across young. His smile and the way he moves. I will be very surprised if he is not a big hit in other countries with this part and song. I think he may have struck gold when he landed this gig. | |

Seriously??? Dayummm, I am surprized to say the least! I mean I know he has some "appeal" or he would'nt have generated all the hormones from the mature female demographic back when he was on AI. Would someone be so kind as to post a Youtube link to today's show? I will have to see it now to believe it! I am keeping an open mind here...honest!

| Dear Lord,
Please forgive me for ever finding this man even remotely sexy. This "man" who is a one-trick pony. This man who, for AT LEAST the past 2 years considers "the eyefuck" the height of sexiness. Please forgive me for liking a man who treats women like garbage and Lord, please forgive those women who BEG to be treated like garbage over and over.
Amen
FC, like I said, it's not ONLY his "personality" I find reprehensible, but who he is as a person and how he treats women.
Unfortunately, I do know how he really truly is, and for that reason, I really cannot enjoy "the entertainer" who I really feel is not all that entertaining. Honestly. There's just not one thing about him I find remotely appealing.
I'm glad you all can watch him and still enjoy him. God love you guys for that!

| Yesterday's B&B - Con's parts only.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlH3nrRlNWU
First off the song: I love catchy pop music. I have WAY more CDs like that then rock. I mean come on, I ADORE Clay Aiken. So that tells you my music taste. So this song is not going to appeal to you rocker girls, but I've had it in my head ever since I watched this clip last night.
Trust me GE, I know in RL I would not like this guy. I know I do not like him when he is interviewed. I do not even find him that good looking right now. To be perfectly honest (as ashamed as I am to admit this) I wanted him to suck in this role and for his CD to not be good as punishment for his nasty behavior toward the women he has hurt. Petty I know. The first couple of days on the show I didn't think he was very good. The last few shows I do think he is doing a good job.
All that said, I'm sure he is still a jerk in RL. I don't care for the way he conducts himself when off camera. He and I have different morals and views on the way to treat people. Still, if the whole CD has songs as fun to listen to and sing along with as GLY, I would consider buying it. Now, I am sure if I had personally been a victim of his rude behavior, I would not be able to be so open minded. I completely understand where you are coming from GB.
And yes Luca, considering this show is seen worldwide and his music is being so featured, I do think this was an incredibly lucky stroke for him. MILLIONS of people are going to hear several songs from the CD and that is huge promotion for someone who put together this CD on his own label and will not be getting "pay for play" from a major label. MOST of those MILLIONS know nothing about his poor RL antics. I can indeed see young girls falling for him, especially if his character turns out to be a "good guy" and knight in shining armour for little Goldilocks. Yes, I do indeed think this was a great break for him.

| Just to prove my point about this gig being gold for him, here is a quote from a Clay fan from The Clack House. - Quote :
- I like it too. I haven't been a fan of his, but if this song is any indication, this may be one of the best Idol pop albums yet.
This gig is going to get him sales for sure.

I'm glad we can disagree on this and it's all completely cool with everybody! That's awfully refreshing, I've got to say. I have no way to gauge how this is going over with the neutral public one way or another. A number of vocal people on the B&B message board loathe him and desperately want the writer to declare him a flop and end the storyline abruptly. (I was wondering if they could end the whole Egg Switch story as well if they are going to do that. That has got to be the single storyline in poorest taste in the history of soaps.) Over at GS, of course, he's an unqualified superstar. I hope the Clackhouse reaction represents the actual mainstream reaction from people who don't have a dog in this fight. - Quote :
I like it too. I haven't been a fan of his, but if this song is any indication, this may be one of the best Idol pop albums yet. It will be. He's been putting it together slowly with Jim Boggia and some other really talented people for some time; most debut albums from Idols are money - driven rush jobs. I will say this has got to be the most creative and unconventional marketing campaign I've ever seen for an Idol, but I guess after his long lag out of the spotlight he had to do SOMETHING. I wonder why CBS is doing so much to promote him?

| Is the B&B hate because they know him from AI or because they don't want him to break up Ken and Barbie?? I haven't read at GS, but I figured they would be over the moon! But than if it were Clay getting to act this much and sing on a show almost every day for the whole summer, Claymates would be going insane too! I envy Con fans right now. They get to see so much of their guy for months. I'm not getting a concert from my BF I will have to catch the downloads (which I will be eternally grateful for), plus their guy is getting international exposure - something RCA has never pushed for Clay. Yes, I am jealous and a little bitter since Clay is with a major label and still no international push. Con couldn't have bought this kind of exposure! Even with Clay's large Singapore and Korean fanbase - he has not been sent there to tour, and Europe doesn't even know who he is (except a few in Great Britain) | |

And I am. Doesn't seem quite fair, does it? I will try to get some pictures, sweetie. I'm afraid I do not have a camcorder. This is Constantine's time. Clay had a magic window, too - I remember it, I treasured it, and it was rich and wonderful, when he was on the cover of Rolling Stone and his single was kicking Ruben's butt and he got to be on the Jerry Lewis Telethon and Miss America and every magazine had a big spread about Clay. And then he won that AMA award and I was in a big restaurant viewing room with a bunch of other Claymates and when he won we screamed like we had won the lottery. It was what we got instead of confetti after American Idol, and I still think it was the better deal. I got SO spoiled then, thought like this was what I would expect for every Idol I liked. Clay Aiken is going to be on the public radar for the rest of his life. He is an established star, and rightly so. Maybe not a huge one, but I think he will work for the rest of his life if that is what he wants. He will always make albums, and I think the "failure" of the gold covers album will help them realize he needs good material and genuine promotion. I still want a copy of Lover All Alone. This thing that has come now for Constantine, two years after his show ended, is not as big, but it's very sweet for the fans he has not bitterly alienated. LOL I'm not as avid as some, nor as much as I used to be, but it feels kind of like contented closure to see him get a genuine opportunity to make good. He is NOT an established star, and he may yet disappear after this gig and the record release is over. However, this was also an acting audition, and I think he is proving himself. We will see.
