| Oh well, maybe that is a good thing my laydee! The van is paid for and now you can really justify the doll spending since you have no car payments or at least lower payments than with a new rig! The other thing to think about is there may be a point where in order to slow down the collecting you may have to force yourself to sell one to get a new one...that will slow you down some I bet! And that is what I am going to continue to do to make me have to give up one to get a new one. With BJD's it may have to be 2! That way I will really have to want the new one bad to give up one. It sounds good in theory anyway... | |

| No Luca, we pay $580 a month for that big fancy van. We leased it for 5 years. It was $45,000. We didn't want to buy it so we leased it. So we were looking for an early out of the lease, which has another year. They were cool with the early out but not giving us the monthly payment on the new SUV that Rob wanted. Basically they were penalizing us for trying to get out of the lease early. I don't get it all, all I know is that the guy said we would get a much better deal if we wait and turn the leased van in in 6 months. No penalties and we could get the Nitro for $400 a month. See we were looking to lowering the payments since the Custom van was so expensive and a real gas hog! You don't have to worry about me buying any more dolls for awhile. I have felt sick to my stomach ever since I bought her In fact I feel near tears Maybe it is just menopause? | |

Ahhhh (((((FC))))), you just have had a bad week with the tooth thing and all. It is totally understandable. Not to mention all the stress you have been under with your Dad and Mom. I think the doll collecting has helped take your mind off all that and now you realize you maybe have overdone it just a bit. It really is ok. Now you know you have to call a halt to it and try to channel your stress another way. Maybe it is making things for the dolls or doing more photoshoots or whatever. You can still enjoy the hobby without the ongoing shopping sprees. Maybe there is some stuff you are'nt using you can sell on Pullip Fiction or DG Requiem's site. That may make the new purchase more acceptable if you even out things a bit. I know you like to hold onto all your goodies, but I know you have lots of stuff you are not using, why not clean house a little and have a dollie stuff garage sale? It may make you feel better. Speaking of which... i got the little rement travel set and it is cute. The suitcase is a little smaller than I expected, but that is probably better considering how little room I am going to have for the doll stuff. I am only going to bring 3 outfits plus what she is wearing so I need to choose wisely! Gaby just looks fab in Nero's dress and the minibarbie boots and her Holly hat! So sophisticated and beautiful! This is just too much fun! Cheer up my laydee! Halloween is coming and you get to dress up your clan for it!

| Well it is morning and I feel somewhat better. Thanks for all your kind words and advise and thanks to Abrahammy for writing to me. You both made me feel better. Like I told Abrahammy, for me it really was the price of the new girl that got to me. I have only gotten 4 NRFB in stock dolls. All the rest have been nudes and/or used and I got them for half the price. So I felt good about the purchases and all were paid for with gift money. My mom gave me the cash to buy my Cornice and Papin for driving her around. Rob has only paid for Luca, Natalie and Kira in the past. He always gives me $150 at Xmas to buy what I want, along with little surprises in my Xmas sock. So really that part is all cool. It is the fact that I paid full price for this girl that seemed to be what made me feel queasy It just seems foolish or something to pay that much for a little doll. I know there is a thread at PS asking "Why do we pay so much?" and I think a part of me felt like "is Jun Planning ripping us off? " Anyway, it is not the number of dolls I have that bothers me. Heck, that is what collecting is. I collected little boy figures from the time Eric was born (most costing at least $50 and hubby bought them all for me for Xmas and Mother's Day) and I have WAY more of those than dolls! So it is not the number of dolls that got me. I think it will be looking at this little doll (as beautiful as she is) and going $100???? I could have gotten a new digital camera!! Am I crazy??? That is what got to me yesterday. I didn't feel that way about my Haute because she is so limited, the first and only Pullip made in America, and I knew she would go way up in price and she has. Valley of the dolls has a few in stock now and Scot is asking $288 for her. So the $120 Rob paid looks pretty good But, I wanted her more than any of the other J-Dolls and she is very had to get. I found her through an international Yahoo shopping site. I was determined to find her. I did so there you go. I paid what I paid - stupid as it might have been So now I just look forward to getting her. Consider myself lucky I found her and enjoy her and try not to think about what she cost. So all that said - since her JP name starts with C I have decided to name her Claire. It means "clear and bright". I love the name too. It is beautiful and I have a really kind and wise friend named Claire who has helped me thru some difficult times. AND it is easy for the daycare girls to say since they have a hard time remembering my more interesting names for my girls like Neora, Zaria and Philana Funny, there favorite name I gave one of my dolls is Didi - because they can actually say it! So glad you like your travel rement! I cannot wait to see Gaby in all her travel finery!! I know your photoshoot will be amazing! You have become quite the accomplished photographer! Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful day today! It is sunny with a high of 73 today!! Is this really October in Illinois?? 80 tomorrow!! Why do I feel we are really going to pay for this in the winter When I get home from running errands with my mom we are getting Chinese food and Rob and I are going for another nice long walk taking advantage of this incredible October weather while we still can! Love you ladies! Really I do! Oh, I can't dress "my clan" up for Halloween because I never bought them any costumes!! Maybe the only thing I didn't buy them But they will be dressed up for Xmas!! ETA: I just wanted to add that collecting is big in my family anyway. Hubby collects radios. Some are antiques, other are just "different". He has about 30. They are in his office, the basement (in the workshop on the unfinished side) and the garage. My 16 year old collects old movie posters. He frames them and his walls are COVERED with them. My oldest collects dirty laundry and his floor is covered with it. My dad collects miniature replicas of famous Light Houses. He has many and they are beautiful! My mom collects antique Depression Glass. She has for decades now and has so much she has given a ton to me (YAY because it is gorgeous)which I have on display in our dinning room and kitchen and some in cabinets because she is given me so much! So clearly collecting is in my genes! | |

| Glad you are feeling better today and have fun plans scheduled this evening! I hear ya about not being crazy about spending lots on dolls, but I have been there, done that, and If I wanted the doll bad enough, it has turned out to all be worth it based on how much I enjoy it.
I have been out doing a massive photoshoot, so new pics at PS and Flickr!
Gotta run and go ride while the sun is still out!

| Yeah, I do agree that if the doll brings joy it is worth it, and I do so enjoy them. I guess I felt overwhelmed about stuff yesterday. Not really sure what happened with me. Maybe this abscess is invading my brain You photoshoot is awesome!! They are all so beautiful! Oops - Chinese is here! Later! I'm back! Well, the food was excellent! I love Chinese anyway, but since it was so nice out today and I was gone with my mom, Rob did a ton of yard work - anticipating we may not have too many more weekend days like this to make everything really nice - and says he doesn't feel like going for a long walk Bummer. I really enjoy our walks. Oh well. He does suffer from a bad back and probably doesn't want to push it. He has a really busy week ahead of him with work because he has the following week off. Glad you are out having fun though! I guess I will watch some shows I taped this week. Did you see the photos of Hello Kitty? Man, she is sooo pretty! I love everything about her - well, except the big man eating cat on her head! But the pink dress and shoes are adorable! She has great eyes. I hope somebody re-wigs her in a black or brunette wig so I can see if she will one day be my dark haired/dark eyed girl! I've given up on getting a nude Chill and I will never pay for her with stock because I would never use it. TTYL~ | |

| Glad you liked the photoshoot. It was fun to finally get the boys together! I got some really good ones of Bill by himself. He is really an amazing doll, so photogenic! I got some hilarious ones of bill and tom on their new vespa! Yes, Vespa! And some of Tom and Willow too! I need to photoshop those though to finalize a picfic I will probably post over at Pullip Fiction and perhaps at DG Requims site if there is any action over there. I am getting hungry now just thinking about Chinese! I did'nt see the new shots of Hello Kitty! Can you bring them over here? | |

| Glad you got to check out my little Pic Fic on flickr. That sure was fun! The little Vespa was such a cute prop for 7.00, I could'nt pass it up! Tom and Willow look really good together don't they? I need to decide which site I will post it on today.
Yes, Hello Kitty is cute, but the wig looks cheap-especially for the price of the doll. I know eventually I will have to rewig Caprice because her wig like that one is not going to hold up well over time. I do plan to keep her mainly in her stock though, so that may help a bit.

| Hi! Oh what a day! First off, mom calls at 7:30 AM and says dad is going to go by ambulance to the hospital and get ready to go there. I'm running around getting ready and she calls back - wait! Super low blood sugar. Got it up and seems better so maybe no hospital. So I just got ready, put pork roast in crock pot, made all the veggies and bread so that if I did have to go dinner would be all ready for my guys. So far looks like he won't be going to the hospital today. We just finished dinner. I've been doing housework. Eric has left for work. So maybe a quiet evening. I tell you it is so upsetting all these calls about going to the hospital. I need everything to be OK with them tomorrow as I have to go for that consultation and x- rays for the gum surgery. So cross fingers and say prayers for ALL of us tomorrow! It is in the 80s here! Such unbelievable weather for late October here. Sunny and quite breezy! Very strong gusts. We've had so many windy days here this past week. But, the colors are gorgeous! Yes, Hello Kitty is pretty expensive, but she is one of those special and more limited ones right? At least that's the way I understand it from Shana's post about doing splits on her. If I ever get her I would rewig her in a dark brunette wig anyway. I have lots of blondes! Her wig looks just like Uncanricky's except more blonde. I do love her coloring though. Yes, your pic-fic is so fun and the pix are great! The Vespa is adorable and perfect for them and the story. Wish I could photo-shop! I wouldn't have had to buy posters for the Flynn and Nat love story!! That's OK, I will enjoy the lovely posters when I hang them up! I know Dymphna does some fun stuff with the tools on Flickr. Maybe some day I will learn how to do the Flickr thing. Well, I got an email that Claire has shipped. They say it could take anywhere from 7 to 21 days to get here from overseas. Well, it usually takes about 17 days to get my packages from Magma, and that's about how long it took Anisa to get here, so I am used to the long wait. I have to leave pretty early tomorrow - 9:30 AM, because where I am having the surgery done is about 45 mins away. After the appointment I am going to Best Buy to get Justin a cell phone like the one we got Eric for his graduation. Now that he and his friends are driving, and some of them have their own cars, he is out a lot more and further away. We get in touch with each other via his friends phones, which really isn't fair to his friends, so since Best Buy has the phone on sale this week might as well get him his own. Man, how did moms get thru teens driving before cell phones?! I would be a wreck if he couldn't call me if something happened or he needed something. Especially when he is on the long, dark and winding country roads at night. After Best Buy I will stop at Wal-Mart for Halloween goodies for all the kids! The Holidays are fast upon us!!Than get my butt home in time for the after school daycare kids. It will be a run around day! Well, I hope you and all reading had a gorgeous Sunday!! Later~ Oh! We are on our second thread for "Dolls"!! Cool! But I didn't see how it happened! I was still in the first thread when I typed the post | |

Glad your Dad did'nt have to go to the hospital tonight! What a relief! Glad you had a nice din-din all ready too!
Sounds like you have an action packed day tomorrow...hope all goes well at the Dentist!
Take care, I have to get those 2 wigs packaged up tonight and check out some stuff for the Italy trip.
Talk to you manana! Maybe later in the day since you won't be home!

When I started my last post I was on page 72 and when I went to post it said "The thread is locked" and my post showed up on page 8 of the new Doll Thread. Is that not what it says for you? Thankfully tomorrow is only a consultation so at least no pain tomorrow!! At least not until they tell me what it will cost! Congrats on selling both wigs! Did you get the PM about the new board for buying/selling called "Dolly Market". I am so glad we have a new place to go for that! Good night!

| FC I love your new doll. She is so pretty! BTW My son got wind I was ordering a wig for my doll. He is ready to committ me now. Heh. He is soooo mortified because some friends of mine are having a Halloween Party this weekend. We are going to dress our dogs up and have a contest. He is about to die because I bought costumes for my border collies. He just kept saying "let's not do that".
I hope you don't have much trouble with your surgery. It took me about a week to get over me gum graphs. Plus I looked like someone hit me. I never take medicine so when I took that Lortab for pain it made me very sick. So just be careful.

And she also bought two dog costumes for the dogs so they can go to Halloween party. All of that sounds like what a bunch of old ladies in New Jersey would do. | I don't know which my boys roll their eyes at more - my love for dolls, or my love for Clay Aiken! I can't believe you did get a PM Luca? I thought it was like a mass PM or something. Here is a link to the site: http://dollmarket.phpbbweb.com/ It appears to be only for BST, which is great, and so far most, if not all, the members are from PS. Dymphna is there, Lawdeda and lots of the posters who sold at PS. What a relief that we have that back! The seller I got my nude J-Doll from is selling Hello Kitty nude for a really fair price considering what she goes for in her stock. NO, I am not buying her! Wasn't even tempted. Nope, not me. No way. Not at all Well, I got back a few mins ago from the consultation and errands. Got Justin his cell phone, and lots of Halloween treats for the kiddies. I came away from the consultation pretty pleased actually. The doctor doing the surgery is the main doctor there and he has done some of my root canals and I like him very much! He said it is not a bad abscess. He feels I only need Novocaine and not the stronger stuff that can cause rapid heart rates. He says I will not feel a thing during the procedure. It should be over in 45 mins. same as a regular root canal. I can drive myself home, but once home I should go to bed and rest and try to lay low a couple days. So I made the appointment for Friday Nov. 2nd. He said I can wait that long and if I were to develop any pain to just call and he would phone in prescription for pain meds and antibiotics. The reason I decided to do it the Friday after Halloween instead of this Friday is because he did warn me my face may swell up and get black and blue. Also that even though I won't feel anything during the procedure, I will probably have pain afterwards for about a week. I have a daycare Halloween party on Tues. the 30th and lots of neighbors will be coming over on Halloween with there kids. Also former daycare kids that live in the neighborhood but still dress-up always come and see me. So I didn't want to be swollen, bruised and in pain for Halloween and their visits. The doc did say he will be giving me meds for after the surgery as I will need them. Both pain meds and antibiotics. More good news, the surgery is only $795! I was so sure it was going to be way more than that. I have to pay $159 the day of the surgery and than see how much the dental ins. pays. So not too bad. Luca, that boy is amazing! Sadly for me that is the big issue with the BJDs. By the time I would add the face-up, wig and clothes it would be so very expensive. At least with the BJDs they are bigger than what my little $100 Claire will be! I have decided I am just going to love her, and fib when people ask what I paid for her Eta: I just checked that site again and the price for Hello Kitty is a bid Not a BIN. That is the only nude I have seen that seller do that with. It will be interesting to see how much she goes for

| What a cool shot of Butler and Nero (Love her dress!)...he is the best looking Taeyang IMO. I would get him, but I have Bill who is about as drool worthy. I think Missionary is the next best Taeyang, then Lead, then Cavalie. So you have most of the top, hot guys now FC! I do like that new one that is coming out too, but no more Taeyangs for me. The next boy I get will be a BJD. They are just fascinating to me. I guess I would rather have one or two really pricey ones vs. lots of less pricey ones, that is where you and I differ in our collecting styles. That makes it more interesting and fun though that we do it differently, yet both enjoy sharing the journey together.
Sorry to hear you are going to have our procedure soon too Aerwin. But, at least you two can commiserate together! Glad to hear it is not going to be as extensive as it could be FC!

With that new BST site you can't post a pic until you have been registered 5 days. You might want to register so if you want to sell stuff to get more BJDs you can post pix there.

| Good idea! I probably won't try to sell anything else until I return from italy though. Only two weeks and 2 days.... that would be stressing me out too much to worry about selling stuff and shipping it this close to the trip.
I may have to sell some jewlery or something big to get my next one though. Doll wigs and clothes don't add up very fast unless you sell stock sets. Although I may sell Willow's stock in the near future....we shall see! I do have a small diamond I may sell if the right doll comes along. I never wear the ring, so why not put it to use? I wonder what the best way to go about selling it would be?

I do have a gorgeous wedding set and my mom gave me her first wedding set (since dad gave her a new set for their 25th ann.) and I turned my diamond set from my first marriage into a beautiful cocktail ring. Now I just need the earrings and tennis bracelet to match! (fat chance ) But hey, I wonder how many dolls I could get if I sold the cocktail ring?? It's actually worth about $3,000 or more. It's really beautiful though! Hmm, my folks and friends would really think I had lost it! Hi Frazz! I wondered what happened! Glad you are safe and OK!
