| Well, at least they didn't tell us to check out her sex tape I'm sorry but I find this celebrity rehab thing in very poor taste. This is just such a serious and personal matter that I cannot believe they have turned this into a reality show. That interview where she rips so many of her fellow AIers just turned me off on her big time. I feel sorry for her that she is such a mess and in such trouble, but man she made it hard to like her with that interview. | |

| I agree the rehab schitck is in poor taste, but Jessica needs the gig right now I guess. - Quote :
- That's my biggest problem with the Taylor thing Abrahammy. He won that season and they didn't make any effort to support their winner. It makes no sense to have a show that is suppose to be about "the winner America picked" and than just go ahead and support who "they" wanted and kick the winner to the curb. It sucks. They have every right to support more than one contestant if they so choose, but give the the same or more support to the winner. Otherwise the whole premise of the show is lost.
Exactly. That is why I am done with AI, and have no interest in watching it anymore. It is a joke and a travesty. But, I do agree Tay's personality and charisma is what I enjoyed the most about him. Maybe Tay did'nt listen to Clive on how to cash in and picked the noncommercial songs to record, or maybe it is as it seems that he was not the chosen one, so they did'nt get behind him. I just don't think he was quite good enough to hit it big myself. I am stunned in disbelief that C~ had an appearance on Paula Dean's show. How and why did he get booked on that show???????

| Luca, all I know is it was a celebrity episode and Marcia Brady was on it. Not sure who else since I didn't watch it but for a couple of minutes. News on Jessica. - Quote :
- It's back to rehab for former "American Idol" finalist Jessica Sierra. The singer appeared in court Monday morning (January 7) in Tampa, Florida, and pleaded no contest to charges of disorderly intoxication and obstruction of an officer, which prompted Judge Daniel Perry to reluctantly agree to send her to rehab for a year.
The Tampa Tribune reported that Perry sentenced Sierra to spend the next year at the Pasadena Recovery Center in Pasadena, California — a facility he had reservations about because it has hosted TV programs in the past. He was concerned that Sierra might use the stint as a means of boosting her career, the paper reported.
"I don't want this to be some steppingstone for her to have a career as a recovering addict," Perry said.
Sierra's sentence also includes two years of probation, stemming from an incident on December 1 at a bar in Ybor City, Florida, during which the singer allegedly got into a heated confrontation with bar personnel and police after she was ejected from the bar. Perry also prohibited Sierra from doing any interviews or appearing on TV during her recovery, including any promotional spots for the upcoming reality show, "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew," which debuts on VH1 this Thursday.
The host of that program, Dr. Drew Pinsky, an addiction specialist, spoke on Sierra's behalf during the brief court appearance, according to the paper, telling the judge that the "low level" treatment she received on the reality show was not enough to deal with her level of addiction, but that a yearlong stint in treatment would give her a better chance for recovery. A spokesperson for the courts did not return calls for comment at press time and Sierra's lawyer, John Fitzgibbons, could also not be reached for comment.
During the December arrest, Sierra, 22, was ejected from the Full Moon Saloon and, after confronting patrons on the street, allegedly became combative with police as they tried to arrest her, calling the officers names, vomiting in the police car, yelling racial slurs and offering sexual favors in exchange for her release, according to an arrest report.
The arrest violated Sierra's probation from an incident in April of last year, which resulted in charges of cocaine possession and felony battery, after she allegedly hit a bar patron in the head with a glass; she also pleaded no contest in that incident. Tampa TV station WTSP reported that Perry warned Sierra that if she doesn't follow the rules of the rehab center she will be brought back to Florida and put in prison for a year.
Pinsky said that Sierra had already completed her portion of the "Rehab" show before the December arrest, and he described her as a "courageous" patient, who had been "on the street" doing drugs before she sought treatment. He also said the singer, who is pregnant with her first child by a man she has only described as "a rapper," made some "very poor choices" during her drug-using phase, including a video the paper said he described as "symptomatic of her addiction." Pinsky and Sierra reportedly discuss the video — which TMZ has reported is a sex tape — on the show.
In a preview of the VH1 show screened by the Tribune on the day before Sierra's sentencing, the paper described a scene from the second episode of "Rehab" during which Sierra breaks down in tears while discussing her mother's death from a drug overdose while the singer was auditioning for "Idol." During the group therapy session, Sierra talks about how she hates her mother for abandoning her, doing drugs and becoming a prostitute and becomes so upset after revealing the information that she becomes desperate for a drink, saying she would have "chewed the alcohol swabs" at the facility if she could have.

| Loveline! Yep, I remember. Did he say he played "skin flute" there, too? I remember reacting with huge EWWWs to whatever it was he said.
For those not in the know, when Constantine was still pushing the Nice Greekboy Image he went on a sex talk radio show (I believe it was GIddle who set it up) and talked about all sorts of graphically described sexual things.
Afterwards people on various boards (not necessarily GS, I don't think I was signed up there at that point) insisted that either it was an impostor posing as him, or that he was reading somebody else's script and would surely be plenty mad once he heard the interview, or...it was his allergies...or an alien invasion...because they were CERTAIN he was a VIRGIN waiting for a nice girl (just like them).

| Oh, GS was DEFINITELY up and running when it aired and if you look back it'll just be pages and pages of squee.
As a matter of fact, he came off as a sweet innocent GB. He sounded appropriately sarcastic when a girl called up with something disgusting and seemed unclear about what a butt plug was. He was the opposite of the asshole who said the skin flute comment. We all thought he was sweet and adorable and the people who missed it were really really upset. The stayed and talked with Rodney on the Roq (who introduced his show at Key Club). Rodney is an institution here in L.A.
It was most definitely a Giddle thing. He's the only guest I've ever heard stay on with Rodney.

Very cute, sexy man....*fans self* Fraz, yes I remember when sweet, innocent, virgin GB went on Dr. Drew's show. I vaguely remember the backlash on the boards, but do recall all the massive squeeing about how nice and sweet he was to try and talk a young teen out of getting her vag pierced or something....

| I saw this one coming. But, it looks like it will all work out for Kat. I know David Foster loves her!! - Quote :
- Katharine McPhee: the latest Idol to go indie
Another Idol label deal bites the dust. Hollywood Insider has learned that Katharine McPhee is the latest former contestant to part ways with her record company. Like season 2 winner Ruben Studdard and season 5 champ Taylor Hicks, who were signed to J and Arista Records, respectively, a rep for RCA Records confirms that McPhee is no longer on the label's roster, adding that, "Katharine is going to record her next album on her own." McPhee’s self-titled debut charted at a promising No. 2 in February 2007, but it never reached gold status. Sources close to McPhee complain the label didn’t support the album — but Idol Phatigue seems to have conquered McPheever. Still, she shouldn’t lose all hope: The singer, who is managed by Guy Oseary, makes her first feature-film appearance (opposite Anna Faris) in I Know What Boys Like later this year, and we hear she's already in talks with another label.
As for this recent spate of Idol exits (we double-checked, and deals for Clay Aiken and Fantasia are still intact), a rep for the RCA Music Group (which includes Arista, RCA, and J Records) tells Insider, “After six seasons, we are proud of the eight artists on the roster who started their careers on the show. With respect to Taylor, we have an understanding that he will come back to us to play music once he’s finished writing his new material.”

| Kat is one of the most beautiful people I've ever seen, and I've seen her in person and can attest to her beauty.
Her singing was pretty, but not at all interesting. As Foster said, she went for pretty rather than telling a story through her song. Once again, once people stopped seeing her every week, they quickly lost interest.
I think she should do TV and movies first and if she's good, then pursue the singing. Maybe after getting acting lessons, she'll be able to put something into her songs. Who knows.
There are people who make it on looks alone, but don't have a good voice (Britney, J-HO) but know how to ENTERTAIN. I'll throw Madonna in there as the one who really started it. Decent voice, AMAZING and interesting performer. They put on a variety show when they perform. Kat only had a pretty voice and basically just stood there and sang. If your voice isn't interesting, you'd better put on a show!

| I am posting this here, even though I would like to post it in Clay's thread since it proves how reporters will purposely leave out parts of an interview to make the artist look bad. Chris is pissed, and I don't blame him. I know he is taking a lot of heat for "his comments". Don't believe for a minute that the good things you said Chris were NOT left out on purpose! Welcome to Clay's world Chris! AND it will only happen again and again. If Clay responded every time the media did this to him he wouldn't have time to star on Broadway or work on his CD or tour Chris's reponse! - Quote :
- In response to an article posted by Rolling Stone, Chris Daughtry sets the record straight:
"It's so sad that when you're asked something and you answer honestly....you're made out to be the bad guy. Yes, I'm referring to the Rolling Stone post. The funny thing is, if you heard the whole conversation you would've heard all the good things I said about the show as well. Like for instance: How it's an amazing platform to launch a career....."If you take it seriously!!!!" Let's not forget I was a struggling artist for 11 years that never got any respect or notoriety so know that I'm eternally grateful for the opportunity that Idol gave me. And that's where my comments came from. It all started when the interviewer (who was great by the way) asked me where the "Idol stigma everyone talks about" comes from. Ya know....the reason people never take anyone from the show serious in the real world and why people say "oh they came from AI, they're not real artists." So, I answered that I don't feel that enough "artists" try out for the show because of how many people they focus on that are obviously there for comedic and entertainment value. And when you focus enough on people that aren't serious about it then it's hard for the audience to take you as an artist serious. And it's also hard as a potential contestant to think it's a good way to get seen because you're afraid of being made a joke of. I also said I think it's AWESOME that they are letting the contestants play their own instruments and that I feel that will show something in the contestants that people (the audience) never get to see....but that wasn't printed. My long winded point is this....I was never trying to "DISS" the show or "BITE THE HAND THAT FED ME" so to speak. I was simply giving my input on what I think would spice the show up a bit. Sorry for being honest. God bless!-Chris"

I totally agree with that statement. For example , the guy that came in with the belly dancing costume. They knew he was not a singer. Total waste of time. I would like to see more of the good auditions. Then when the Hollywood rounds start they would be somewhat familar.

| I agree, but sadly these bad audition shows get them higher ratings than the regular season. As long as TPTB think they will get huge ratings with the bad auditions they will keep them coming. They start the season earlier and run more nights of bad auditions each year just because of the ratings. | |

| I've heard people say that they stop watching once they narrow it down to the top 10. That they find the embarrassing stuff much more interesting. People want to be entertained, and watching a parade of really good singers is not interesting. They are an entity and they have to fill all that time. The ads are selling for WAY more than they pay for even Grey's Anatomy. There's no way they'll just show the good singers.
While I agree that making stars out of Mr. "She Bangs" loses them some credibility, the fact that these people were singing in their bedroom one day and the next they're a platinum-selling recording artist, can get others a bit testy. I do agree about letting people who have been toiling at this (like Chris did) into the top 10 would give much more credibility and make people resent the winners a bit less.

In De Goot's website
It looks like they work mainly with rock and indie acts so this should be a perfect fit for good ol' Bo.
