| Nice review for Josh! - Quote :
- Billboard album review:
We Weren't Crazy JOSH GRACIN Producer(s): Marty Williams, Brett James Genre: COUNTRY Label: Lyric Street
Before Carrie Underwood and other "American Idol" alumni came to Nashville, season-two finalist Josh Gracin helped prove reality show stars could find a home in country music. But after scoring three top five singles, including 2005 No. 1 "Nothin' to Lose," Gracin struggled to reconnect at radio, and his second album has been long in coming. Now on the strength of a coming-of-age title cut, fans will be happy to know this solid follow-up is at hand. "Favorite State of Mind" stands out for its sheer energy, while "Livin' It Up," which includes the much-used line "I can sleep when I die," has an '80s rock feel. And the simply written "Unbelievable (Ann Marie)," which Gracin penned for his wife, might be this decade's "Amazed." —Ken Tucker You can listen to it here: http://www.wctq.com/cc-common/mfeatures/joshgracinSP/

| I'm surprised to read about Elliot's mom's death. I'll have to check it out. I don't think she was all that old. | |

| I read about Claudette Yamin's passing on another fanboard. Wow, I didn't even know she was ill.
Prayers going out to Elliott and all his family and friends at this sad time.

| Oh man. I was in the audience that season sitting right behind his mom. When they said he was safe, I gave his mom the thumbs up and she was just beaming with pride. I'm so glad I shared that moment with her. Sorry to hear about her passing, but I'm glad that she got to see her son succeed before she did. | |

| From Elliott's Official Board: - Quote :
- I am at a loss for words...
This evening Claudette Yamin passed away.
The world lost a beautiful soul.
I can't go into any details at this time except to say that she went peacefully.
Elliott wanted me to let you all know, but we are asking that you please respect the family's privacy at this time.
We are all aware of your prayers, and we thank you.
In lieu of sending flowers, we ask that donations be sent to the local chapter of the Richmond JDRF.
Thanks again for all your support and prayers..it's helped us through the day

| Some new music/videos from past AI contestants. This one is Josh Gracin's new single/video. Very good country song. I love the meaning. His beautiful wife and children are in the video and lots of clips from their lives. Very nice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oOb17Gx3Tg This one is Jon Peter Lewis's new single/video. I was not a fan of his at all, but this is a really nice song and he sounds really good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RrO6-SWGYk You can watch Constantine sing "Girl Like You" at The Greek Parade here: He actually sounds really good, especially the second half of the song. He comes across very nice in the little interview afterwards. I do wish he wouldn't stick his face into the camera so much. Constantine Greek Parade | |

: ) I was across the street while it was being filmed. Trust me when I tell you the camera went after him a few times!! Hard to believe, yes, I know, but I saw it myself. I guess it was too tempting! It was a fun day all in all at the Greek Parade yesterday. Freezing, but fun. I always liked Josh Gracin. So glad he is having the success he is! I haven't watched the John Peter Lewis' yet, but he has really hung in there the last few years. Good for him!

| How cool that you went to the parade! I'm sure it was lots of fun and good food!
I am not too into country music. I like some of it just fine - the more country rock type songs. I do like Carrie's first CD, but I have not bought her second one yet. I haven't heard any songs that make me want to buy it, like Before He Cheats, which got me to buy the first one.
So I wish Josh well, it is just not a CD I want to buy. It is a lovely little video though and a nice song.
JPL has got to be putting this music out on his own or a very indie label. I mean who ever hears or sees him? That is a really good song though - I think so anyway.

| BTW - no food at all at the parade! We had to walk about 3 streets down to find a restaurant and we just lucked out that they had the best spinach pie ever there. | |

| Hi Lau, we also walked up to the parade expecting to find some Greek food, which I love, and were disappointed that there weren't any booths. I didn't catch C's performance, but enjoyed the parade.
What was the name of the restaurant where you found the good spinach pie? I won't have time to go there this time, but I'll put it on the list for the next time!
I have Josh's first CD and will probably pick up this next one. Country is not what I listen to generally, but I like his music. I think he and his team have done a great job in selecting songs that fit his voice.

| Glad you enjoyed the parade, Janice.
The restaurant was called Neil's Coffee Shop. It's on the corner of Lexington and 70th. It has a good general menu; its like a diner. But we were definitely looking for Greek food yesterday, so it fit the bill.

Spinach Pie meaning Spanikopita? I make the best!!! It's my favorite Greek dish as well as Tyropita. The recipe I have is handed down from my Mother-In-Law.

Hmmmm...I don't know if that's an understatement as much as...an outright lie. "...intellectually curious"....GB is more "intellectually curious". (OMG! I just realized they're BOTH GB!!!! I need to stay away from those initials!) "the president sometimes misspeaks" is the understatement of the century. Oh...and... MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

| TMZ actually did a good job with that footage. I don't know if they meant to pay him a compliment, but they did by featuring the part about him talking about shooting the pilot. The shy thing, well, just because someone talks about what they are doing doesn't negate that they might have some shyness about them. But I have to agree with you FC, the clip was funny in some ways. Honestly, C was probably happy it turned out that way.
He does the best he can in these situations. The guy that was interviewing, Henry, is from celebrities.com. I've seen a few times he's filmed Con and I think they have a good rapport. It seems like Con wanted to give Henry the initial scoop on this pilot.
I wish Constantine the very best of luck with his new venture.

| I know Henry and Con have a good rapport. Henry seemed very fond of Con after he got the boot. It's just the girl totally cracks me up! Also, I just don't get how he doesn't know anything about the pilot Don't the actors get any info about a show before they book a pilot? Does an agent just call and say "they want you for a pilot" and the actor knows nothing else? Weird. Sorry, but I have never believed that Con is shy. I just don't. That part is an act - IMHO. Nothing about him seems shy to me. Not anyone who LOVES the camera on them that much. I just do not see a shy man. Unless he and I have completely different ideas about what it is to be shy. | |

| It is possible to get booked for a PART on a pilot without knowing too much about it (except for that the part is for a greasy singer, say). No way would he be one of the stars and not know anything about it, such as genre.
I'm shy too, though not quite as shy as Constantine..
