| Here is the new resin doll Julia by Goodreau - The American BJD company. I so love her! She is $310 nude and bald, but with her face done like this. They come with the lashes too. She is so beautiful! With wig and dress! Here is their new elf girl! Also so pretty! They now have boy resin dolls too! They are OK. I wish they made them in vinyl. I am soooooooooo close to cancelling ALa and getting a Goodreau Vinyl Rumor. I found a site that sells her dressed and with wig (they all come with face-up) for $160 shipped. If I cancel ALa and sell one or two dolls that would pay for her. My hesitation is the vinyl are only 15 inches and cannot wear the clothes or shoes of the other 1/4 BJDs. So I don't know what clothes options would be out there for her. As much as I love Julia I just don't know if I could pay $310, plus wig, plus clothes, plus shipping for one doll I mean she would come to over $400 But, I really do think she is beautiful! ETA: Holy Crap!! I found a site that would sell me Rumor with the green eyes like I want so badly for her to have! $120 nude. Here is a pic of Rumor with green eyes! Different wig! My other choice is Innuendo with blue eyes and you can get her with blue eyes at the site, which is my second choice, and you know how important getting the eye color I want is! This one is Whisper. You can get her with blue eyes. She is pretty, but I don't know about the teeth | |

| Wow! What a great deal! The Goodreau company makes some really cute clothes for their dolls and some MSD clothes will fit the 15 inch dolls for sure. Also there is a 16" vinyl doll by the name of Ellowyne that should fit the 15 inch Goodreau doll as well, so I think you would have plenty of choices on clothes and shoes are about the same as in the Pullip world...limited selection and not cheap!
My fav Goodreau molds are the Julia and the Rumor for sure. Both are very, very nice. I am really of no use for discouraging you into the BJD world now am I?

| Ha! I didn't think you would be I have wanted Rumor since before Xmas. But I really wanted her with the green eyes. I feared being disappointed if she arrived with different eyes. I mean I'm sure she would be really pretty no matter the eye color, but I really want the green eyes. My Rhian and Isis have gorgeous blue eyes and Winda has amazing brown eyes, so I would really like to have the green eyes! With shipping ALa is $85 so cancelling her goes a long way toward the nude Rumor. I could sell Neora for $50 with a pretty outfit. Maybe sell Didi to cover the wig and an outfit. I hate to cancel ALa - she is probably one of the prettiest Pullips, but I think I just might do this. I will give it some more though. I will have to check out Ellowyne. When I Googled Goodreau BJDs and followed all the links, I ended up in a thread at DOA about them. People wanted to talk about them but the Admin decided they didn't qualify for their board. The admin encouraged people to buy them, but that they couldn't be discussed on DOA I would never belong at that board. They are so Doll Snooty!! | |

| I know about the snooty factor. I just don't get it either. I think the Goodreau dolls are just as nice as the Bobobie dolls. But, since they are not "resin" then they can't be there. Totally ridiculous. Would you try to sell neora and didi on Flickr and Requiem? | |

| They won't let the Resin ones be discussed there either because they look too much like fashion dolls But like several of the posters there stated - for some they are the ones they can afford. That would be me I was thinking Dolly Market (which seems to have more success) and Requiem. I never got into figuring Flickr out I hate to sell the doll named Didi, but she is one of the less interesting ones. She is very pretty, but I have Pullips I couldn't part with. Maybe I should sell my J-Dolls? Oh jeez - my head has been so turned by that pretty little Rumor with green eyes The J-Dolls are so pretty, but after getting my GORGEOUS Hestias and maybe a Rumor, I think the J-Dolls will take a back seat. Thanks so much for telling me about that doll! There are a ton of outfits for her! Some very reasonably priced! I never heard of heard of her before | |

| My husband always says the same thing about me selling stuff to get another one...he likes that much better than just spending more! Those fairy dresses are really cool, and so is the blue gown-too bad I have'nt seen any fairy dresses for sale without the doll. Those Ellowynes are'nt cheap either are they?.... Pru has gotten very greedy though. I got that JPOP wig I ordered today and tried it on her...and you would not believe how perfect it looks with the gypsy outfit. I will sure never regret getting her...She still is such a fun doll to have. She is just so verstile and classic. Her plain monochromatic face-up is so perfect for easily changing wigs, outfits, lashes to get a different look. Poor Mohana isn't going to get anything if this trend continues.... | |

| Ha! That's what I was thinking while reading your post! Poor Mo She needs to get home and grab her stuff before Pru can get at it! Yes, that is the nice thing about the simple face-up, the versatility. Except she looks far too sweet to pull off being a lady of the evening in any of your stories . Not that you would ever write a story with a lady of the evening! Yes, those fairy dresses were part of the custom dolls, but there must be someone out there who makes beautiful fairy dresses to buy. The custom painted dolls were $285. I think I saw some place (I was at so many doll sites last night ) that sold the doll without the custom face-up for $115 or so. They are pretty and quite a nice size, but I don't like that they just have the painted on eyes like a Barbie. For that price and up I want acrylic eyes. That said, for people who don't care about that - those dolls up there are quite pretty. Yeah, there really is no other way to justify ordering Rumor now unless I cancel ALa and sell off a couple of dolls. I will feel bad writing Shana and canceling, and I do think ALa is gorgeous, but even after I sell off a couple of Pullips I still have several beautiful ones. I know I will always keep my Haute LA, Nero, Papin, Sage, Filato and Cavalie. 3 couples! I just feel like it is the way to get my toe in the door of the BJD world. I have the opportunity to get her with the eyes I want, and adding wig and an outfit would put her at a little over $200 shipped. That is half what I would pay for a resin BJD with wig and clothes. So I think I would like to take a chance and go for her. If the resin Goodreau dolls take off who knows how long they will continue to sell the vinyl. What if they stopped selling them and all I could ever find were resin dolls? This weekend is quite busy. Today mom and I are going to pick out an urn and keepsake urn and go out to lunch and some shopping. Rob is spending the day with Dad. Tomorrow will be housework, laundry and cooking. So hopefully one day this week I can start the process of selling some dolls. I think I will just ask $50 plus shipping for Neora. She is in perfect condition. Maybe only $45 for Didi. I paid Magma $55 plus shipping for her, but I did remove her wig (which is perfect and I will include it of course) and of course she has the staining on her hands that all Crazzia's have. I will be happy with $45. I may put Lead and Missoinary up for sale too. Missionary is gorgeous - but I would still have a beautiful blond boy with Luca. I wish I could keep them all and still get Rumor, but dang it we ain't rich . Hope you have a beautiful day! We have sunny skies, no wind and it is suppose to be 29 degrees! Heat wave!! (you know - a part of me can't believe I am thinking of selling any of my dolls, but to be honest, after getting the Hestias (man they are gorgeous) my others are starting to pale in comparison. Sad but true I feel like a bad mommy. I mean they are all still beautiful, but the Hestias look like works of art so I can only imagine that the BJDs look even more so. Like I said, I feel like I am betraying them. Turning them in for prettier models ) | |

Now you know exactly how I have felt! There is this turning point where you just know it is what you have to do when you realize the comparison and start to really prefer the others. I have now come to realize it is just part of the growing process with the hobby. I think your prices sound right on for the dolls you want to sell. I would post the for sale threads at Pullip Fiction too, there are some really nice people over there too that I know are looking for some nude dolls in that price range. I had to show you this cute photo of Mal in Cavalie's boots...He so rocks! The most beautiful wig I own...it was made for this outfit and this girl. I have a feeling Mo will look wonderful in it too though... The new Bill owner's photos...! http://www.flickr.com/photos/billdoll/2286040006/in/set-72157603965096977/

| First, Mal looks so freaking cute!! You have really dressed him perfect for his character! Second, very cool wig! What is the color name? It does look perfect with that dress! Oh, and I never tire of seeing your AMAZING views!! Third, thanks for the link to Bill and Aimee pix! So cute! Bill still truly amazes me! What a gorgeous doll! I can tell his new owner is just so happy and proud! Fourth, I will have to see if I have a link to Pullip Fiction and if I belong. I do not have much feedback as a seller (just a little from you) so I hope people trust me. Fifth, I do feel a bit bad about selling them, but I really want the chance to get this green eyed Rumor (since this is the only site that stated you can get that eye color for sure) and there just isn't any other way to justify another doll right now other than to let some go. But I honestly think I will be happy with that decision. I KNOW which doll I am going to buy, I just need to find the right wig and outfit. Sixth, mom and I had a great lunch at Bennigans! We got the grilled chicken spinach salad! Totally awesome salad!! Then we went to Lowes and Meijers. Then we picked up some Chinese food for Rob and my Dad. While Rob and Dad ate downstairs, Mom and I took my laptop upstairs and picked out a gorgeous urn and keepsake urn. It is black and gold and will be engraved. The weather was really nice. Super sunny and calm winds making it feel warmer than it really was. Then Rob and I went for a little ride out in the country (more country than us even ) and that was really nice. Rob said my dad slept most of the 3 hours my mom and I were gone. Talked very little. Perhaps because of the morphine. He has been asking for some more often, which bothers my mom because she thinks he doesn't want it for breathing but for how it makes him feel and makes him sleep. Rob brought his laptop with so that he would have something to do while Dad was sleeping and we were gone. So other then Dad being a little too sleepy to visit, it was a really lovely day! | |

| So glad you and your Mom had such a lovely time. I bet that was so therapeutic for her and you. The weather here is really starting to change for the better too. I just got back from taking the dog for a walk and it was glorious-sunny and warm! The color of the wig is French Ink I think...it is the most gorgeous color I think I have ever seen. It is different shades of violet and lavender. It matches Pru's eyes. I must try to get some more good photos of her in the wig sometime. I got it for 14.00 too! There is nothing better than a good deal in dollie land...except scoring the tickets of a lifetime for reasonable prices too! I am getting nervous that I will not have any proper clothing for Mo when she arrives...there is a vintage grey and pink gown on Ebay that I am going to bid on and I am going to try to rework it into something appropriate for an Elf witch with embellishments and stuff. It is so funny how similar we are evolving in the doll hobby. It truely is such a learning and evolving process. You totally are where I was at when I started getting into BJD's. I am going to warn you...they are even more addicting than Pullips. They have even more presence and character. They are very impressive...you will know what I mean when you get one. Which one will it be do you think? Well, I better go shower and throw together a quick dinner. Some friends gave us some theater tickets to Hairspray tonight. It is an off broadway production, but should be fun. My friend has the flu and was too sick to go. TTYL! | |

| Oh, that sounds like so much fun going to see Hairspray!! We haven't been to a musical production for a long time. Not Rob's thing sadly. I think Caberet was the last one we saw. I thought he might go for that one I am getting the Vinyl Rumor with green eyes. At both Dolly Market and Requiem there are posters with WTB for nude Nomado, Lead and Missionary I PM'd the one on Requiem tonight because she is a heavy poster at PS and I thought I would give her first shot. She posted her WTB on Feb. 18th, so who knows if she is still interested. If I do not hear from her sometime tomorrow then I will PM the gal on Dolly Market. Where did you buy the wig from? I am not really finding what I want at JPOP or CanCan. Maybe I will have to hit evilbay Catch ya later! Can't wait to hear all about Hairspray! Oh, but sorry your friend is sick | |

| I'm back from my first Broadway show! I guess if it says "National" tour it is not off Broadway. It was fantastic too! My husband is not a movie musical fan, but he really liked this! I have not seen the movie Hairspray, but this was so entertaining! The level of talent was really impressive. The singing, dancing, sets, and costumes were all top notch! Looking at the cast credits, it does appear that for many of the young actors this is their first national show. There were a few experienced performers like Natalie Perkins who has been in Aida, Ragtime, and Jasmine-and that woman had an unbelievable voice. It truely is amazing how these people can project their voices and be dancing vigorously while singing...it is so great to see real talent like this. So many of these people are so above what we see on American idol. These professionally trained actors with theater degrees and tons of performing experience are truely gifted.
I got the wig off the JPop site on Ebay in a size 6-7 and it is a very snug fit on Pru's head.
I don't think it is going to take much effort to sell your dolls. I find if they are priced fairly and you throw in a little something- the dolls move quickly. That is the one nice thing about Pullips is there is still lots of interest out there for them, and the new ones are getting so expensive. Selling a nude one for less than 50.00 is a bargin for most Pullip collectors and very desireable.
Talk to you tomorrow! I'm pooped!

| Good morning! I am so glad that you guys enjoyed the show! I have seen several national tour productions and yes, the talent is amazing! But I think that is suppose to be the difference with Idol. It is suppose to be about young people who have not been able to get the breaks or educated in the theater. That is why the show is "under fire" this year - because there are contestants with experience and a lot of people feel that is where the show has lost it's charm. Me? I just love finding "new voices" to appreciate. I don't care if they are total novices or somewhat experienced as long as they entertain, and if they put out a good CD I will buy it I have been in PM talks with HerRoyalDemoness since the other day about her Rumor . She has given me some answers and pics. I will bring over the pix of her Rumor in a little while. She is too gorgeous!! SO - I emailed the site and asked to buy her. I am waiting to hear. I have already bought a wig for her. I will also bring a pic of that. I got it from the close-out sale. It is pretty close in color to what I wanted. I also want to get her a black wig, but all the black ones I wanted were too expensive. I have decided from now on I only get the wigs marked down. The one I bought last night was $20 total with shipping. It is a 6/7 because HerRoyalDemoness says that the 7/8 are too big for Goodreau. I still have not decided on an outfit for her I may need your help on that one. I think you are right about the sale of dolls at that price. I am waiting to hear back from two girls about Lead. I have send them pix of his haircut. I hope they like him. I haven't posted about it yet, I just sent PMs to the two girls who had "WTB" for Lead and Missionary. I will be taking a loss on Lead and Missionary because I cannot ask the shipping prices that Magma did, but that is OK. Now all that matters is selling them for enough to cover Rumor, her hair and clothes. She is $120, but I do not know the shipping price yet. I will find out when she emails me back. Hope you have a beautiful day! I will be back with pix soon! ETA: OK, here is the wig. I hope you like it! Here are pix of HerRoyalDemon's Rumor she named Juno. I am just totally in love with her sweet face and eyes. AETA: EEEK! I think I just sold Lead! The poster from Dolly Market just PMd me that she wanted to buy him - loved his haircut! She asked for my Pay-Pal info (she just needs my email right?) and she will send payment when she gets home from errands. So I guess I won't call him officially sold until her payment is sent, but crossing fingers! Now, how do you get the money from Pay-Pal? Do they send you a check? Put it in your bank account? How does it work? | |

| The money just sits in the paypal account for you to spend on other items I guess it is credited to the creid card you have registered at Paypal! I use it strictly for dollie stuff. It comes in, then you will see it show up as a balance in your paypal account. They notify you when the payment is recieved from someone. There may be a way to transfer the funds to other accounts, but I have never done that. Paypal is really hard to communicate with about questions, so I never asked. Yes, you give them your email address and it will go to your paypal account. I knew you would have no problem selling your dolls! Gah, all you had to do was answer the WTB ads, that is so slick! I really do love that Rumor doll and that wig is perfect! She has such a soulful look... I have wanted one like that for a while, but they have been going for 28.00 which I also will not pay since I buy so many wigs! That is nice you have been talking to someone that owns one to get the lowdown and find out what you need to know. What persona do you see her as? That will determine the clothes. That wig has a definite old world vibe to me. I think starting out getting a gown or two would be fun! This is one I am bidding on to modify for Mohana's elf witch costume... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=110225437155&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=001 Here is my inspiration outfit: http://latidoll.com/2007_en/index.ht...&mid=7&num=897 | |

| Yes, the black one was $26 or $28, not sure. That color was in the discontinued sale so I decided it would be good and if I want a black one I will wait for one I like to go on sale. I've decided $20 shipped will be it for wigs. I am not sure about her persona. Yes, the wig does have an old world look, but I don't really see old world Goodreau outfits so I don't know what to do. I did find a Juliet Goodreau dress on one site, but I didn't think if was very nice for $64 plus shipping. Do you really think I can get 1/4 MSD Dollfie outfits and they will fit? I worry I should only get Goodreau clothes and shoes. What to do??? I will still have to advertise the others. The girl at Requiem PMed me back saying she wanted to do trades instead Not really surprised. If I gave you the name you wouldn't be either (begins with Lean....) I have noticed her going into Dolls for sale threads and asking about trades repeatedly. So this week I will have to take some nude shots and start a thread various places. If only I had decided sooner. The girl who is buying Lead also wanted a Missionary nude and bought one on Friday. Just a day late for me! Thanks for the Pay-Pal info. I will have to call and ask how it is done. If they just credit the account that is OK, but I put the Rumor on a CC with no balance and I had hoped to use the money to pay that off. I am trying to avoid any interest charges on Rumor. My Pay-Pal Buyer's Credit account has a high interest rate, and with the Hestias I have brought the balance up by over $300 That dress you are bidding on is very pretty! The second link didn't work for me. I will try it again later! Gotta run... | |

| If you post the measurements of your doll, it will help me direct you towards certain brands of clothes. Also, you can always PM sellers of items you are interested in that are not Goodreau and give the measurements of your doll if they made the item and they should be able to tell you if it will fit your doll. It sounds like your doll is very similar in size to Ellowyne. I would be curious to see how the measurements compare. Goodreau should have a website and give that info on it.

I thought it could be kinda funky too? I just thought it was so pretty for $16 and didn't really think about how it would limit her persona - of which I don't have a clue ETA: All I have been able to find is that they are 15.5 inches tall and 6/7 wig. BUT guess what! I was just at DDE and Goodreau is coming out with pets for $160 and clothes for them! If they are cute maybe I'll get one someday. They are 8 inches tall and RESIN! There will be a pig, dog, bear and others! NOW if they would just come out with a BOY Vinyl Goodreau I could have a "couple". The fact they are are coming out with pets gives me hope! Right now they just have Resin boys for $310. AETA: This is the one I am thinking of starting off with. I think she looks adorable in it.

I really like the versatility! She can wear that dress like top alone with some black stockings too which would be really cute! Or you could get a long black skirt to wear underneath it to make it old world or gothic lolita! I have an excellent resource for cute, well made lace and fishnet stockings too I will have to get you! I think it would be fun to get her a long black fur or mohair wig too...

I love that dark wig with the violet eyes too. I also love the more neutral lips on that one. I bet she is resin...just a guess. I would use one of your Pullip doll boxes if you saved them and wire him back into it with one or two of the holders. If you did'nt save aby of them, I would try to find one that size and just put bubble wrap all around the doll, going separately around the limbs and head. If using the Pullip box, I put some bubble wrap around the face and body and put him in back in the box, then I send him in a bigger box with peanuts in it. Yes, you did kind of screw up by paying for Rumor with another credit card. I guess you will have to try and talk to someone at Paypal about how to transfer funds...my guess is it is going to be a real hassle, but hopefully I am wrong for your sake. Hey, I will buy that wig from you if don't like it and want to get a black one. I would'nt pay 80.00 for that outfit and shoes, I think you should be able to find some cute outfits for her for 30.00-40.00 by shopping around Ebay. The shoes for 18.00 isn't a bad price though.
