| Thanks for the reassurance Aerwin! I know it will be worth it...and I will give a hug for you! Hubby is going to pick him up today when they say he is ready. I won't see him until I get home from work tonight. | |

| Cole made it home safe and sound. A little woozy and droopy eyed, but doing fine. I am going to hold off on feeding him until I get back from the emergency room. Yes, I had a little mishap when unloading him from the truck. I stepped down full force on a rusty nail that went into my foot. I think my last tetanus shot was about 6 years ago, so off we go. Not a good day. | |

| It only took 1 1/2 hours in the ER which was'nt too bad considering how busy it was. Got my tetanus shot and the Doc dug something out of the wound, but does'nt hurt much until I walk on it. It will be a little sore, but I can walk on my heel since the nail went in the ball of my foot. The actual wound is quite small and did'nt require stiches or anything.
Babyman just ate his late night snack of wet dog food watered down with a little water. He really enjoyed it too! I think he is going to do just fine. Keeping him from playing too much for a few days may be hard though...
Well, better hit the hay. I have a super early day tomorrow so won't be checking in until tomorrow afternoon. I may be a tad gimpy, but I am planning on going to work as usual.
Have a great day tomorrow!

| Thanks Aerwin and FC! I made it to work and everything today and the foot was just a little tender to walk on. By 3:00 though it was starting to bother me to stand, so I left work an hour early. I am seriously thinking of taking a sick day tomorrow because I have over 450 hours accumulated and to stay off the foot. Plus, my babyman is doing great and it is going to be 90+ degress outside and I would love to be home! I got my chainmaille sets today...and they are to die for!!!! The girl's set fits Mo perfectly...like it was made for her! I found out the person that made them is a young guy. He sure is a sweetie. My elfvamp boy left Shanghai China yesterday...so is on his way home! I will get an update tonight on where he is! Well, off to commune with the new and improved baby cole! He needs his mama! | |

| I think you most certainly should stay home tomorrow! You really should stay of the foot and let it heal properly and your baby needs you and you are a devoted mom!! 90+ is too hot for me! I love 60s and 70s and low 80s. After that I melt! But I am sure you and your animals will love it! How cool that your elf boy is on his way home! So glad your chainmaille outfits are just what you wanted! So it is a young man with the brain tumor? So sad I feel for him and his mom and dad. | |

| Yes, it is a boy or young man. He did the most beautiful job on the chainmaille sets... I am really quite honored to have them. He is such a charming, polite, young guy. I will post some photos on Flickr tomorrow. Yes, I need a mental health day anyway. We are going through a lot of changes in staffing at work that is kind of stressful for me. One of my colleagues went on maternity leave in April and won't be back to work until July. Another goes on maternity leave on Monday and will not return after that is over because she found another job teaching at an osteopathic medicine Medical School. A new RD will be starting in 2 weeks and we still have an intern for 3 more weeks. Oy. Makes my head spin just thinking about it. What all this means is I am the one that is the most stable, and that is always there to hold down the fort most of the time, and I need a break. 90 is too hot for me too. I much prefer mid to upper 70's and low 80's, but at least I can be home gearing up for the weekend and having a chance to get a jump on chores and just relax in the glory of my air conditioning. TTYL! | |

| Ah yes, the glory of air conditioning! Of course hubby and I do the thermostat dance every summer. I keep lowering it to make the house cooler and he keeps turning it up to keep the electric bill lower Such fun I'm glad you are staying home. REST! No housework for you today! Sounds like you have a lot of responsibility at work right now. That can indeed be very stressful. I will be gone most of the day. We are going to the church to discuss the memorial plans and how we want the table for my Dad set-up. Then we are going to the restaurant to tell them what all we want for the family style buffet. The nice thing is at this time of year we can also have fruit trays put out. The restaurant has excellent fruit trays! My boys and I have gone there for lunch sometimes just for the fruit trays and cottage cheese. Well, I should say Eric and I. Justin usually ends up getting a beef sandwich too He is my carnivore Eric and I just adore summer fruits! My heart breaks for that poor young man Well, have a wonderful day off!!!!!!! Gotta go get ready to leave! Talk to you tonight! | |

| I live in Washington State! 90's is unseasonably hot for us in May, that is more the norm for July/August. Next week is supposed to be back in the upper 70's! Yum, yum, a lovely fruit tray does sound wonderful! Aerwin, Cole is acting like nothing has happenned to him! He is so full of energy. I am going to take him for a short walk in a few minutes to give him some excercise! | |

Me too Aerwin! Cole is just the happiest guy and truely a love bucket! Who takes Tristan to the trial? I bet you do miss him,but how exciting Well ladies, my latest doll acquisition has made it to the US and through customs. I have no clue at the moment where he is, but I bet he left California today. I bet he arrives some time early next week. I ordered two pairs of eyes and lashes from DDE today and they have already shipped my order. I think I may have timed things well this go around. New photos of Mo in her chain maille are up!

| Cool pix of Mo in her new chain maille! Congrats on your elfvampboy being in The States!! I hope you got to rest and enjoy the day! The day was perfect here. Sunny and mid 70s with just a very light breeze! Perfection! We went to the church - a very beautiful old country church. We discussed the table set up with the urns, pix, flag and flowers. There will be two red roses wrapped in a ribbon that says Grandpa that will set in front of the large urn. Then a husband arrangement on one side and a dad arrangement on the other side. Then the flag and pix will fill out the table. There will be a full mass with songs and readings. A podium will be set up with a guest book and holy cards. The luncheon will follow and we will have roast beef, roast turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, a veggie medley, the fruit trays, salads, homemade bread and various drinks. Ice cream sundaes for dessert. Sounds great doesn't it?! There will be about 60 people for lunch so it will be about $1000. I plan to bring my little urn in the heart box with me to the table. I want Dad to enjoy it too! I will also be setting out pix of Dad on the luncheon tables. I hope it is as beautiful a day as it is today! It is on my hubby's birthday and the day after my mom's birthday. Weird timing I know. Oh, and Papa G (the owner) says that any food left over they will pack it all up and let mom and me take it home! So with any luck I will not have to cook on Sunday! | |

| What you have planned for the Memorial service sounds so lovely...I'm sure your Dad would be so pleased. The food list is making me hungry!
Well, I did'nt rest like I probably should have...but the foot did'nt feel too bad so I cleaned like there was no tomorrow! When it is hot like this I feel extra motivated to clean for some reason. I did sit on the front porch for a while this morning and read my new edition of InStyle mag and of course spent some time on the net picking out the eyes I want for my new boy, and downloading pics.
The chain maille could'nt be more perfect...I always wished for an elf-witch warrior outfit something like was shown in the Dollfactory promo photos...and this is very close, but is one of a kind and tons cheaper than I would have paid for that armour set. I bet that would have been 100.00 at least.
I am thinking Mel is older than I thought. I would'nt be surprized if he is an older, gay man. His writing styly tells me he is at least 30-40. Young kids now don't write as formally as he does. And he did mention he is unable to work so took on the hobby of making chain mail...
Gotta go feed the critters!

I'm really sleepy tonight so I am going to get ready for bed. I will have to tape Clay on Kimmel tonight. No way I will make it past 12:30 AM! Talk to you tomorrow!

| Well, Elf/vamp boy left Seattle early this morning...which kind of annoys me. Why could'nt he have made it just one day earlier so I could enjoy him this weekend? I will probably get him Monday I bet, but maybe Tuesday considering our post office closes at 5:00 and I will most likely have to pick him up and sign for him. I must decide on a fitting name for him soon...Gump is not what I want so will definitely need your assistance picking a suitable name. You are so good at it! Well, it is going to be a scorching 95 today so I best get out and ride one of the horses this morning before it gets unbearable! I think I may go to the fabric store later and see about getting some fabric to make some clothes for the nameless one! TTYL! | |

| Cool he is so close!! So I need to find a name that goes well with an elf vampire! This could take awhile! Enjoy your ride! Just low 70s again for us! Lots of sunshine! We will be grilling all weekend. We should go get some flowers for the pots out front, but I am still not in a cheery place. Maybe next weekend. Doing daycare paperwork today since I never did the end of the month book for April. But I am doing it by the big bedroom window with it open and the breeze coming in along with the sunshine. Maybe Rob and I will go for a walk later after I get all the laundry done. I really need to find some fabric. I really have nothing good to use as a background for pix of Milo. I am so behind in taking pix of my dolls. But again, just not really in the mood. I keep wondering when this coat of sadness will be lifted from my shoulders. It really does feel like I am literally wearing the sadness on my upper body. It feels heavy. It will be two weeks tomorrow. It is only a little better. Oh well, I am sure it will lift soon enough. Glad you have a perfect weather day today! You all so deserve it!
I am back inside enjoying the cool! The house is fairly clean so I can chill out the rest of the day! I am excited!

| FC it will take you awhile. I wish I could tell you you will stop missing your Dad but you won't. I always feel there is small hole in my heart from missing my Dad. I miss him and my grandparents every single day. It does get better with time though. I remember shortly sfter I lost my Dad and grandmother pretty close together some days I would just sit in the hall way and cry. I don't do that anymore but I still miss them terribly. Everytime I see the actor Albert Finney it makes me happy because he reminds me of my Dad so much.
I know some good fairy names . Oberon I love from A Midsummer Night's Dream . I know fairies aren't elves but I love the name Oberon.

| Oberon is a nice name!
I went to a site and I liked the name Sedana. He was some kind of prince.
I just can't get over all that he went through the last 13 months of his life. I am so sad for him. For all the horrible things he went through. All the disappointments. All the rehab and therapy just to have the heart attack. Yes, I miss him. Yes, I will always miss him. But mostly I am just so sad for him. I'm sad for my mom. I'm sad for my kids. I'll work through it though.
Albert Finney? Your dad must have been very handsome!

I know it is sad to think how hard your Dad fought. I know your Mom must really miss him. It is amazing how strong he stayed despite what Dr's said. His pics just look so sweet. You will work through. It is tough. i ain't gonna lie.

He is going to be more princely vs. Kingly though as elves go. His elf-witch protege is Mohana, what name goes with that? *scratches head*
