Dayuummm...what happenned to spoilers around here?

Whips FC with a wet noodle...I already had my hopes up Jason would do well with Fragile...I also love the song and thought it was well suited for him.

I will be sure a stay away until after I have watched tonight's show though. I like being somewhat surprized.

Frazz said the only thing we had to spoiler is who got kicked! Don't you remember her asking what people thought? I used to spoiler everything I wrote and she said I didn't have to

Holy Freaking Crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is so awesome!!!!!!!!!! I was so thrilled with the judges comments! I agree with them - David Cook should win!! What an awesome CD he will make!!!!! This is the most excited I have been about an AI contestant since Clay! I have loved everything this young man has done!

I agreed with Randy and Paula on Jason. I thought he sounded fine, but ultimately it was a safe, rather dull performance. A trip to the bottom 3 would not shock although I'm guessing he'd make it through. He really does need to do an uptempo song soon. I consider Simon's criticism harsh but fair in that I disagreed that it was a bad performance but Jason would do well to listen to what Simon says.

He still brings the insanely gorgeous every week though.

Well, David Cook is beginning to step it up, and Jason is really beginning to fade. DialIdol has him going home.

A friend of mine said she thinks he believed his own publicity about his looks and charm pulling him through and gave a dull performance. She said the same thing happened with Chris Sligh last year although obviously it was for different reasons. She also thinks his attitude about whether he was taking this seriously or not was not good.

DialIdol has David Cook WAY in the lead!! For the first time! It has always been David A. in lead from the second the show is over. Always David A. So I am THRILLED!!! about David Cook! I have seriously fallen for this guy and his brilliance (IMHO) and his voice and his style and everything. Tonight he was exactly what Simon said "Amazing!" I truly am nuts for this guy right now!

I think bottom 3 would be good for Jason. He needs to wake up! I am so turned off right now by his inability to put a descent sentence together. Tonight really bugged me. I expect more from a guy/performer than "the pretty".

ETA: I agree with your friend Badger. I think he thought he would go a long way on his looks (can I just add I hatesss the the dreads) and just really stopped working hard. If he ever did. Maybe he just had a few good performances in him. Maybe he always got by with his looks. I won't even say charm anymore because his response to Ryan after the judges comments blew his charm for me. He came across like he should be sitting in that circle on That 70's Show after they all smoked weed

EEEK! I found my spoiler box! Ever since a few weeks ago my whole line of buttons on top were gone and replaced with the symbols that are at IDF. I couldn't figure out what happened. Now I see that I had to click on the little A/A box in the upper right had corner and I got all my buttons back. So now I have a "spoiler" button again!

Yes, I was just doing what they do on the Clay boards and talk about my opinion of the performances. So I didn't think that was spoiling because I assume others will have different opinions.

David is still #1 on DialIdol!

Ladies at The Clack House are calling him "Lord David". Works for me! They are loving him! I am so happy for him. It is so cute that Vickilyn is so hot for him because I always think of her as Con's #1 cheerleader, so I am getting a kick out of seeing her all fangirlie for someone else!

I cannot wait for David's recording of BJ! Sky, let me know when it shows up!

I am watching it live tonight.

I so loved Jason's "What a Day for a Daydream." I am sick of his slow stuff. I did not pay attention during anything but his song, though, so do not have a take otherwise.

I have not so far noticed Syesha, but I did like the sounds she was making tonight, even if it is not my favorite kind of song or style.

Chikezie is up now. I really hope he smashes it outta the park again. I will check back in in a bit.

I thought this was Syesha's best performance by far.

The only one I didn't think did well was Raime. Yes, she's sick, that is a bad piece of luck with everyone else singing that well.

Hey, you gals are really too kind! You don't have to spoiler button for little ole me! I just will know to come into this thread later vs. sooner! You would have to spoiler everything regarding what the judges say and if they were good or not...that is not reasonable. Yes, I am a suspense freak and like to be relatively surprized. For some reason, I am into that more than usual this season.

Now the real contenders are starting to pull away from the pack! There is sure some serious talent this season.

The serious contenders for me:
David Cook (Duh!) This guy is so talented it is ridiculous he is even on this show...Why do I think he may be better off not winning.

Syesha: She is a pro in every sense of the word and has a downright beautiful voice. The emotion she brings to each performance is so rare to see on this show.

Michael Johns: Yes! He finally brought it! What an incredibly tough song to do...and he totally pulled it off.

Carly: I think this gal has an outstanding voice and is hella talented. I am not a huge fan of that song, but I totally think she rocked it and it was perfect for her voice. Randy...Dawg, you need an attitude adjustment.

Brooke: I missed the screw up, but thought she gave a really good rendition of this song. I disagree with Randy and Simon about the arrangement. I thought it was nice when the band kicked in with the up tempo parts, and I usually hate that.

The rest of the pack? Not worth talking about.

Prediction on who will go: Ramielie. Just terrible. Sick or not.

OK, then...executive decision, don't bother with spoilers for anything except the boot when the show is over pacific time that same night, and our lovely Luca won't come into the thread until she has watched it.

Chikezie sucked so I started channel flipping. I actually am more invested in this season's Biggest Loser...so much for variations in taste.

I watched the videos of David Cook and Michael Johns and Carly on rickey.org. All have some major chops in different ways. I liked David Cook personally more than the other two, but I still maintain that if i were hiring singers for the soundtrack behind a film, Carly and Michael would be very high on my list. But that is a very specific niche.

Brook remains the one I will be most likely to pay to spend an evening listening to in some small venue.

DI shows Jason bottom two and Chick at the very bottom. Ramy 3rd from bottom. The last two weeks the person who went home was not the one shown at the bottom, but the one second from the bottom - as Amanda was last week. I still do not think Jason will be the one to go home. I think it will be Chick or Ramy. Poor girl started out so well and so popular. What the heck happened to her? Jason leaving would probably be considered a "shocking boot" and it is too early for one of those.

I adore both Brooke and Carly. I can't decide which one of the two is my fave girl. I love everything about Brooke! So maybe her. Carly has an amazing voice and I totally disagreed with Randy and Simon. I LOVE that song and have Bonnie Tyler's LP with that song on it and Carly sang it even better than Bonnie! For some reason it feels like the judges have turned on her.

Was it just me, or was Randy really hard on most everyone last night? I think he only liked David Cook, Michael, Syesha and Christy. I will say that Christy did pick the right song and sang it well. Seems it saved her from bottom 3 this week. Who would have thought she would make top 9?

I have already watched last night's performance a (coughfewtimescough) and I am completely blown away by it. I love feeling this fangirlie about a new AI contestant again! It's been a long time.
