Sky, I meant about Syesha. Simon told her he thought she was in trouble and she is right behind DC on DI with Archie in third place. Though from all I am reading his fans text and use cells and go-phones. So who really knows - Archie could be getting the most votes really.

OH......................... Maybe Syesha will go this week............

Jason's fanbase has got to be strong enough to keep him in there. I don't know what pact Brooke made with the devil, but it's a doozy.

I doubt Syesha has a fanbase.

Abrahammy, they actually panned the song BEFORE he sang it??? affraid

Yes, Greeneyes, that's what happened. Each of the five sang their first song. Ryan asked for brief comments. Randy said Jason was just all right, right on cue. Then Paula proceeded to rattle off her comments for both of Jason's songs, and they were all negative.

Then they stopped her, and it was just freaking obvious, and Ryan was stuck and Simon was mad and he went on and, rapid fire, angrily panned everybody. I'm not sure he was really angry at the contestants.

I was so freaked out I couldn't evaluate anything after that, but right after this fucking fiasco Jason had to sing again. Some folks said he was listless, and I've seen a LOT of messages that said they thought he was angry.

These jerks succeeded in making calm, pleasant Jason Castro so angry he actually talked back. I'm sure he's sure he's done.

Edited: He is done. He's dead last on Dial Idol. They got him.

I just can't watch them tear my boy a new one tonight. I'll just watch his performances on Rickey and do my own judge's comments. As a matter of fact, Sky, if you want to be a judge, I can be a couple of the judges and we can post their real responses here, as oppposed to the BS they were throwing around tonight.

ETA: OMG! They made it THAT obvious! Wow! Paula really did take a double dose of pills. That's just SO WRONG.

There's a few sides of me arguing. After they've done what they did, his fanbase will be so angry they'll vote double.

Then there's the sudden bounce-back of Syesha and my boy/girl finale theory.

Then, there's the Jason preventing the D-2 finale thing.
I won't watch tonight.

FWIW, apparently Jason did some venting to Soonerlover who is his insider over at the official forums. Not sure what he said, but it must have been bad because she got banned.

You know what? Because of Paula's mistake, they may feel they still need to keep him in, because if he went tomorrow, they'd be so totally screwed.

They don't like free speech so much on the official boards.

I'm just gonna continue with my Dexter recap. Dexter makes me happy. I need to feel happy.

They have a perfect out. A lot of times the judges see/hear the dress rehearsals. Paula will just say she got confused or something because she saw the dress rehearsal.

Sadly, Jason really was bad on the second song - not that anyone can blame him. He was probably too upset. But he was not into that song at all. I think he wanted it over as soon as possible. He knew he would have to stand there and listen to it again.

I am getting through for DC every freaking time! I cannot believe Syesha is in first place. I had to turn the volume down on her second song. WTF? And what is with people in Illinois not voting for DC??? I bet I have gotten 150 votes in for DC. Once Syesha over took him in first place I went into over drive. My husband thinks I am nuts for the endless redialing. I bet I have only gotten 10 busy signals in the last hour! I guess Illinois votes for Archie Razz

Jason's friend was banned??

The judges are totally not there for the dress rehearsal.

I know because I get offers of tickets for the DH and they always say the only difference is the judges aren't there.

Oh, and this is what I mean by DAMN YOU AMERICAN IDOL because once again I'm sitting here seething over their treatment of my favorite contestant.

That Jason sang at all means it was good. I couldn't even imagine singing after that shit.

Oh, well I had heard that sometimes the judges are there (not in their seats) but in the studio/theater and can hear the dress rehearsals. I've never been there so I wouldn't personally have a clue.

If you are right, then I have no idea what Paula will be able to say to make this look good. I think they are screwed. Maybe they won't let Jason go in order to make it look good, but I seriously have to wonder if Jason will even want to stay after this.

If Jason is the great guy I think he is, he will bounce back for his fans. He knows there are a lot of people out here who love him and love to watch him perform.

I'm predicting a huge amount of spin-doctoring on the part of Nigel. I won't watch Good Day L.A. tomorrow, because I'm sure there will be someone there from the AI camp just flinging crap left and right.

I can't wait to hear how Nigel explains this. I think you may be on to something FC, and they'll probably say it's from dress rehearsal, but I've been there and seen the judge's parking spaces and they are plenty empty. I understand they arrive pretty late. I'd be surprised if they're around for Dress Rehearsal.

Let the AI spin machine begin!

Well, my cordless phone battery died with 3 mins. left for me to vote! I wore it out!

I did get some votes in for Jason, but once Syesha took over first place I went into major competitive mode and tried my damndest to get DC back in first place. I cannot believe that little Miss always in the bottom two is ahead of my DC Sad Sad I didn't even like her performances tonight No Please no more Diva Idol winners for awhile people!!

GE, I honestly think that is what they are going to have to say. That Paula was there and heard Jason's dress rehearsal. There is NOTHING else they can possible say that could justify her critiquing a performance that she hadn't seen. If they say anything different I will be shocked.

OK, FWIW, just bringing over some posts from ONTD:

Quote :
It's a pretty well known fact that the judges watch the pre-performances and base most, if not all of their comments and critiques off of that. That is why most of the time you see Simon and Paula talking and bickering during performances because they have already seen it before.

Quote :
Simon has said a few different times that the reason he doesn't pay a lot of attention to the LIVE performances is because he's already seen the dress rehearsals. So that really shouldn't be news.

Quote :
Simon stated before that most of what they say is based on their notes about the rehearsals because the public is less noisy. If it's true or not, I don't care, but this is nothing new.

See, these are things I also heard before. So this is what they will say tomorrow. For all I know it is true she wrote her notes at dress rehearsal because of the way the were going to rush the show tonight. I have no idea if the judges were there and heard the dress rehearsal, but if they have in the past and have said in the past that they are there for it (as the above posters have also heard) that will be all they have to say about this matter.

Well, now that I've seen those comments I am 100% sure they will say that's what she was basing it on, but I still call bullshit on the whole thing.

It's also crummy that they've already made up their minds. DH is to tune up what might not be that good and he could greatly improve his performance, but they've already made up their minds.

It's just horrible that they zapped his confidence before he even took the stage for his next song. I can't even imagine.

Why do they continue to let Paula take whatever pills she's taking? Does anybody else take a deep breath before she speaks because it's 50-50 whether she'll go off and talk about how the wheels on the bus go round and round?

Paula is clearly a messed up lady. I have no idea what her real problem is, but she is off center for sure. When I have listened to her radio interviews (like the one Sky linked here) she sounds 3 sheets to the wind. Her comments can be so off the wall when she is critiquing that you don't even know what she is talking about. I think Simon is fed-up with her this year too. She needs to go! (even though I was thrilled that she said to DC tonight that she felt like she was already looking at the American Idol)

This is not a put-down of David C. in any way, shape or form, but he is now TCO, so she said that to him for the same reason she panned Jason's second song before he sang it. They're building up one and taking one down.

I do think David C. will win and he has earned it. I'm not saying he's not talented or that the comment wasn't warranted, but the buzz was that they were going to take Jason down and they did.

I mean, I remember when Ruben was TCO, they already had his picture up as the American Idol. Many times they start with one and switch to another. DA was definitely TCO at the beginning, but it has most definitely switched to David C. and I'm happy for him because he's worked hard for it.

However, it is all done at the expense of Jason. I do not like what they are doing to Jason to get the ending they want. It's too bad, because it's obvious DC and Jason are friends. I hate it when they are so blatant.

Jason Castro is going home tomorrow.

I think, for all that I voted so hard for him tonight, that is for the best. After what happened to him today, I can't imagine that he'd want to stick around any longer. How can you stay in a place where you know you have no hope of decent treatment? I dreamed of a Final Three showing for him, but the price he would have to pay now - it's not worth it.

Here is a post from The Clack House:

Quote :
They had the Paula gaff on here in Arizona. I too don't think it's that big of a deal. So she took notes during dress rehearsal (maybe even fast notes!)...I thought it was well-known that they watch the dress rehearsals and form their opinions then. We've always seen Simon not paying attention because he had already seen the performances.

Of course, the masses may not know all that and become confused.

Don't give up hope. Several times the person at the bottom on DI was not the one to go home. He has a lot of teen fans who may have texted or used cell phones.

Whether or not he wants to stay is another story.

But the thing that is so important here, folks...

Jason heard the critique of his second song, live on national television, right before he had to sing it. So he had to sing it, knowing that he was about to get blasted.

It's not OK. There's no way to excuse this.

Yes, Abrahammy, that was the worst part. To know before you perform that in just a few minutes they're gonna blast it no matter how well you do and now your mind has been fucked and there's no way you're putting in a good performance after that.

Abrahammy, I totally don't think he's going home tomorrw. It would be really bad press with the mistake and then the vote off. He's not going home.

You guys have posted DI results before and they've been way off. I truly can't believe Syesha has sprinted past DC. Just couldn't happen.

I think Jason is young and resilient and he knows he has a lot of fans and that's who he's doing this for. We're the ones who vote for him.

He's not going.

It is totally clear that they want Jason out at all costs to me too. Simon's comment about Syesha "being in trouble" is what totally sealed it for me. Rolling Eyes

But, Jason does need to go. His performances tonight just seemed to me like he was going through the motions..even before they busted his chops. He actually did better on the second tune. He is just out of his league. Not that I don't like him and enjoy the tone of his voice, and think he is adorable and talented...his voice is just not strong enough or he does'nt have enough control of it to compete at this level. I am glad he got the exposure and made it this far. If he has a good work ethic, gets some good representation, and follows their advice-he may have a shot at making it somehow in the business.

Brooke redeemed herself with I AM and man did she need to after I'm a believer...totally out of her range. Shocked

I am becoming a bigger David Cook fan after his second performance...I hate Neil Diamonds music overall and I actually liked parts of that tune, whatever it was. I will actually buy his music I think. Shocked Twisted Evil
