| I know many of you all here are squicked out by David A., but I agree with Orland that the boy has a god given talent that is rare in the music business. He is a strange one though~ won't argue with any of you all on that one! I think this is going to be an interesting night indeed... I think Mariah is talented, but never really liked her. Her diva attitude is a bit much. | |

| Frazz, I know it was the reporter calling David "the boy wonder", it was Michael's comments about David that made me roll my eyes. As if Archie needs anyone else at Idol pimping him. The judges already drool over him Luca, he is talented. I just found myself not really caring anymore for some reason. He just does not engage me the way several others have. He IS a better "singer" than Jason, and yet I would rather watch Jason. Can't really explain it. He is a cute, sweet kid with a beautiful voice - yet I really cannot get excited about him when he performs. I do try. I wish him well and I know he will win. I just know I would not be interested in catching all his interviews or performances or even get his CDs. So for me, it isn't that I don't like him - I like him fine. It isn't that he creeps me out in anyway - he doesn't at all. I just don't seem to care all that much about him as a "performer". AND - I think this Mariah theme plays right to his strengths as well as the ladies and WHERE does that live Cook and Jason???? I think tonight is going to suck major donkey balls I do not care for Mariah's songs. The girls is gorgeous, sexy and has an amazing voice but I just don't care. Sorta like Archie. Who can understand it? | |

| I feel the same........... David A is very talented, but I'm not the least bit interested and I don't feel like I'm missing anything if I leave the room while he sings. Jason is just a cutie, I love his voice and I love his attitude, I will buy his cd, but he won't win. David C., well I LOVE his voice. I'm hoping these two 'blow the roof off' tonight with their songs, it might be a nice surprise for everyone. I'm hoping for the best and not dreading it. | |

| I hope you are right Sky! I really do! I am just afraid to get my hopes up. I am so afraid of Simon making some "pompous, self-indulgent" comment (which I do not get from David C. at all ) Not only do I want David C. to do well for the sake of competition, but I want things to go wonderful for him so that his poor sick brother and family can have a joyous and fun experience. I really want the Cook family to have a beautiful/perfect time! It does seem that the man is quite ill and I don't want the family to be stressing about David maybe being in trouble if he has a hard time with a Mariah song and Simon is brutal. So I guess I would rather be prepared for a rough night and then be pleasantly surprised if all goes really well! | |

| David A. has a naturally nice voice. It's just...I'm not all that interested in people who can just sing well, but don't bring anything else to the table. I feel an emptiness when he sings.
Nigel? Learn from his "mistake"? Every time they do something like this, people yell from the rooftops about how horrible it is. The only thing Nigel cares about is that people are talking about it for days. Period. As long as that happens, is, they will continue to do cruel stuff to the kids.
There is something Syesha said that I actually agree with: You can change the song around and get criticized or you can sing it the same way and get criticized.

| Syesha is 100% correct! That convo is going on at The Clack House now also (not about what Syesha said) but about how one week it is "hey, you changed it up great dawg and the next is good you know who you are and you stay in your box-brilliant dawg. So how do they know what to do? Stay in their box and be true to who they are, or change it up? One week Archie sings a ballad and Simon calls him boring, the next week Archie sings a ballad and he is "hot, baby hot!". I'd be pulling my hair out if I were those kids. | |

Hello! I saw The clip on CNN where blow hard arrogant Ryan told that kid that last year they didn't send anyone home. MEAN. Ryan to me is almost unbearable with his arrogance. imean he does not have the balls to tell Nigel how cruel that crap is.

| I love a fiery redhead! I agree. Ryan should have had it in him to just not do it. He claimed he didn't know who was going home and just said what was printed on the card for him to say. I wonder if it is possible that that is true and Ryan was just reading the cards and thought that the next card would say "and we aren't sending anyone home tonight either" and instead turned the card to see that it said "Michael you are going home tonight". I doubt it, but that is sort of what Ryan implied. However, I was sure I read somewhere that Ryan is told ahead of time who is going home. I could be wrong though. I know he knew Ruben was the winner before he read the card. Didn't he say now that the winner's name is not on the card anymore? I thought I heard that and that the cards are now blank. I bet Badger would remember. | |

And that is exactly what Nigel and TPTB want him to be.

| Spoiler for tonight's songs and order. I hope this is right! I like that David C. and Jason are the two last performers and that Archie is first. Not that Archie won't still be the highest vote getter and not that they judges won't piss in a circle when he is done singing Here's the reported order from MJ's David Archuleta - “When You Believe” - Carly Smithson - “Without You” Syesha Mercado - “Vanishing” Brooke White - “Hero” Kristy Lee Cook - “Forever” David Cook - “Always Be My Baby” Jason Castro - “I Don’t Wanna Cry” And Elliott Yamin will perform on the results show. BTW, I do not know the song that David C. is singing Or Syesha or Kristy or Archie's Can you tell I am not a Mariah fan? | |

| So far tonight in mu opinion:
Archie - sang pretty, looked 12 Carly - is in trouble. That was not good Brooke - so pretty, so sweet, not so great on the song Kristy - that was really good! I bet she is safe Syesha - not my thing
OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!! David COOK was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Judges and crowd went INSANE!!! He cried!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am in love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need a cold shower right now!!!!!!!!!! He is so safe tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!
Jason - very sweet and different take on the song. His voice is not very strong, but he is interesting. Looked super cute. 2 out of 3 judges really liked it. I think he is safe.
Who I think will be bottom two- Carly and Brooke with Carly going home.

| Thanks!!! I am so happy for him and his family!! YAY! for Adam getting to be there and have such an amazing night! Yes, both our guys are safe for sure! DI has Archie, Cook, Jason at top! Looks like Carly's fans are fired up. Maybe Brooke will be the one going. So sad, but tonight was not so good for her and I do not understand why she is so emotional all the time. Fighting back the tears really messed up the last third of her performance. Such a sweet and beautiful girl though. I haven't been able to get through for David C. yet, but that happens a lot in the first hour. I'll keep trying though. I am just so glad he will be safe tomorrow with his brother there. I so didn't want to have to worry about him getting the boot with his dying brother there It was hard enough watching Con's mom on Black Weds. I felt horrible for that poor woman. | |

| I thought the guys ruled tonight! I'm a Jason fan so I thought he was the best but really the Davids were really really good too. I did like Cookie a bit more than Archie though.
I said a prayer this morning that both Jason and David Cook would perform to the best of their abilities and accept whatever happens with grace and humility. Then I prayed for Jason's energy level and for David's family to hear David at his best at this difficult time for them.

| True Sky, I was going by DI though showing that David C and Jason are in the top 3. Damn if Archie still isn't in first place Is there no way to knock him off the top perch? His performance tonight was totally forgettable - I know because I honestly can't remember the song he sang at all, and certainly not the performance. That much I give David C and Jason - they are always memorable. So are their reactions afterwards. So are their looks and style. I actually like Jason more than Archie now. Go figure. | |

| Oddly, the one song i would like to see and hear Carly sing is Andrew lloyd Weber's "Don't Cry for me Argentina". Theoretically, a perfect type of song for her. if she can't blow me away on that, she deserves to go...but I sure hope she is around for another week and gives that one a try. | |

| Well, Brooke and Syesha are bottom two on DI right now, not that DI has been right on the money this season, but it is possible that Carly could still be around next week. FWIW I sure hope she is. I would also love to hear her do something from ALW. I am dying to see what my David does with an ALW song! I am still hoping that Syesha goes tomorrow. I wouldn't miss Kristy, but she did have a really good night and she has gotten better each week so she may be hanging around. Brooke is special, but I don't think she has any more to show in this competition. Doesn't mean she is not talented and I would love for her to get to make a CD, but she is what she is and I don't think she has the right stuff to continue on too much longer in this type of competition. ETA: EEEEK!! David C. just took Number 1 on DI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can watch my sweet Cook's performance here! Hot Cookie here!

| You know, Firecracker, he really is a better singer than Archie is. Maybe once all the other are gone, the people who don't vote for Cook because they are supporting somebody else (and that would be me) will all rise up and help you overthrow the porkchop.
Why do they call him Porkchop?

| I didn't know they called him "Pork Chop" I have no idea why they call him that I call him "IN THE WAY" because he is the only thing "in the way" of my man winning this thing!! I hope you are right though. I sure would like to see a David C. and Jason finale. Wouldn't that be sweet? A battle of two very different types of AI contestants from all the other years! They would put on such a great finale with their unique styles. Maybe they could even make the coronation songs listenable I'm serious though. How cool would a "Rocker/folk singer" AI finale be?!!! I would just love that! | |

My thoughts exactly until you mentioned the DI results. I would like to see Carly make it to do ALW. Somehow it just won't be right if she does'nt. I am hoping Brooke or Syesha goes. Brooke choked and should really go-"singer/songwriters" should not speed up the tempo when you get to this level..sorry, but that is unforgivable. Don't do the song without a band if you can't stay on tempo....*stabs* After seeing David C. and Jason perform, David A.'s performance totally lost it's impact for me because of the maturity and artistry that the other's showed, I really got a chance to compare the three tonight. They all picked good songs for their voices and performed well, but David C. and Jason really made the songs their own, while David A. just did a very nice job performing a Mariah song...there really is a tremendous difference between just performing well and really interpreting and arranging a song to be something fresh and new. I don't know if we have seen this level of creativity on Idol before. I agree they are both unique and talented artists in their own right...but we all know it is going to come down to the two Davids in the end.
