| OMG FRAZZ! I was going to post here and ask if anyone is watching and saw him tonight!!
I kid you not I was in tears and goosebumps when he was done! What a unique style and gorgeous voice! I loved everything about him! I REALLY hope he goes far in the competition. I would just love to have a CD of his! I cannot wait to hear him sing again!
Thanks for the You Tube so I can watch again and again!

| I immediately went googling for him.
Here is his myspace with several of his songs: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=261228170
I think this one is REALLY one I am in love with...the songs, the voice..all of it.
My favorite kind of music, my favorite kind of voice. I am swooning.

| Thanks! I love "All I'll Be"! "Smile" was a little gloomy for me. Funny he lists Elton as his number one influence because I was thinking he sounds a little like Elton - one of the best voices ever IMHO. AND he is from Chicago!! | |

| I have now watched the Talent video about 20 times already.
This is a performer.
I am so wowed by how he did that song, in particular..so funny and moving and sad and joyous.
Smitten, i am.
Last person I had that huge a reaction to first time out was Tom Waits, 30 or so years ago, who...get this...appeared on the Dinah Shore daytime show.
Eli is a mix of TOm and Elton but vastly prettier than either.

| Oh, "7" is really good too! His views are climbing fast! I hope a lot of people fell in love with him tonight! I agree about his performance tonight. I enjoyed that more than the songs on My Space because he just performed the hell out of it and was wonderful to watch! Only Clay, DC and now Eli have brought me to tears with the way the perform and feel a song. Well, in Clay's case it is more the beauty of his voice then his performance. DC and Eli certainly sing from the heart. I will be watching that You Tube many times also Oh yes, I remember Tom Waits! My first hubby was a huge fan!! OK, I am listening to "Smile" again and it is better with the second listen! | |

| I am so delighted we have a heartthob in common, FC!
It was the watching of Eli that completely blew me away, but i liked the myspace songs.
I am hoping he soars after tonight and that his writing and recording will soon match the performing.

| I am too! I was so hoping someone else here watched and loved him! I thought maybe Sky would go for him too, but maybe she didn't watch. Tonight was the first night I watched it this season because there just wasn't anything else on. It was just meant to be!! Now I will be glued to it to see how Eli does! The bad part is having to vote and worry about someone again I thought once DC won I was out of danger of getting my heart broken over some pretty singing man again America DO NOT SCREW UP!!! | |

| Very interesting voice. You definitely can hear the influence of Elton John and Billy Joel. Yes, I want to hear and see more of this guy. Quite impressed with his performance and I've listened to a little bit of the songs on his My Space. I need to hear it louder and I don't want to wake up DH by turning up the volume now! | |

| YAY Sky! You did watch!
Yes, the voice is interesting and unique. Very different and unusual.
BTW, he was the only one on tonight that I thought had any shot at a successful career.
The black boy band was very good, but does anyone care about boy bands anymore?

| America's Got Talent is by far my favorite reality show. They do not waste as much time on the bad acts, and I genuinely enjoy watching variety acts. People sliding on their heads, tumbling acts, magic acts..all that sort of stuff. i don't necessarily want to see those acts more than once, but i enjoy them the first time. | |

| I've watched the first hour but missing most of the last hour. I hope I'm not missing anyone that is really good. I was impressed with the acrobatic act!
Of course I'm watching FC!! I'm a reality show junkie! It will depend who the finalists end up to be whether I watch it all though.

| Well, maybe the more they see him. I wonder how the ratings are for the show at this point. I know in the past I have not watched until the finals. Not the audition process that they are in right now. Too many bad acts to sit through.
Maybe a few more songs and he will blow people away. I hope so anyway.

| I hope so. In any case, I hope he gets signed (maybe Sharon Osborne could manage him!) I don't know that he will be one of those arena playing acts ever, but I am still completely awed. I keep going back to watch the video to see if I was in some twilight zone state where i was imagining things.
Nope! I think he is really fantastic.

| No, it was not you in a twilight state When he finished his song I broke out in spontaneous applause and had tears in my eyes. He had a major effect on me too. You could tell the judges loved him and were very impressed, especially Sharon (I love her BTW. She is a hoot!) Sharon did an incredible job managing Ozzie so I think she would make a great manager for Eli. She already has a good appreciation for him. Nowadays I think fewer and fewer acts can fill stadiums. | |

| I thought he was good, but there's a lot of show left. And even on IDOL, there were people who nailed an audition but never made it past the first round in Hollywood. So we will have to wait and see. | |

| I am watching, almost halfway through...nothing so far even remotely interesting tonight. I had high hopes for the painting pig, especially when e got pissed off at Jerry Springer (and, I hope, Piers).
I will keep semi-watching..I figure they will actually show an act at some point tonight.
************
I watched until the end. I am usually appalled by little kids, especially ones with sad stories, being put on display. But I was moved, profoundly, by this kid. What was the difference? Something to do with the sound of his voice, combined with the true-ness of how he said (sang) the words. That little being delivered a high level heartbreaking performance. No idea what his future will hold, but that sure was moving.

| I wanted to see the boob lady actually doing it..did they show it and I blinked, or did they just cut away to Springer and judges when she was actually doing it? | |
