I had to look, and given the results I am glad I did.
NEAL?????????????????? WHo the fuck in America is going to pay to see him??? This ain't England!!!!! Glad Eli came in second, regardless. I think it is a real shame that Stringz did not win. I hope they get a fabulous Vegas contract.
I will watch the last few minutes of it when it is on here.

| - Spoiler:
I was pretty disappointed too. Not my pick at all. I am currently reading an NBC forum board set up for fans of AGT. The reactions are a lot of very upset people with nobody buying the results. Turns out a long time ago the NE did a story about Neal being a plant. Who knows, I can only say that there are several pages in the thread for the finale and it is overwhelming full of shock and WTF? posts. At that board Eli and NBS were by far the faves to win. Mostly Eli - and by a lot. Nobody thinks people are going to go to Vegas to see an opera singer. I know nothing about opera singers but there are a lot of people on that board who say Neal is not even that good for an opera singer and that he is off key a lot. I wouldn't know since I personally do not care for opera singing at all. Nothing personal toward Neal, seems like a nice man, but I myself would never have any interest in him or buying music by him or going to see him. I so hope that Eli gets a recording contract and SOON or I will be crushed

| My theory, then, is that because Paul Potts was a genuine sensation for Britain's Got Talent, they think the same deal will happen with Neal. They are WRONG. Partly because Neal is good but not sensational, but mostly because Americans really don't respond to operatic sounds unless they are done by a genius singer, and even then only once or twice a generation.
If is wasn't fixed, I have no theory whatsoever, since it is such a stupid idea to think he will be a Vegas hit.
Now, ELI! ELI!!! I expect an announcement very soon that some major label and major mangers..all that stuff, gets announced. If two weeks go by and we hear nothing like that, I....I....I....don't know what I will do, since I have no connections...but it will...dang...I can't even say,.
ElI! You are a major talent! You will be signed, ASAP, and you will do a tour opening for somebody major and appropriate.
Then your CD will come out and people will go crazy for it, and you will get major jobs singling, playing writing, scoring movie scores...on and on.

| I am shocked as well. I really thought NBS was going to win this thing, everyone I heard from wanted them to win......except me.
If not NBS, I thoght for sure that Eli could win, but not Neal. I like Neal, and I love the song Nessun Dorma, but that's really the only operatic song we heard from him. If everyone was saying NBS was going to win and possibly Eli, how could Neal have won?
Eli just has to get a contract! I do have some of his performances in MP3 format.....I haven't listened to them yet, but I'm willing to email them to whoever should want them. I've never used any site for upload or download before, so I'm not sure I can do it that way.

| Color me shocked that NBS didn't win. I thought for sure they had it in the bag. I figured Eli and Queen Emily would be fighting it out for the runner-up spot.
You know last year the singer-songwriter guy also came in second.

(((((((((((((fellow eli fans))))))))))))))))))) I only have: Against All Odds "Sorry Seems to be the Hardest" Waaahhhh, I thought he found more than that.....I'll have to check with him. Eli had a cd out titled 'Monsters', but I read on Facebook that he can't legally sell it now??? WTF? My hubby said he didn't think the mp3's were good or he didn't think Eli sang well! WTH??? They sound great to me! He does have an odd sense for music though.........

| I am no a good recordkeepr, alas..so I have no idea where I was finding them and I can't find them on my computer, either, alas.
So the search beings anew, just as a place to start:
I just found these (can't vouch for any of them):

You can also set to play on his myspace page and use recording software to save them.
Here is a a start on that: http://www.sound-recorder.com/
I have used this one, but not recently (it was fine): http://applian.com/freecorder3/download.php

| OK, back to Eli.
Yep, I know it too. He will do very well in whatever niche suits him best. Of that I am certain.
Just guessing about that niche, I would say whatever performer-niche Dave Matthews is in. I don't actually know what that is these days.
From his own compositions... don't know enough about them yet, but if he turns out brilliant, than no telling how gigantic he will become.
Even if he turns out not a genius writer, his tone, and the feeling his tone and persona impart, I can absolutely see him being hired to write and sing film scores. He evokes emotional states brilliantly.
And on a personal level, I would pay to see him anywhere I had access to.
And if the double bill of Jason and Brooke was the warm up I would be in heaven.

| Some Youtubes with Eli and Neal singing together.
They are not rehearsed enough, but I love the idea of them singing together and being pals.
If anybody had news of Eli, please post it.
