| If you think you will have lots of fun with friends and enjoy the music - GO!!Life is too short, and sometimes too difficult, to not take advantage of every wonderful memory you can make happen! You know he's complicated. You've excepted it. Just go have fun! Like you say, he won't know who you are. Who knows, maybe in his heart he feels bad about what happened. Ouch! I felt that smack GE!!! OK, so maybe he's not sorry. But maybe he forgot all about it. I just know you were really looking forward to it and I think you will feel down when the weekend is over and you hear about all the fun everyone had. Besides, I was looking forward to your recap!! | |

| Elliot Yamin, Switchfoot all set to storm the Philippines - Quote :
- IT’S CONFIRMED! American Idol sensation Elliott Yamin is coming to Manila as part of his Asian tour.
Known for his gritty, raw voice, this well-loved tenor placed third in the finals of the fifth season won by Taylor Hicks. Critic Simon Cowell described Yamin as “potentially the best male vocalist in the history of American Idol.”
Born in Los Angeles, Yamin admits that he has never received formal training in music—“I’m karaoke-trained!” One year after the end of American Idol’s fifth season, Yamin had released his first self-titled album. His CD is the kind that is genuinely moving, grooving, touching and comforting and he will be in all the Ayala Malls to promote the album.
Catch Elliott Yamin at the TriNoma on September 21, Glorietta on September 22, Market! Market! on September 23, Ayala Center Cebu on September 26 and Alabang Town Center on September 28.

| Sorry FC! It wasn't meant to be a smack on anyone here, clearly, who love their families and don't defend his hidious behavior. i'm talking about the women who really don't defend their children as much as they defend him. I would also bet that if their child talked to another adult in that manner, there would be punishments handed down. I don't know how they're excusing all this. It's clearly a whole lotta delusion and a reluctance to face facts about someone they've obviously put years of love and time into. If they were to admit what a freakin' creepy creepy creeeeeeeeeeeepy creep he is, they would have to say that all the time and energy they've put into him was worthless. They'd have to admit they were wrong. The GS chicks have a hard time admitting they're wrong about anything.
You and Abrahammy can at least say you know he's a creep and an asshole, but you enjoy him as a performer. These other women are unable to separate the two. Oddly enough, so am I. So, we're on the same page there. The only problem is that since they won't separate the two, they have to live in the alternate universe where he's a good Greek boy who loves his mother, treats people respectfully, only acts like an ass to those who deserve it, and has an amazing career ahead of him. If they were to deny any one of those things, the world they've built would come crumbling down around them. Clearly, their lives revolve around him and they would feel completely empty if they had to admit he's not the person they've made up in their minds and maybe have to deal with real life for a minute.
See, now I would look forward to Abrahammy's recap. 'Cause she doesn't have those rose-colored glasses on.

See, now I would look forward to Abrahammy's recap. 'Cause she doesn't have those rose-colored glasses on. Sigh. We'll see, GE. I think this last PM kinda changed things. It's one thing to know that he's generally rude to his girlfriends, or to know that he's abrupt and tactless in person. It's another to know that he recognizes my particular screenname, associates it with somebody critical of him, and doesn't seem to like me very much. That the performer/fan fourth wall has broken down and his assholeness has now become, not observing that he's an asshole, but observing that he actually dislikes ME - or, at least, the GS persona Abrahammy that sometimes says negative things about him. It's become personal. That's stupid. Why the bloody hell does he know who I am? I don't flood his mailbox with PMs. I don't bother him. I don't solicit his attention, negative or positive. This is really getting kinda weird. It's not that he was all THAT nasty - I forgot, when I read his PM, that GREEKBOY LIKES THE ALLCAPS BUTTON AND USES IT INDISCRIMINATELY BECAUSE HE DOES NOT CARE THAT IT'S FUCKING ANNOYING. IF HE HAD NOT ADDED, "GET OVER IT!" TO THE END OF THE MESSAGE, IT WOULD NOT REALLY HAVE BEEN TOO BAD AT ALL. EXCEPT THAT HE WAS SHOUTING AT ME! And we all know how annoying that is. Eh. Maybe what I mistake for personal animosity is just complete cluelessness. Austin - are you going? I might be able to stand it if I know there is one other person there who knows he does not walk on water. Right now GS is unbearable. If I read one more birthday message I'm gonna say something rude. It kinda felt different when I was an anonymous critic.

| Abrahammy, the very weirdest and creepiest thing about him is that he treats people who think they are anonymous fans as though they are his ex-wives, or some other very personal connection.
Just as fans build fantasy relationships with the object of the fandom, Constantine builds antagonistic fantasy intimate relationships with his fans!
It was his arrogantly assumed (by him) intimacy that left me aghast when he had his tiff with me.
I think he is nuts. Not even just a narcissist. NUTS.

| Abrahammy, I don't know if I'm going. I mentioned it to DH and he said "okay." Of course that was before I just spent the entire weekend at ACL practically. I came home at night but after the kids were asleep.
I have a cheap hotel room booked for me (from a friend) for Saturday night. But I don't have to use it. And if we can be honest (here come my self-image and low-self-esteem issues), the people I'm supposed to hang out with are mostly in their 30s (low) and I feel old, ugly and fat right now. So, I just don't know. I have issues!
I'm not really thinking about him at all in the mix. It's just whether I want to drive up there and hang out with people.
Some of the GSers (honestly) were really annoying last year. They did a lot of carrying on during the performances and I wanted to shake them. And the crazed look in the eyes just added to it.
And I may have a stalker. Well, I guess not really, but there is this women in San Antonio who called me in May to see if I was the one who harrassed HER and was mean to her in Dallas last year. I was flabbergasted. She said SOMEONE told her it was me, although it was a short woman with red hair (so not me). Now she's writing me to see if I'm going this year. She wants to see me.
I do love Boggia though. He was REALLY fun at SXSW.
I'm conflicted about going obviously.

Whoa, whoa. I just got a mission. You have friends in their low 30s and they want to hang out with you? Darlin', I'd consider that a supreme compliment and revel in it. That's really very cool. Age is a number, and in this decade that number is five to ten years younger than it used to be. And if you have other issues, you can hang out with me too, because I am also old, ugly and fat... but when I look at others in my situation I realize that every other somewhat overweight woman of 40 that I know looks just fine to me. It's only the teenager I was that I miss, but she was a neurotic mess, so there is a trade-off. Let's go drink some Greek booze and applaud Jim and have fun. Himself can be as crazy as he likes; maybe I'll even tell him to stop PMing people who are trying to be his fans in spite of everything! (Hey, I LOVE Fading Into You.)

| I hope you both go and have a blast!! Sad how we women have been made to feel that we shouldn't even go somewhere because of what people will think of our bodies I bet there are no men in the world who would let a beer belly keep them from a fun time with the boys at a game. Society has sure messed with women's' self esteem | |

| He was actually one of the judges at the beginning of Rockstar Supernova last summer (his hair was shorter). He is a well-known producer and, in fact, was Rolling Stone's Producer of the Year for 2005. He quit the show after a couple of episodes although I don't know the details. I should look it up. He was REALLY sexy and fun during his performance in Austin. And BTW, I've just started participating in the Butch thread over at rawkhands.org and this is something I found there from over a year ago: - Quote :
I know that we have referenced this before, but is any one besides vgg and I getting the vibe that Butch is what we thought Constantine was? Smart, funny, snarky, irreverent, and not ashamed to be a dork? Help me! I'm getting a crush on this guy. - Quote :
- Q: Have you popped up as a judge on "Rock Star:SuperNova"?
A: Yeah, but I wouldn't give 'em more than one appearance. They edited the s- - - out of me, kind of made me seem like a kiss-ass. They skipped over the 10 contestants where I had critical things to say.

| I am sorry if this isn't the right place for this, but I just went to youtube and for some reason this was a featured video for me. It is adorable. Apparently Jim Boggia's girlfriend (he is a guitarist and producer for Constantine), had a birthday yesterday (it was also C's birthday, interesting), and he made a video for her:

| Some Bo news. This was on Bo's official site, and is most likely from the press release for his CD:
“This time it was just total freedom. We had no inhibitions about what this was going to be; we just went in and did whatever we wanted to. The freedom shines through.”
SEE THE LIGHT (StratArt) is the kind of classic American album that’s heard all too rarely in these days of careful calculation and tight formatting. BO is the kind of artist who can’t find enough musical roads to travel, and he demonstrates it on this broad-reaching 10-song set that spans the crunchy, Southern-fried rock of “This Train,” “Got Money” and “Whiskey, Women & Time,” the funky groove of “Witness,” the swampy soul of “Take the Country Out of Me” and stark, emotional ballads such as “Only Words” and “Sinner in a Sin.”
Also Bo's CD is going to be available exclusively at Wal-Mart stores. There's a special pre-sale going at walmart.com from now until October 23. After October 23, it'll be available from "other digital avenues". The Eagles CD is also being sold this way.

| Yes, it's on an indie label but it looks like they're really going all out for him. He's shooting a video this week for the single which is going to be "Witness".
Bo's label is tied in with his management and I'm guessing he's got some sort of partnership deal with them since it's called $ugarMoney/Stratart.
And yes, the only store it'll be available at is Wal-Mart. My guess is that they expect Bo's older fans will buy a physical CD while fans who have problems with Wal-Mart plus younger fans will get a digital version online.

| Mikalah news! She can't sing but I thought she was funny! - Quote :
- Some news from her website:
The FALL of Mikalah Gordon! 08.31.07
As always you hear it FIRST here! Mikalah was just in New York City for a week shooting Tyra which is now based in NYC! She also met with a lot of different people and has a lot of things in the works! SO SO SO exciting!
Mikalah flew back to LA and the next day was shooting for a new game show called "Temptation" which will air on FOX as soon as we have airdates we will post that, it was her, Justin Guarini and Kimberly Caldwell competing for their favorite charities!
Now for the best news! Mikalah will be on the HIT CBS drama "The Unit"! She will be featured in one episode (We think it is the 6th of the season, but more details to come!) This is so excited and a great part for Mikalah!
Remember Judd Harris? You can hear his bands CD here: http://earbuzz.com/modules.php?mod=artistpage&artistid=9 Ace performing Father Figure at the Idol Camp! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZF_mwdwuxdI Ace on the MDA Telethon singing one of his originals. Now, Ace...........He really did 'nail' that performance! I always liked Ace and I always thought he had to work on his stage presence. He's looking better. I remember on Idol he sometimes looked like a deer caught in headlights. He's always been nice to look at though!

Abrahammy, the reason he singles you out is because you're probably the only one on that freakin' board who doesn't just fawn over him and act like he's a god and show pictures of the shrine you built in his honor. You're honest and forthright and freakin' intelligent. You live in reality and you speak from reality without fear of repercussions from "him" actually reading the boards and having himself a hizzy fit. Everyone else there is uber-cognizant of that fact and go out of their way to pucker up real big and kiss his ass. You're not being mean. You're being honest. To quote a certain movie: "HE CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!" (said in all caps in honor of his hiney-ness) - Quote :

When I saw Ace perform at the concert, live, he was awesome. He wasn't being judged and could just have fun onstage. I screamed my head off for him. He had fun. So, maybe it was just AI that made him go deer-eyes. I was really hoping he'd capitalize more.

| See now, GE, above, is the reason I do believe that becoming non-heterosexual would be a good thing.
Alas, just as gay people have no choice (In My View) so do Hets Have No Choice.
Otherwise, GE and I would be married, most likely, maybe.
But one of us would need to make money.
And as two straight women, life sucks in that regard.
Dang. I had acting class tonight. Drank many beers with the waiters/bartenders closing out the night (my young boyfriends from class didn't show tonight). The waiters/bartenders are all actors.

| Wow Frazz, I totally second your entire post (except for the acting class thing, since I'm not in one). We'd totally be married and probably both be making tons of money because we're bothe each other's biggest cheerleader!
I've always said it does suck that I'm hetero and I do believe neither is a "choice". How ridiculous is it when people say that? Drives me crazy. I once challenged someone who used the "the bible says it's wrong" defense. I said, "OK, if someone dug something up from biblical times that changed everything and we suddenly knew for sure that we'd been interpreting the bible wrong. That men were supposed to be with men and women with women. Would you then be with a woman? She refused to answer my question.
Onto topic, I can't see Ace ever coming out and saying for sure. Time will tell. He is one sexy mofo either way.

Ah, quoting the bible... while we are using Leviticus to cut homosexuals off from the rest of society. let's also: 1. Make crab boil, shrimp cocktail and pork illegal. 2. Set apart menstruating women as unclean for seven days. Then make her sacrifice two turtledoves. Every. Month. 3. Make slavery legal again, as long as we release them during the Year of Jubilee. This list could go on for some time. It's quite amusing. There are a lot of things in the Bible that NOBODY follows anymore, including a couple of things that I wish we hadn't lost. (For example, I think it might be nice if people had the option not to work on Sunday. There was a reason for those Sabbath laws.) Let me just say that anybody who gets up in the pulpit on Sunday morning, decries homosexual behavior, and then goes to IHOP afterwards and demands to the waitress that she bring him bacon is missing what I see to be an incredible irony.

| Well, of course abrahammy, observant Jews and Muslims do follow that pork thingy. We don't, although it's quite rare for me to bring pork into the house (although I have NO problem with shellfish!) My mom would never knowingly eat pork, but loves shrimp and lobster. She doesn't mind homosexuals either! And actually our own rabbi married 2 congregants a couple years ago who happened to both be women. Let's just say it made for quite some lively discussions. | |
